INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
For a company to be successful, every employee needs to be on the same page. In other words, an organization has to clearly state its goals and mission, so employees understand in what direction the firm is going and there can be consistency in the operation no matter how many employees the company has. Also, a business should have a communication policy to keep both employees and managers informed about relevant decisions or other important matters. I believe emails might be a good means of communicating information; however, direct communication, such as personal meetings or calls conference, could be better ways to discuss plans, make decisions, or resolve issues.

Instant MBA: Reply-All E-mails Won’t Get the Job Done This article was very informative. I believe that in order for a company to be successful, everyone should be on the same page. Sending e-mails are fine, but I’ve always felt like direct communication was the best way to convey what the goals are clearly. Even conference calls aren’t always the best route to take, because the message that is being relayed may not be received in the same manner. I feel like for the company’s sake, the best communication is direct communication. That way there are no misunderstandings and everyone can be very open to voice their opinions as well as listen to other people’s point-of-view.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
I agree with this article 100%. Anyone can send out a mass email and expect everyone to read it, but if you want to make sure that the message you are sending is clearly delivered and understood that message should be delivered to your recipients in person. Communicating face to face with your employees is way more effective than sending out an email, especially if you have a large number of employees. It would make much more sense to set up daily, weekly, or monthly meetings with your employees to make sure everyone is on the same page. If questions are asked they can be answered and addressed directly. This article was a great read.

Instant MBA: Don't Hire People Who Are Afraid To Fail
The best workers are those who failed. It's gives you the opportunity to learn and grow as a person. You want to hire people who are not afraid to try new opportunities. This gives then courage to expand and learn, the more you try the more likely you are to succeed. This is the kind of person you want working on your team. It's fine when you fail, it provides opportunity to improve and grow with each failure. Take what you learn and move on. Don't be afraid to admit failure, it will be these failures that make you a great employee.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
I agree with the article in that you can't just expect everything to get done with one email to everyone. You need to send out specific emails to your managers to get the tasks done right. Although sometimes when you want the whole team to know some objectives that's fine, just keep specific objectives to the managers and their departments.

Alt link 75: Instant MBA: Don't Hire People Who Are Afraid To Fail Failure can be a good thing, through failures you learn from mistakes and after time has pasted be better off because of it. You can't be afraid to fail. Some people see failure as weakness and if things don't go prefectly the first time then everyrthing is wrong. This is not the actual case. Some of the most successful people have started of by failing multiple times, ansd then went on to be great. If you are afirad of failure then you are afraid of learning.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Reply all emails do not work. Nobody responds to reply all emails because they are viewed as either spam, or an indirect message with little meaning to the receiver. The best way to communicate a message to your employees is through constant personal updates. This is why we have managers, so every employee understands exactly what they do. If a manager is assigned to communicate the company message to the employees under them, a reply all email will be useless. Physically walking up to those individuals and showing them rather than telling them shows a much better outcome.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
I don't think sending reply all emails is a good idea no matter how big or small your business is. People get a better and more clear message of what needs to be done when they can actually hear the things that the managers want done. Sending emails is still a good way to communicate with employees but it needs to be more personal. The message needs to be geared toward the person you're sending it to; not everyone will respond well to a reply all message.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Being organized and on the same page is very important in running a business. Once you hit a certain size as a business, you won't be able to just make decisions whenever and call meetings when you feel like it. There has to be set meetings and set times where decisions will be made. You won't be able to 'just wing it' when your business hits a certain size.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Nice article. I think that sometimes emails and/or personal messages can get lost in translation. For instance, you may have written a joke or light-hearted story in an email to make the recipient laugh, but they took it as an insult. On the other hand, if you would have the same job to that person face-to-face, there wouldn’t have been any miscommunication. So, while emails can certainly speed communication up, it definitely has some downfalls.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
Weekly and/or monthly meetings help a business run smoothly. The extra hour or two that you are paying in labor will reap benefits for your business. Meetings tell people what is expected of them. When people know what is expected, they see a goal in the future. They know the expectations that they need to be at. E-mails are outdated.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done I agree with this article and the fact that emails won't always work in a business. Using emails for a small group may work but for a large group using a reply all system can create a confusing workplace because each individual may get a different meaning from the email. On top of that, if an employee has a question he or she may be hesitant to ask because they don't want to bother you or make it seem as if they don't understand the email. This is why it's best to have constant meeting with the employees to make sure everyone is on the right page and to be able to answer any questions.

INSTANT MBA: 'Reply-All' Emails Won't Get The Job Done
It does seem like communication in a fast growing business would be the hardest thing to do. In a company of three or four, a simple email will do nicely. But, as more and more people get involved, there are usually more and more jobs to be done. So, as everything grows, the communication problems grow too. More and more people have more and more things to do, so they have more and more questions and more and more issues to resolve. Emails wo everyone no longer work, but you also have less time to communicate with people. Its a big conundrum, and a dificult one to handle. Finding a balance between the communication and the actual jobs to be done, and you'll be good.

Communication is the key to having a successful business. I think all forms of communication is important but face to face meeting are crucial. This meeting give a chance for employees and leaders to discuss important business related matters. This is also a way for leaders to read their body language as well. A group meeting with employees can also give a chance for there to be democratic voting on important issues that impact the company. To be a great leader and have a successful company, communication is key not only face to face but social communication as well.
