INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring
I can relate to the articles point that building a strong team does indeed begin in the hiring process. At Raising Canes, our interviews focus heavily on giving a background of the company. We then discuss with the potential hire what they would be able to bring to our team to help us continue our mission. After we have decided to move forward, our new hires go through a length orientation that focuses on Raising Canes founding, mission, and culture. The company does this to instill a dedication and passion from the very beginning. They do this in hopes that it will create more dedicated and valuable crew members.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring I feel that this article is exactly what many mangers and business owners need to read and go by. They always have a goal or a vision for the future that they want to accomplish but don't have the right employees. They have employees that are at work each day to clock in, do work, and recieve a paycheck instead of people who want the company to thrive and have some of the same or similar goals as thier leader. The process of hiring is extremely important and shouldn't be rushed because so many people seem as if they would fit perfectly but are just acting that way until they actually get the job.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring
I agree with this article. Hiring people who fit in well with your team, are enthusiastic about your company and can bring new ideas to the table is the best place to start. The people you hire is the foundation of what you will have to work with.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring
I think that this is a good article for interviewees to see what managers are looking for from their point-of-view. I think one of the most important things to when interviewing, is to be enthusiastic about what you’re applying for. If you walk in with a pessimistic attitude, the interviewer will almost instantly mark you down as a big NO probably before the interview process even begins. So be prepared and passionate about the potential job opportunity.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring The hiring process is an extremely important step to having a successful business. You want to find employees who are excited, motivated, and can dedicate themselves to your company. These type of employees are why many successful companies are at the point they’re at today. Hiring employees who has a selfish or lazy mind set is not the path you should take if you wish to succeed because these employees will only do enough to get by, looking out for themselves, instead of the company.

Alt link 26: INSTANT MBA: If You Want Your Employee's Respect, Do The Dirty Work Yourself
Sometimes the leader who does the dirty work wins over his employees respect and then some. Even in the Bible Jesus washed his followers feet, essentially saying that if he wouldn’t do something how could he ask others to do something. Today, there is a trend of CEO’s walking a mile in their employees shoes by working the entry level jobs for a day(undercover boss tv show/Dominoes advertisements) . Today this is mostly for publicity, but still the basic idea behind it remains.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring
Interviews is where passion begins. Finding passionate people is quite easy when you ask the right questions. First, you must get them talking about whatever they are passionate about - and you must dig deep sometimes. Once you find that "thing" they are passionate about, you can find out how deep that passion runs. Hiring people who are overly enthusiastic about their life is the easiest type of employees to motivate. Simple treats like movie passes, dinner coupons, and free desserts is what keeps those type of people going. Those are the kind of people you want to find when you are interviewing. Give them the vision that you would like to see them become and keep allowing that vision to grow as they do.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring
Inspiration can really mean many things. The basic and most logical meaning doesn't apply here. That kind of inspiration is the kind that people need to either bring to the table themselves or taught to carry with them. But it could also mean a sense of pride in a business, a sense of wanting to better a product or company simply because you believe in it. This kind of inspiration is what an employer needs to look for and show in the hiring process, and that will help foster success.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring
My teachers always stressed how important it is to know the history of the place you want to work at before you go in for an interview. If the person giving the interview sees that you have knowledge of the company you have a advantage that the other applicants don't have. Also if you go into a interview and the person who is giving you the interview is not very enthusiastic then that may indicate what kind of people you will be working with. If you own a business you should be a good example to your employees about how you want work to be done. If you have a positive attitude then that will motivate your workers to stay positive also.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring
I agree with this article whole heartedly because this is something I have recently witnessed. I am about to start a management internship with Harrah's Casino. I just had to go through 2 rounds of panel interviews. They were by far the most unique interviews I have ever been on. A panel of 3 judges interviewed 21 candidates at one time. They told us that they had our resumes and knew we had what it takes but they were an entertainment company and they wanted to be sure that we could entertain. They made us sing and asked us off the wall fun questions. They were loud and flamboyant and they told us they only accepted the best of the best. They talked up their company the whole time and you could tell that the generally care about their company and are passionate about what they do. Their energy is contagious and I am very excited to see what this company is all about, and be a part of it.

I think this article is spot on. Hiring people who are interested in being a member of a team is huge. Looking at a company as a team is a great perspective. It is also important to pick people who are hungry for growth. I think hunger goes hand in hand with competitive spirits.

INSTANT MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In The Hiring Coming from Human Resources I have to agree, it starts at the hiring process when it comes to keeping the inspiration going. However, the company its self has to be inspiring to draw a crowd of applicants. If not then they are selecting from the bottom of the pool of applicants and will be hard to find those enthusiastic candidates.

Instant MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In the Hiring
Hiring a good team is one of the most important aspects of a business, without a doubt. This is probably the biggest reason I am going into Human Resources, and that is because I want more than anything to be able to take responsibilty for the success of a company through their employees. I want to attract people to a certain job, and keep them satisfied with their job, which is both beneficial to them and the company as a whole. Employees who want to come to work have a positive affect on themselves and their personal lives, as well as the lives of the people around them, both at work and at home.

Instant MBA: Inspiring Your Team Begins In the Hiring
I loved working for a boss that loved what she did and the company she worked for. She was always happy and made work fun. I remember when she hired me and spoke about the work I would be involved in. She was so passionate and enthusiastic that she made me feel lucky to be hired. I hope the people that work for me feel as lucky as I did when I got the job.

The individuals that come into the work place excited about their new job and new company are more likely to work hard to contribute and stick around for the long haul. This is probably the biggest reason I am going into Human Resources, and that is because I want more than anything to be able to take responsibilty for the success of a company through their employees.I believe that is why now the hiring process is long.
