INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Another 'Me Too' Player
Too much in today's world, people want to do what is popular, instead of taking chances. If all we ever did was follow the what the person before us did, this world would be nowhere. You have to take chances and be innovative in every stage of business. It might not always work but you can't stay stuck in one way all the time. And if you take a chance, there is a possibility of your product or service to be more desirable, because of your creativity.

Instant MBA: Don't Be Another 'Me Too' Player
I think that it is very important for businesses to step out of the norm and be different from others. In today's society there business is changing so quickly that you must be on top of your game and have something different to offer than your competitors. This idea is especially important for older businesses who need to gain an edge to attract more customers, or a new entrepreneur who is looking to break into the market.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Another 'Me Too' Player This article brings up a topic that everyone has heard in some form, which is to separate yourself, have a competitive advantage, or something in that nature. While most of us has heard something like that, it’s hard to actually do it because we see other successful people so we try to follow the steps they took in order to be successful as well. It’s a huge risk inventing a new product or doing something differently because you don’t know what to expect, will you fail or succeed?

Originality is key. Not only does it set you apart from the crowd in other people's eyes, but it also allows your creativity tp flow and you end up above and beyond the rest. If you keep your ideas in just so you can fit in with the crowd, you will never be anything special. Sometimes, you will fail, and nobody will like your ideas, but you hae to keep trying because eventually it will pay off. Just remember to always be yourself.

This article reminds us of originality, thinking for yourself, and taking chance on a concept that no one else has before. Although failure is possible, the rewards of originality can be far greater. The author reminds us to implement this idea throughout the business. Willingness to change and go forward with something new will hopefully keep your business one step ahead of the competition.

Being creative means taking chances however, I think to much creativity can be harmful. Having a nice balance of creativity can bring great innovations and great results.

Alt link 19: INSTANT MBA: Stop Being a Perfectionist And Pay Attention To Customers Paying attention to what your customers have to say about a future product can be some of the most valuable input in the desgin process. You can have a great vision for a product but if the end product is of little to no use to the customer then all your work was for nothing.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Another 'Me Too' Player
Being a team player is must, but working hard and being innovative is what eventually pulls customers in. Standing out is what every business wants - conforming will just make you like eveyone else and you will find that you have no competitive advantage. Customers are the number one priority in the business cycle. If a customer cannot separate you from the competition, how will you ever stay in business?

Be original in everything you do. Don't do what everybody else does, do something different. In your everyday life you should be creative. Do things differently that what you normally do. For example, if your working in a group and everybody takes pictures in color try being different. Take pictures in black and white to make it seem like it’s from a different time era. Express your creativity in your workplace - it might make you successful.

A big problem with the corporate world today is the complete lack of originality. I mean, when was the last time anyone saw a commercial that was truly original? It's so rare that when a unique something comes from the corporate sector, everyone stops and falls head over heels in love and talks about it for weeks or years or whatever. Commercials are just the tip of the iceberg though. Businesses needs originally in the mail room and the board room and the art room and the cubicles just as much as on the tv. Remember that people talk about the movers and shakers, not the "me too" guy.

In the article mentioned above, they talk about the importance in being original. This, I think, is one of the most important ideas to remember when in business. You need to be you and stand out in a way that sets you apart from others, anything that can give you that competitive advantage. As a customer of Dove products, I have always been attracted to the 'non-conformity' type of attitude. Use what will make your product, or yourself, sound like it, or you, are the only option for others. Set yourself apart as best as possible.

Originality and innovation are huge to not only starting a successful company, but also to maintaining an existing one. For example, Dove has been in business many years but they had the presence of mind to step out on a ledge and pitch a new innovative idea that obviously paid dividends. Many companies focus on being copy cats, but the originators are the ones that have something to show for it.

Originality has always stood out and will continue to stand out in businesses. New ideas can be risky because it’s something people aren’t used to but if you don’t take chances then you may miss out on something amazing. People are always looking for the new thing and what if your idea is the next big thing. At the same time I don’t know if I would invest everything unless I knew for sure it would be successful.

It is true that the most successful products are ones that offer something unique. If your product isn't unique, then you must figure out a unique way to present it in order to diversify it from the other products on the market. If you're offering a product that has a lot of competition, you have to come up with a new fresh way to present the product so that it stands out. If you choose to stick to the same old same old song and dance, then chances are your product will not be nearly as successful as it could be. Going out on a limb and presenting a product in a whole new light can be risky, but chances are the fresh outlook could boost sales and get your product noticed.

Businesses needs originally in the mail room and the board room and the art room and the cubicles just as much as on the tv.This article mentions an important quality that would help any firm survive: creativity.Creating a product that no other company has, servicing your customers in ways no other company does, and even advertising in a way no other company advertises would definitely give your company a tremendous competitive advantage.
