INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Another 'Me Too' Player
Be different is difficult and that is why many people do not strive for it. But also this is why if you do work hard to differentiate yourself, it is easy to stand out. Companies are now looking for more leaders than followers because they want people to take ownership in their jobs. Creativity is also sometimes put in a box and only used with product innovation, when it should be used in all areas of the business. One of my favorite quotes is, "if everyone is thinking the same, then no one is thinking." That sums up how someone must constantly be innovating and improving.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Another 'Me Too' Player This article makes great points about standing out and trying to be different. The writer uses companies and different brands as examples, but this can be applied in everyday life as well. If you are trying to stand out or make a difference on a team, you must be able to bring something creative, or unique to the table. I think this is much easier said than done. There is so much that has already been done/created that you must really bring a sense of uniqueness to the table.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Another 'Me Too' Player
I think this is very important to any company. Originality wins demand in todays fast paced, ever changing market. Having a different approach to even a small thing can mean all the difference. I like the approach taken by the clothing company in the article that chooses to use real models as opposed to photoshopped pictures for advertising. This was a good article.

INSTANT MBA: Don’t Be Another ‘Me Too’ Player
In this article, Josh Linkner, author, venture capitalist, and entrepreneur, talks about the evolution of your own ideas instead of using cookie cutter ideas that have been done before. Linkner explains that creativity is very important for product innovation but he says to start applying to every aspect of your business. If your advertisements stand out among other companies, then your business is going to stand out and so are your products.
