Never let your ego get in the way of good advice! It's important to stay humble, like the article says, and take in good advice when you can. You can learn something from everyone. It is a good thing to be able to see things from a different point of view, and in order to do so, you have to learn that you do not know the answers to everything.

"Put your ego aside and realize that you don't know everything"
No one will know everything about anything. The best example I can think of is with the managers at my work. They don't have to do the "grunt" work that me and my fellow employees have to do on a daily basis. The managers then try to critique us and give suggestions on how to do things. I understand they want to help, but since they don't do that work everyday so they have no idea how to really give us good suggestions. Most of the times, the managers make our jobs harder with so-called "improvements," and when we call them out on it, they get offended. Managers don't always know best. They may have done the work before, but they get disconnected when they haven't done it for so long.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
Leaders need to recognize that they too can still learn and take away certain things from others. While their knowledge and drive is probably the reason that they are in the position that they hold, it is imperative to come to terms that they might not know everything. Developing a constant learning personality can be very beneficial.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
I partly agree with what Lipovetsky says. ALthough, I completely agree with putting ego aside and starting to realize the no one can know everything, I do not agree that one needs to be surrounded by successful people to know more. Putting ones ego aside is probably an impossible job to do, but one can always work to make himself/herself better at it. By doing so, one will start giving respect to what others have to say and will, of course, be a better listener and an analyzer. If one is a good listener and analyzer, then he/she will surely learn more from successful people, unsuccessful people, partly successful people or any classification of people. The idea is to be modest and being modest will always help in social life. However, this should not, at any cost, be confused with being underconfident.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
No one knows everything you have to sometimes ask for help. You can not be too egotistical you have to take advice and opinions from people sometimes. It is not the worse thing in the world to get help or be taught something new. I think it is smart to get help and be educated by other people. If you listen to other people you could learn something new or get a new idea to propel your business.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
Though it may diffifcult, we should understand that we do not know everything. Instead, we should hire the smartest people around us who know certain things better than we do so that as a group, your team knows most things. If a leader fails to this and insteads allows their ego to get the better of them, their company will surely suffer. Any one person is not the majority reason for success, but rather the team as a whole. To obtain the most from people, you should stay in contact with those who know most about different things.

Gary Lipovetsky said that learned that it's important to be humble. It's not possible for one person to know everything. I 100% agree with Gary Lipovetsky on this quote. If you humble yourself and stop being "big headed," you will be able to go far in life. He also said no one is perfect and no one is perfect. Being a humble can benefit yourself and the people around you.

I fell in love with this article right after reading the title. Putting your ego aside and coming to the realization that you are not a know-it-all is so important. I really like this statement, "I've learned that it's important to be humble. It's not possible for one person to know everything." Being humble will get you far in life. Managers need to hire very intelligent people and to be willing to listen to them. Letting your ego get in the way of leveraging your team's talents will only hurt your business.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
No one can know everything and allot of what we learned is from other people. Yes we should all practice humility. One who thinks they are wise is only a fool. There will always be a smarter person or more athletic person. This is why we should leverage relationships and soak others for all the useful information we can get. Networking for a one sided reason such as future business is not as beneficial as gaining knowledge and trust while keeping future business as a possibility.

Having sells skills are every important. Think about it. If someone comes up with a great idea, but couldn’t tell you how it will generate money and profits, how will they get investors? You can’t just be able to come up with ideas. You need to know how to sell them too. You have to make people interested in wanting to be a part of your project.

being humble is a rear trait. It’s impossible for someone to know everything. You have to know when you’re wrong. You need to know when to take time out to listen to others. There is no I in team.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
Lipovetsky says about having a large network of people, “try to take something away from them.” Couldn’t that be considered theft? HA! That is funny the way it is worded, but it still is true. But I’m not sure how someone else could think they know everything when I am the one who knows it all. HA! Ok – so seriously. Learning from others can make you a better person and your business and team members will be much better off because of it. Besides, attempting to know everything put a lot of pressure on someone. I am glad to know that I do not need to remember and know everything. Having others around to depend on is like having a huge storage warehouse for all of your stuff…. There when you need it but you do not need to keep it around you all the time…. You just might have to dig a little to find it.

It's important to surround yourself with people whom have different ideas but also just smart as you are or even smarter. When managers hire employees they should look for people who can bring fresh new ideas to the table. Great employees don't just work hard but they also teach managers how to do their job even better. It's great when your employees know how to take the initiative to do the job without management saying do this.

Being humble can be hard. Not everyone in life is sweet and caring and thinks that they need everyone's help to make it through the day. Some people think that they know everything there is to know, and that's it. However, if you are a manager, not being humble could hurt you in two ways. For one, it will make your employees think less of you, and in turn not want to work as hard for you. And for two, it can make customers kind of reluctant to use your business for what they need.

INSTANT MBA: Put Your Ego Aside And Realize That You Don't Know Everything
No one knows everything that there is to know. It is better to be a person that knows a lot about one thing than a person that knows a little about everything. You should surround yourself with people who are knowledgeable about things that you don't know a lot about and learn from these people. You should even do this with the subjects that you know a lot about because you never know who can teach you something.
