INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
A good business manager does not spend all his time on one area of the company. You have to be able to multitask and split your time between all areas of the company to make sure that everything and everyone is running and doing their jobs efficiently and effectively. Neglecting certain areas of the business and only focusing on certain areas will cause those neglected areas to fail and that might bring the whole business down if they are allowed to be neglected for a long period of time.

Employees are the ones who help keep the company running on a day to day basis. Customers are the ones buying the product and putting profit into the company but, without the employees, there would be no product especially in a company like Starbucks mentioned in the article. Managers should focus on hiring employees that are suitable for the job and have the skill set and drive to be able to be successful for the company.

It's one of the most prevalent rules that the customer is always right and first. If you hire the right people and conduct the strategies beforehand, the probability of a customer complaint is reduced. I've never had a bad experience with a customer that it jeopardized what I was trying to works toward. There's more to business than just the customer.

Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
I somewhat agree with this. Employees for sure should come before the customers because they are what brings the customers. Having the right employees and focusing on them is essential for any business. Yes, customers are important to keep the business running, but they don't require all of the time. Businesses should be sure have their values in order. Employees, in my opinion, should come first.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
There is a delicate balance between focusing on the internal aspects of the business and also focusing on the external. This article talks about focusing more on the internal basics that really drive the business. When you focus on the back end and the processes, you effectively still are focusing on the customer by producing a good product. You can not sacrifice interaction with the customer too much though, you have to be able to balance both.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Customers
Most of the time when studying management you are told that it is all about pleasing the customers. Which is majority of the ways it is, but you can't lose sight of your original business in order to please all customers. Sometimes you have to step back from worrying about the customers so much, and start doing what you think is best for the company. Then once you figure out the things that are best for the company they must then intern some great qualities for the customers.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
I do not agree with the author with saying that people need to stop spending too much time on their customers. I do agree that "more than enough of the time sometimes is focused on the customer and not the more important parts of the business."

Do not get me wrong, it is important to constantly be thinking about the customers. However, it is also just as important to constantly think about ways to have the business grow. While things are ever changing in the world, companies must remember to stay ahead of the change. If they get too far behind, they may never be able to catch back up. INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
I agree to some extent that you can't spend all of your time focusing on your customers but if you do things correctly all of your decisions should be focused on your customers in some way. Focusing on your employees happiness directly impacts customer relations. Every business decision ultimately affects your customers and it should be kept in mind when making business decisions.

63 INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Customers
Everyone has heard the phrase, “the customer is always right”. However if all you are doing is trying to please the customer you may end up neglecting your employees. For example, say you have an upset customer. The employee did nothing wrong, the customer is just going crazy for no reason. If you always take the customers side and don’t believe your own employee, that may cause problems with the culture of the company.
