The video talks about success in small business. "Managing a small business is like managing a big family" this is very important if you can manage your business the way you take care of your family, taking the responsibilities and making sure your employees and customer are happy and being there to support them. Listening to your employees and customers is a key to success, as a owner/ management you cannot know everything, you need other support and ideas just as a good family need each other.

I love how he describes managing a small business, he says it is like managing a big family. It is important for managers not to get so rigid and caught up with their own agenda that they ignore the big family they have working for them. Listening to your employees give them a sense of importance in the business and they will support your more when your need it. Treating your small business as a family encourages teamwork and better results for your business.

Its all about getting everyone involved in a business and sometimes you have to work from the middle of the store and not the back. Customers don't go to the back of the store, there looking around at the product or trying to get help from a worker in the store. Even the manager of the store can get involved in helping customers. When everyone is involved its just a better environment and people start to love there jobs then.

Eneslow Pedorthic Enterprises: Lead from the Middle
This video discusses the importance of higher management's presence in the workplace. When an organization understands that the 'decision-makers' care about the business and not just a bottom-line figure the organization as a whole becomes more productive. Listening to employees and the customers is vital to a business's success.

I definitely like the idea of this video. I think that too often businesses, no matter how big or small, can forget that their team operates as a family toward their goals. I think that the businesses that do the best are the ones with the best culture, and if people feel like they are a part of something while they're on the job, it is much more likely to do well.

I believe any manager can relate to this video of a small buisness. This video seems to be helpful to any small buisness manager and explains why its good to lead from within.

Every manager in every company should watch this video. It is on point with exactly what a manager should do. It is important for a manager to be present and be involved in the company. They should take care of their employees just as they would their family. It is important for managers to have their employees know that they are here when needed. It is also important for a manager to get ideas and advice from employees. There is no better feeling, as an employee, than when you know your manager values your advice an ideas.

managing a small business is like managing a family. You cannot manage a store from the back of the store, you must look to start in the middle. You must make sure that everyone takes care of their responsibilities, and give the people the right amount of tools and power to do the job that needs to get done. Listening to your employs and customers is key for success, and if the family supports you, you are going to have a great business.

I love this video. It makes so much sense. It describes managing a business from the middle. Not from your desk behind paperwork. You should be out engaging with customers and learning what they have to say. Learn their wants and needs so that you can cater to them. Afterall, they are the people who keep you in business.

I liked Enselow's approach to management. Treating employees and customers of a small business like a family means that everyone is appreciated, everyone's opinions and feedback are sought, and everyone's thoughts are taken into consideration when decisions are being made. I love to hear that this manager worked on the floor with the sales people and the customers asking what they thought and how they felt. He let the technical employees, like the accountants and bookkeepers, deal with the behind the scenes while the manager works directly with the employees and encourage them to share their experiences to share in the creating and building of the business.

This video was really good. He looks like a great boss to have. The part about a small company being like a big family was really good. Smaller companies who focus on the customers, but also has a respect level for their employees is great. His business was shoes but they sold an experience as well. When you have employees who are appreciated they sell your product ten times as hard as they should. They believe in your company.

It is true, managing a small business is like managing a small household. Smaller businesses need to be more like a family. Everyone has a role and they need to carry their load. You need to interact with your staff and customers. Like the speaker states, the business is not ran from the back room. You need to spend as much time engaging with customers and staff, try to encourage them to share their ideas. You can not grow a business without the help of your employees, so make sure they are helping you on every step.
