INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
I like the approach this article takes on taking business decisions gone wrong and making that into a learning experience. As I have discussed before, failure is actually an important part of a business. Not all mistakes will lead to bankruptcy, so it is best to take your mistakes and turn them into a success.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
What the author speaks about, I try to teach my children. When anyone, including a manager or child, makes a mistake, it should be made into a teachable moment. What do you think went wrong with your decision? What could you have changed? How are you going to react different if you are brought into a similar situation in the future? All these questions, and more, need to be asked and answered, to make sure the same mistake doesn’t get made twice.

As a leader, you have to own your mistakes or you will make them again. You must be personally accountable for your own decisions, and those of the people under you, or you will not succeed as a leader. The embarrassment of bad decisions will bring lessons with it, and those lessons are extremely valuable both in a business setting, and in your personal life. there is no such thing as success all the time, but learning the lessons of failure can make you successful when it really matters.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
I like how the article talked about as a leader, you are required to make decisions on a daily basis. With every decision, there comes a trade-off and a certain cost. Nobody is perfect but its not OK to make the same mistakes. If you learn from it then it was not mistake, rather a learning experience. We all live and learn, whether it be in or business or life in general.

MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
Making mistakes are all about growth! Acknowledging something was done wrong, learning from what was done, and taking the right steps to make things right! Most people don't want to take the blame for anything but accountability is a huge part in success.

I think it’s important to realize that as humans, we are not perfect. We will not make the right decisions all the time and we need to embrace that. I think it is more important to learn from your decisions and learn what the outcome can be and all of the things that can be affected by the decisions you are making. When you make a bad decision, I think it’s healthy to feel regret, learn from it, and move on. You shouldn’t sit and hold onto it for a long time because it already happened, there’s nothing you can do about a decision you already made because it is in your past. You just need to continue on with your life, learn from it, try your best not to make the same mistake again, and move on. You can do better.

Embracing bad decisions seems like a foreign concept to me. But I guess eventhough it may be hard to do. It is not impossible. Embracing bad decisions may prevent you from making a bad decision in the future.

This has been a theme in some other articles. It is important as a upper level decision maker to learn from your mistakes. Do not dwell on them until they overcome you, but look at the positive aspect in the outcome. You can always learn something new to improve the current way things are taking place. It is vital to know how you can make a better decision for yourself in the long-run.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
This article discusses how people deal with their failures. I feel that people have to make several decisions everyday and no one is lucky enough to make only right decisions. As a result, failure is inevitable. Everyone will fail at some point. Some failures may be very bad and others many be miniscule, however people will still fail. What is so important about this is that it is important to be able to learn from your failures and be able to move on. You cannot dwell on your failures but still be focused on the future.

This link talks about accepting mistakes and learning from them. When making a mistake you should never act as if it never happened. You have to embrace them so you can grow from it. Making decisions is a part of a business and there is no such thing as making the right decision all of the time.

I think this article is trying to tell you as a business owner when you do make a mistake do not push it to the side and move on. You must bring it in the open and discuss what happen. Being aware of what happen and realization of what you can do to improve on your mistake is key to learning how to become a better leader. Learning from your faults and discussing solutions can help your company grow and become stronger in the market.

This article is something that everyone can learn from. Learning from your past mistakes. Whenever you make a bad decision, instead of brushing it off you should learn from your past endeavours. It is all about being able to move forward with what you know and have learned. Also make sure you take an in depth look at your past errors and really break it down to make yourself better. This is definitely one of those lessons that everyone can take home to learn from an apply.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
The authors make the point that we should all try to analyze and learn from our mistakes. This is true in life as well as in business. We are preached this from the time we are children, but do we really listen to the advice and do it? I can recall a few times in my own life when I was at my lowest point. It was often during those times when I'd stop and do my deepest thinking===even though I may not have liked my thoughts at the time. It was following those times that I'd try to always remember how I felt DURING those times, which would help me avoid making the same mistakes twice. In business, it's just as important to learn from your mistakes to prevent making similar ones in the future. By doing so, you're helping to ensure your business has a better chance of succeeding.
