As a manager, humbleness will take you a long way. Being humble and relatable will make it easier for employees to feel like they can approach a manager to ask questions or bring up an issue. A manager who thinks he know everything and has all the answers and is constantly putting down ideas of others will make employees feel like their opinion doesn't matter. A manager should be able to go to employees and ask questions and for their opinions, listen, and give them feedback for their input, making them feel like an asset.

This link talks about humility. Personally, i tend to be a prideful person so it’s important for me to remember to stay humble. The reason why it’s important to stay humble is because there is something to learn from everyone. We need to constantly remember this and not let our ego get in the way of us.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
Being a boss it is important but it often happens when you are interviewing someone and they are so good that you may worry that they may can do your job better then you can do it yourself and that makes some bosses skeptical to hire someone like that. If they are more concerned with the organization they should hire the most qualified person and teach them and allow them to look up to them for future references. Also it is important to network with people.

Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
This is a valuable thing to understand in the business world and in our daily lives. As the article says, it truly is impossible to know everything. I agree that it is good to have people around you to learn from. Being humble is such a great trait to have, it is not good to be prideful because that is a path full of mistakes when it can be avoided. Love, love, love this article. Such a great lesson for leaders and people in general to know and understand.

Humbling one's self is a vital key in growing personally, spiritually, and professionally. One should listen more than they speak. I know I don't know everything so, it would be in my best interest to find others who have adequate knowledge in areas in which I'm weak. Being that I'm surrounded by nurses, day in and day out, they always attempt to over talk you as if you don't know anything because you're young and don't have the same experience. Wisdom and knowledge doesn't necessarily comes with age. Hear what they have to say and form your own opinion and conduct your own research.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside and Realize You Don't Know Everything
Sometimes leaders get ahead of themselves and think they know all the things their is to know. The bad thing is that this is one trait that most leaders have because it just fits into their personality. But the best leaders are the ones that put their own thoughts aside for a while and starts to listen to the opinions of all of the other smart employees that were hired to help build this company. Leaders sometimes try and do everything on their own, but by doing this sometimes they aren't able to see the whole picture. It is sometimes best for a leader to step back and let another employee tell them what is going on so they can see things in a different perspective.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
When you are running a business it is very important to remain humble. It is not humanly possible for one person to know everything. I think that once you enter the workplace that you need to leave the ego at the door.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
This article is one of my favorites so far. It has had the most meaning to me that any other. I couldn't agree more on just how important it is to stay humble. There is no possible way for someone to know everything in the world. Although you may be an expert at one thing, there is always someone who is better or knows more than you do. Instead of being threatened by this, you should use it to your advantage. It is important to surround yourself with people that you can learn from. Have these individuals that know more than you do, teach you their ways. This can only benefit you in the long run.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
I agree, it is important to learn as much as you can from the people around you. I try to make sure that I am around people that I would like to be like or learn from because negative influences are easily picked up from others too. I wanted to learn how to be a good manager so I worked for people that I recognized as good managers and learned how to treat my employees and run a business from them.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
I think when people are in a position of power or have been successful in the past, they tend to build big egos. There is a difference between being confident with yourself and being cocky. I think managers should try to put their egos aside and allow others to incorporate their ideas and make contributions. It is impossible for one person to know everything about a business so it is important to be humble about your achievements and always strive to better yourself as a manager, business owner, and co-worker.

68 INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
A lot of people have a huge ego and don’t want to ask for help with anything. Everyone needs help sometimes, with one thing or another. I would rather ask for help and get what I need to get done accomplished, instead of saying I know what I’m doing when I clearly don’t. Just bite the bullet, put the ego aside and ask for help.
