Relationship marketing is key in the marketplace. If you can create a relationship with your client, they will come back to your business. Customers want a personal touch. If they can feel that the business is very personable, then they will come back. This is a good thing to keep in mind when I open a business. It is better to be personable and make people feel happy when they see you and come to your business.

I think this is some of the best advice yet. Sure, the idea of sending flowers and cards may sound expensive, but it’s an investment and hopefully can be written off on taxes. So a $20 bouquet of flowers is probably a small price to pay for the 100’s of dollars that that one customer would probably spend in a year. This was a really good video; great advice.

good video short and sweet. i liked how it was focusing on treating the customer right! i think many companies get too big and they begin to forget the most important thing which is customer satisfaction. all together we need to understand that a businesses number 1 asset is its customers.

I completely agree that with some companies relationship marketing is the best way to maintain customers and get new ones. Especially with small businesses such as hers customers want to feel that connection with the owner and the store. I think that isn't always possible with every company, but whenever it is, it works very well.

Relationships with your customers is so important. I know where I work I have built relationships with all my customers and they continue to come back. My mom who is my boos told me treat everyone who sits in your chair like its always there first time being there, go out out of your way to make them happy because that is what is going to keep sending them back. I don't believe that social media, ads, or other things are good marketing. People are your best marketing tool and I use it and will continue to always use it.

Customers love shopping in business that value them. The customer is always the boss because the customer is the one who signs the paycheck. Any business that isn't customer oriented will soon lose cliental because cliental is what produces growth in a business and if the customer isn't satisfied they will take there business to some one company where they feel valued and appreciated.

I have learned that marketing is about quality versus quantity in many situations. Yes, people are more likely to remember a brand if they see it advertised many times. But, what really makes a brand or company stick out to us is how they cater to our needs and desires. Are you going to buy a car from a nice dressed, polite salesman who is very attentive or a dry, distracted salesman who's company happened to have more commercials air. Customer's need relationships with a company in order to feel secure.

This video shows the other side of social media, that sometimes it's not the best marketing. With a small business like the one on the video, relationship marketing is key. Keeping your current customers through relationship building is much easier and more beneficial than trying to collect new customers. This is where high maintenance customers can become a problem. Also, I think relationship marketing is a great tool for small business owners but when paired with other marketing tools like social media it can be even better. It's important to find the balance.

I agree with this video a lot. After doing my book report on "How to Become a Rainmaker" I have learned even more how important customers are to a business. Without the customer a business is not possible and can not stay alive. The customers money is the rainmaker's rain. Building relationships with customers is one of the most important things for a business to do.

I think for the boutique this is an excellent way to build business. It is very similar to the approach of "Ruby" a store in downtown Hammond. It's this very same style that made it easy to do business and pay for the products. Build value in your clients, they will bring you friends neighbors and random referrals.

I can completely relate to this video. Relationship marketing is sometimes the best kind of marketing for a small business. Specialty stores like this one and others in the same class sometimes completely depend on this type of marketing. In m previous job, the only type of media marketing was radio ads. However, I don't believe customer came to my store because of the ads. I tried to build a relationship with everyone that came in and help give them the best experience possible. During my time there, we began a customer rewards program that we gave customers who came in on a very consistent basis. Doing this increased our traffic and our sales. Creating a relationship and showing customers that they are special is extremely important.

I agree with this video I think that building a relationship with your customers is the best way to keep them coming back and to build your business. People want to feel valued and appreciated as a customer and of you give them that in your store then they will continue to shop with you and tell their friends and family members about your business. I think that as a small business word of mouth is probably the most effective form of marketing because people in small cities talk about the places they love and that attracts new customers.

Customer service is the one of the most important parts of a business. Customer relations can improve a company's reputation. Word of mouth is the best marketing so a company would like people speaking positive of their company rather than 'bad mouthing' them. Having a strong, loyal customer service makes people want to continue doing business with that company.

TITLE - Tim Ferriss, Author of The 4-Hour Workweek | Smarta video interview
A company's most important clients are the loyal ones that return over and over again to purchase products and/or services. Therefore, these are the customers that as a business need to be focused on and this creates the feeling of being valued. There are little ways to do this that really mean a lot to the customer. I like how the video says sometimes better advertising or marketing does not mean spending more. You can advertise better just by being more personable to your clients.
