It's very important that everyone is on the some page. If everyone is on the same page, everything will go as planned. you don't want people to be off. that will slow the business down.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
The title of this piece does not make sense to me. I do not see the strong connection between the article information and the title. Anyway, I assume it means that a smaller company can communicate overall core values and missions through emails, whereas, as larger company cannot communicate those messages effectively though email. In correcting this trend they are having more face to face meetings. I have always been a face to face communicator. I feel it is so much more effective because body language speaks volumes – which is absent in communicating via technological means.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Although emails in general are a good way of keeping everyone informed on what tasks they need to be doing, it is better for the employees to hear directly from you what your goals and objectives are for projects. Group meetings also give the employees a chance to give you feedback on what they have been working on and whether or not they have been having problems with their part of the project.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Emails had and still does have a huge impact on businesses due to the fact it is a fast quick and easy way to communicate to each and every employee and one time. but for a more larger business it is important for everyone to be on the same page and to understand the mission and vision of the company to and realize when and where all important meetings will be held and who is giving it.

Communication is key. Whether you have 5 employees or 50, everyone must be on the same page. Understandably, it is harder to be on the same page with 50 people rather that 5 so, it is important to have a process in which you communicate as a whole. As the article mentions, having weekly, monthly, or even daily meetings can help bring everyone up to speed and keep everyone on the same page.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done I absolutely hate those reply all emails. I know that once a company becomes a certain size that personalized emails are rare. Also, the reply all emails actually does not get the job done because most employees just ignore them.

"'Reply-all emails won't get the job done"
All things in business and relationships require a lot of communication. Since we live in the digital age, it seems easy just to send out an email with announcements about changes in policy, new deadlines, new clients, etc.. This really isn't the way to go about it. A lot can be lost in translation, and you can't really emphasize the importance of some things. Being able to have a meeting face-to-face is a great way to actually and personally communicate, and not just a once in a while meeting but frequent meetings. Rubin makes a lot of sense with the quote "communicating your core messages clearly (and often!) is the key to keeping everyone on track."

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
As a company or group grows, it becomes more important that everyone apart of it is on the same page. In order to increase the cohesiveness and like mindedness within the group, there should meetings involving everyone which occur often. Frequent discussions about where the company is headed and planning is the best way to keep everyone together and by doing so, the company will benefit.

Instant MBA: ‘Reply-All’ Emails Won’t Get The Job Done
Reply-all emails can be very misleading to some individuals as well as somewhat off putting to employees. While it is easier to send these emails, your employees may feel that it may be very distant and they may not feel any sense of responsibility for what was said in the email and therefore not take any initiative in doing any work assigned. There can also be some confusion if the manager is not clear on assigning duties to different people and something could go overlooked.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Employees in a company with a few people versus many people typically have more of a close relationship because of the time spent near each other. It would take exponentially more time to spend with each person in a company of 20 versus a company of 5 to have the same relationship. When a company only has a few people decisions and goals can be made faster because of the closer relationships and less people to have opposing views on one topic. As the company grows more time has to be put into the culture in order to maintain it. This is why time must be set aside to have formal meetings of visions and goals as the company grows larger.

The article states that it's important to have face to face contact with employees on a regular basis especially when a business has expanded. I think in this day and time it's so easy and convenient to send a reply all email but, it's a necessity to communicate on a more personal level so that everyone is on one accord. What one person is able to read and interpret may be completely different to another person's perception. In order to keep organizations flowing smoothly when a business has expanded, the more the company grows, the more often meetings should be held to have a clear understanding of the needs of the business. This occurs not only in the corporate world but, in education settings as well. When a professor assigns a group project, the roles and responsibilities per person gets lost. Everyone has their own lives and communication suffers because no one is able to meet, someone doesn't check their email, someone doesn't carry their weight, and/or everything becomes pushed off until the last minute.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Like I said in the previous article, communication is key in any workplace. Face-to-face meetings are much more beneficial to both the employee and the leader. This provides an atmosphere of give and take with no delay in communication. Emails are sometimes deleted, not taken seriously, or not opened right away and this is detrimental to the communication process.

'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
I agree with this 100% ! I was working with a group via internet and it really made things a lot more challenging. I feel that having frequent meetings in person does enhance performance and makes it feel suitable. A lot more can be accomplished and communicated. E-mails, in my opinion, is easier but the consequence is great. In some occasions, emailing is the only option, but if there is a way to avoid it, I personally would.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
I agree entirely with this article and I avoid using email like the plague. I understand the necessity of email and that it must be used at times, but honestly I have probably 30,000 emails in a junk folder that I have accumulated from jobs in the past that I never read and never will read. Email is far too impersonal and doesn't get information across to the person as well as verbal communication.

INSTANT MBA: Reply-All Emails Won't Get The Job Done
I really and truly believe that the best way of communicating is face to face. There is so much technology these day that no one knows how to communicate in person anymore because they are constantly hidden behind a computer or a phone. I feel that messages can be taken in the wrong content sometimes because you can't tell what tone the other is using at the time. I believe for a company the healthiest thing is to have face to face meetings with your employees at least once a month. I understand that sometimes it's easier to do majority of the discussions through our other means of communication, but businesses need to make it a point to meet at least once a month.
