INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections'
It's inevitable, no one is perfect and we are all going to make mistakes, whether it is in our personal life or at our job. I have always believed in the quote, "Live and Learn". A person must reflect back on the situation and learn a lesson about how you can do it better. Just because something doesn't turnout the way you would have hoped for doesn't mean to stop trying. Figure out your weaknesses and work harder next time to make your dreams come true, like Michael Jordan.

INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections'
While Mark Cuban gives a great, inspirational message that 'working hard and never giving up' will lead to success, this is not always the case. Michael Jordan may have climbed from the J.V. team to the NBA, but not everyone is given this opportunity. Unfortunately, sometimes landing your first job or securing a place on the varsity team is all about 'who you know'. I have always been a believer in learning everything about everything at work. In fact, I am the person at work most people come to when they have a question; they call me the 'wise, old owl'. However, I am well aware that my know-how won't help me move up the ladder as well as building relationships with those higher up than I.

Often times our failures are what makes us humble and what motivate us to push forward, try harder the next time, and be a success at it. I have so much more respect for a person who may be in a position at a job by trying their hardest to get their, rather than it just being handed to them because of having the appropriate "connections." Honestly, I do not believe it is fair for any business to hire someone or give a person a higher position simply because of "who they know." Sometimes, I believe it hurts the business being that sometimes that person takes advantage of "knowing someone" in the company and slacks off at the job. Now, I am not saying this for every case, however, I have seen it happen many times through my own experiences. Whereas, someone who puts in the effort, fails and still gets up and works their hardest, will more likely help the company grow in the long run. Unfortunately, I think a lot of businesses today hire more people who know someone in the company over someone else.

Instant MBA: Mark Cuban Says ‘It’s Not About Money or Connections’ I think that having connections can point you in the direction that you want to go, but it can’t always prove to be successful. A person cannot rely on connections to get them somewhere in life. People have to make a name for them and gain knowledge on what they want to do with their lives. Money can’t buy everything. Money can’t buy someone a personality or good work ethic. They have to work hard and gain experience. They should try new things and if they fail don’t give up.

"It doesn't matter how many times you fail. You only have to be right once and then everyone can tell you that you are an overnight success." As many times as you try and fail it is important to keep up the hard work. If you just walk away the first time you fail, you never get anywhere except nowhere. As someone who is constantly trying to achieve a new goal- either in life or in my work towards my business I never give up. I may walk away and say let me look at this in a different way. No matter what I always go back and try something new to get the result I want. Mark Cuban explains this so well in this article. His success was not just overnight, it looks as though it was but he put in a lot of time, effort, and some failures to achieve the status he has today. If you wish to make the most of yourself in life you need to work as hard as you can and as many attempts as it takes. One day you will make it to the top where you want to be!

Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections'
It's by our hardest hits and falls that we rise. I, among with many others, have learned the hard way and failed. Out my my failures, I've looked back and I've improved my weaknesses. There are so many famous inventors that have had trial after trial to finally have a finishing product. That finishing product could be a talent or something tangible such as a phone. Some may get it right the first time around, but we shouldn't compare our experiences to their experiences. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't afraid of failure, but I am. However, I will accept it and improve any faults I may have missed. At the end of the day what is important is that I understand that I can and will try again to succeed. It does not matter how many times we fall as long as we know how to get back on our feet; it is how we learn best in my opinion.

INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections'
Mark Cuban states a good point in this article, "its not about money or connections, its the willingness to outwork and outlearn everyone." I agree with this statement because you have to do what the greats have done in order to be great. Micheal Jordan ran laps at practice and wanted to outwork with his teammates to prove to himself and the team that he could play on his high school basketball team and he will do whatever it takes to get there. It really doesn't matter how much you fail its the willingness to give it forth more effort then anyone else.

INSIDE MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money or Connections'
Failure is something that everyone fears on a daily basis. When owning a business though, you have to let failure come and go and just learn from it. If you let failure bring you down in business then you will end up completely failing without ever really succeeding. Everyone fails, and it is nothing to be ashamed of. One thing I've learned is that you can't please everyone. I tried, and it will truly make you feel like a failure constantly. When dancers would quit because of a decision that I would make, I found myself always questioning myself and wondering what did I do wrong. You eventually learn that you can't worry about failing. You have to focus on just knowing that you are always going to try and make the best decisions for your company. Success is about trusting yourself even when something goes wrong.

INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections' This article is a very inspirational one. It gives a very clear idea that whoever is striving for success,it is natural to fail in the beginning. Do not be disheartened and give up just because you failed in the beginning. It is from the failures that you learn so much. There are several examples of the most successful person who failed in the first few attempts. The idea is to learn from the failures and keep moving ahead.

INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections'
When it comes down to a hard working person that is good at their job and a person that just knows people the hard worker will win majority of the time. In this link it talks about how a hard worker can go along way. If you happen to know somebody that gets you the job that should not stop you from doing hard work, if anything you should work harder to show that person that they have made the correct choice. Failure is the enemy of many people, but you can use that as a tool to motivate you to do better and if you never give up and eventually everything will pay off. My mother works with a lot of different people and got me a job over the summer I took that as a opportunity to show the people that i work with that I am a valuable person to have on the team. They now want me back every summer when I am out from school and maybe hire me when I graduate. This is so because they they know that I am a hard worker not just because they just know me.

It is definitely true that you always have to make an effort to show your determination. The most important thing to teach with that saying though, is that there are going to be many times where nobody can see it or cares to see it. There will definitely be times where you put your best foot forward and still get knocked down like MJ. You will not always get what you want because you tried your best, but you will have the opportunity to keep trying and eventually the work will pay off.

INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections' I agree partially with the article, you don't want to think about the business world being all about that but in a way it is most of the time when it comes down to that person succeeding or failing it comes down to who you know and how much money you or your family has. But i agree with Mark if that is the road block(money or connections) that you are face with you wiliness to outwork everyone and out learn everyone in your field will be your determining factor.

Instant MBA: Mark Cuban Says ‘It’s not about money or connections’
The ability to outwork others in a time of adversity is critical to setting yourself apart. Its not always about who you know or what you have in the bank. Michael Jordan knew one thing, If he wanted to be the best, he had to make himself the best. His superb talent was not the only thing that earned him championships or MVPs, it was his work ethic. He was once told no that he was not good enough, so he made himself good enough.

INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections'
This link talks about outwork and outlearning the people around you to be successful. I agree that the harder you work the more you will receive. They talk about Michael Jordan and how he had a supreme work ethic. To me this is true if you can outwork the people around you then you will most likely be more successful then they are. So work hard and play hard and keep your eye on the prize.

INSTANT MBA: Mark Cuban Says 'It's Not About Money Or Connections'
Cuban's point is that no matter how many times you fail, you are learning things to avoid in the future. So failing sort of puts you ahead of the others. Learning to not be afraid of failure and to accept it as a learning experience is key to actually being successful. Failure should make you want to succeed even more than before. The MJ example was one of many prime examples. I could not agree more with what Cuban is saying to the readers. I have both given up after failure and pressed forward after failure. Each time I have used the knowledge gained through failure, I was able to succeed. Looking forward, I will do my best to never be afraid of failing. I will definitely share this information with others as well so that more people can be successful simply because they have the potential to be.
