INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
A good leader can always take the good away from the bad. Even if they are to slip up and do something that would have a negative outcome, the best thing to do is find any lessons that are being taught and learn the outcomes so they do not happen again. This can build on the experience of the leader and ultimately make them a better manager. This article urges you to really embrace and pay attention to all the variables that bad decisions can affect. This is important in remembering the lesson for future precautions.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
I agree with the article one hundred percent. Everyone makes bad choices but it's what you do after the choices that matter. In my life, I have made several bad choices, however with each mistake I learned a lesson. Sometimes I am hard on myself with the bad choices I have made but I know that I can't change the past. When I make a mistake I learn what not to do so I can avoid the same mistake in the future. Nobody is perfect. Everyone makes mistakes so don't dwell on the past. Fix your mistakes if you can and move on.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
I think that the value of failure is something that every businessman/woman should embrace. I strongly believe that you learn much much more from your failures than you do from your successes. The reason for this is because ………….well it hurts a lot more when you fall. Some may fall hard than others, but if they learn, will rise up faster and stronger than before.

Alt link 49: INSTANT MBA: Communication Gets Lost Throughout The Chain Of Command
The message of goals getting lost through the chain of command is like the telephone game children play in preschool. The message starts at one end, but may chage a little every time it is passed from on person to another, eventually the end message is completely different from what was first said. It is good that Duggan is transparent with the company's employees that way the message is visable and will not get mixed up and changed.

Bad decisions will happen. As long as you make more good decisions than bad ones you will be in good shape. Do not lose your cool and embrace the learning along the way.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
For any manager, a hard lesson would be the "your wrong" lesson. As a manager, you feel like you need to be in charge and be a good example. So, when something does wrong, and its your fault, its really challenging. But a good lesson would be to always make sure you understand where you went wrong and take steps to avoid it the next time. That way, its a way to learn from the past and correct the future.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
I feel a mistake is only a "mistake" if you don't take the time out to learn the lesson from it.I like this article because it helps leaders understand that it's alright to make mistakes because nobody is perfect. The message starts at one end, but may chage a little every time it is passed from on person to another, eventually the end message is completely different from what was first said.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
Mistakes are what make us who we are. When something fails the first time, it is a learning experience. As kids when we first learn to ride a bike, you fall many times and hurt yourself before learning. You have to get back and keep trying even though it hurts. Being scared to try again just because something failed would be tragic. When you make a bad decision for the company, move forward and make another decision that will have a better outcome. The key here is accepting failure and moving forward.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
Fairbrothers and Gorla both point out a valid suggestion. When you do make a wrong decision, it is important that you examine the wrong decision and truly figure out where you went wrong, so that you can learn from your mistake. If you're consumed by guilt and embarrassment, then you may miss out on an important learning opportunity. It is important to learn from mistakes because it is these mistakes that lead to our success. Barley any one makes it through life without making mistakes, and we learn from these mistakes. We learn what not to do so that we can be successful the next time.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
If you don't know failure, than you don't know how good it is to succeed. Bad decisions can be the building blocks of any great company, and without them, the company would not gain the experience to be successful. As many of these articles mentioned, being able to stand back up after a failure or a bad decision is what makes any leader a great one. Don't let a bad day, week, month, or even year stop you from having a great and successful business.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
Being a leader is very challenging, there is no one always telling you what choices to make, and there is always a trade off. I couldn't agree more when it says to embrace that. And not only to embrace it but to examine it and learn from it. The feeling of regret that you have is a feeling that you most likely will never want to have again and so by finding out why you feel regret and what you could have done differently, you can be more successful in the future.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make
I think this goes back to learning from your mistakes and taking the chances at failing. At some point the decisions you make wont be the right ones but recognizing those mistakes and learning from them will help you from making those mistakes again. Success comes from chances.

Leaders should own up when they make bad decisions. They should also learn from their mistakes. Bad decisions can cost the company but it can also help them. It will allow them to know when to make right and wrong decisions in the future. Bad decisions are also referred to experiments.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Need To Embrace The Bad Decisions That They Make I agree you should embrace your mistakes and try and do whats right to correct them. Every Idea is not always the best so its up to the leader to admit their wrongs and start making things right. Us the mistake as a learning and make sure your next idea is the best you ever had.

INSTANT MBA: Communication Gets Lost Throughout The Chain Of Command
I definitely agree with this article. Communication often gets lost between one person to another, so the more levels of command that it has to go through, the less effective it will be. Having a flat chain of command versus one with many tiers helps eliminate some of the communication break down, but not all of it. No matter what communication seems to always be the biggest problem in a company.
