Emailing is great business tool if used the right way. Simply sending the same message to all of the incoming messages, is not how emailing is supposed to work. Your customers want to feel needed and wanted. Sending a personal messaged will allow them to love your company.

It’s important that a business, especially one that’s growing so fast, to remain organized. You need to keep everyone on track and make sure that they all have a common goal. A way to achieve this is to communicate frequently with your employees or coworkers and you can do that by holding meeting and talking with people often. Communication is key in a business.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Realistically once you have a more than three people it is hard to come to a decision. So when the company switch from having email sent to having meetings for making the decisions I think they made a really good choice. This gives everyone a chance to get out their ideas and point so that everyone can hear them and feel with their saying.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Rubin's article states the basic principle that communication is so important in business. In any relationship, communication is the key to making it and keeping it successful. Most couples have learned that if there is a problem with the communication in their relationship, then that relationship is doomed. Couples are encouraged to open the lines of communication with each other. Parents are encouraged to maintain communication with their children as they approach their teen years. Teachers are encouraged to communicate with the parents of their students to maintain good parent/teacher relationships, and therefore, employers and employees should continuously be encouraged to maintain the lines of communication amongst each other if they are to hope for making a success of their business. As a previous article discussed, it's so important to give your employees the opportunity to voice their opinions and present some of their ideas. This, in a nut shell, is communication.

I think this is very important especially for businesses that are just starting to get big. There needs to be sense of organization when it comes to communicating with all parties. I think daily/weekly meeting are definitly necessary especially in the crucial beginning stages of a company. The only way to effectively spread the word is to communicate precisely what the goals are and how/when you want them achieved. This is all better communicated in person rather than by relaying all decisions through e-mails. As companies grow it is important to make sure that your managers are doing their job in communicating with all employees.

Instant MBA: 'Reply All' Messages Won't get The Job Done
It is important in an organization to have physical communication. Emailing can save on time, but doing it all the time can cripple a business. Employees feel more important when they are being approached face to face and can help the company grow faster. This can help also when talking to customers so customer service can be at its best.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Have you ever heard someone say, "did you get the email?" and the reply be "No, I havent checked it." or "No, I saw it, but didnt get around to reading it". It happens quite often. Once an organization reaches more than ten people, they need to make sure everyone is on the same page and understands the objectives of the organization. Sometimes emails just dont cut it. Having regular, routine meetings are necessary to make sure that the company as a whole knows what the goals, missions, decisions, and priorities are. This allows everyone to be able to "keep on track", even if your job isnt the same as the person next to you.

Communication is so important. As a large business, it may be necessary to hold meetings on a weekly or monthly basis to make sure everyone is on track. The title of this article also made me think of why generic, "Reply All" emails will not work for a larger company. Many times I find myself not paying attention to a mass email sent out due to the fact that I think someone else is going to reply to it or handle the situation. The reason for this is because it is not necessarily directed at just me. Holding physical meetings can cut this bad habit out of the workplace.

Whenever your company grows your plan should grow and adjust accordingly. Becoming to large to fast can be bad for some small companies if they are not prepared. Having goals and working towards these goals can be great for your small business. I agree with the article you must always keep your message clear and keep everyone on board. This will help with your growth and your employees don't have to play the guessing game on where the company is going.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
You have to be willing to work hard to get the job done. Replying to emails will not do much for you. You have to be willing to work hard and put in the time. It takes hard work and determination to be successful. I believe you get what you put into it. Be the best at what you do and you will succeed.

Slava Rubin says that she really come to believe that communicating your core messages clearly and often is the key to keeping everyone on track. I agree because you will let the employees know how important it is. Sometimes it may become annoying hearing the same thing over and over as a employee, but if it gets the job done, keep doing it.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Putting a whole company in sync with the organization goal and value is not an easy task. Just an email from the top management won't help to keep everyone focused on the company goal. Especially when you have too many employees in the company. You should be able to send a clear message to your employees and make sure your core idea doesn't get lost in the process. Hence, it is important for manager of every level to have a good communication with all the employees under them.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Communication is so important for any and every business. Even though emails can be a good way to communicate, sometimes it is not the best form of communication. Sometimes it is better and easier to get your point across to their employees. Emails can come across wrong and can even build up in your inbox. Sometimes employees just do not need another email. By meeting in person, you can clean things up even faster and can get your point across easier. Also, it helps to be more personal with your employees and not seem so distant all of the time by only sending emails to communicate.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
This was a great article. In just about anything you do, communication is key. In business, communication is crucial. A manager must communicate what needs to be done and in what manner they plan to get things done. It is very important to host meetings as much as possible. However, meetings should only be held when there is actually something to discuss. If a meeting is held a few times and week and things haven't changed much in the company, then it would be pointless to waste time in a meeting that could be spent doing work for the business. Meetings are a great communication device, but they should always have a purpose or need.

Rubin's company is a good example of how a company should properly be ran. A strong foundation based on communication is what has helped them expand into something greater than what they previously were. Scheduling frequent meetings to convey messages and the company's goals puts everyone on the same page which in turn allows everyone to work in harmony. Any successful business owner will have blueprints similar to his to be fruitful.
