Marketing and advertising is a companies way to reach out to customers. Just because you do more advertising or spend more money on it doesn't mean its working. I believe in marketing but it only works if you do it right.

Building a relationship with people will help your business grow. Listening to customers and having people come to see the store is the best way to have continuing sales. Advertising done by word of mouth is so much better than any other kind of advertising that can be done.

I agree that it is important to build relationships with your customers. She says that a lot of times that it's not about the amount of marketing, but the kind of marketing. People still want to hear from people and I think that is important. The last few years companies have been shifting away from their big images, and trying to create better relationships with their customers. This started in light of the bail outs and the idea of big corporations cheating their customer base like the Enron scandal. This also ties in with the idea that leaders need to be present in their business and interact with their customers.

Building relationships with customers is immensely important. Having some retail management experience, I got to see this first hand. Repeat customers and referrals are key to driving business to your establishment. Having a customer go out and tell someone that they had a great experience is free marketing for that organization.

Building relationship with your customers will always bring them back to your store 80% of the time. I think this is the most important thing you employee must have to get your sales up. Once you build a relationship, you will always have a customer, and that number will get greater and greater because of word to mouth marketing.

Good customer relationships are imperative in maintaining a profitable company that strives in today's world. Without customers, your company will no longer exist.
