INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
Even though customers bring revenues and companies need them to survive, employees are the most important asset of every business. An entrepreneur has to hire the most appropriate talent to build the organization. Also, managers need to nurture the skills of current employees, so they grow up personally and professionally within the company. For a firm to experience growth, employees and managers need to grow up along with it. In other words, employees are essential for the proper operation of the business, so the top managers should invest in training and keeping employees motivated.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
Employees are definitely a very important asset of a business. As I have mentioned before, if your employees are unhappy your customers will be unhappy! And of course in order to stay in business customers are needed. Managers must make sure that the employees that are hired are well qualified for the positions that they hold. It is also very important to have employees that fit within your company's culture and have no problems embracing it. Once managers have hired the right employees it is very important to keep those employees motivated and armed them with the resources they will need to implement changes, as stated in the article. More time should be invested in your employees so that when it comes to your customers they are well taken care of.

Instant MBA: Stop spending all your time on Your Customers
QUALIFIED employees are unquestionably the MOST important asset of a business. I understand that most businesses believe that customers are the most important aspect of a business, but is this really true? Most businesses believe this theory while I on the other hand challenge it. I feel like there is equality between the customers and the behind-scenes operations. It is true that customers contribute to a lot; profits being number one. But without the employees, vendors, CEOs, COOs, etc, customers wouldn’t be able to make those profits skyrocket because there wouldn’t be a business. I feel like customers are given too much credit from businesses and businesses do not give enough credit to their behind-the-scene workers that are keeping the business going.

I believe that in the retail company I work for, customer service is up really high. We do need to worry about the customers well-being and by doing so, steps must be taken so that the customer has the best visit to the store. We care very much what the customer thinks, so we have to recover the store every day so they have a clean place to shop. You will have customers that will not care about the well-being of the store, so it is best kept clean as will some of the customers when they come to visit. When a floor associate is working with a customer too long, he will have to back up the work for another associate later in the day.

Alt link 63: INSTANT MBA: Everyone Needs To Take A Break
Workaholics seem like a good thing, an employee that is constantly doing something and working on things. However, Overworking yourself can lead to mistakes and problems down the line. Hospitals do not let doctors over work themselves because if a doctor makes a mistake someone could be harmed. Many companies make breaks manditory, due to worker's rights laws. Often a store will require that employee breaks have a minimum amount of time, they don't care if you take longer than you are supposed to, but never take shorter then you have too.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
If you focus on the customers all the time, you start to lose sight of your business. You must put effort into growing your business from every aspect. By looking at what happens behind the scenes of your business, you can see what needs to be done and who needs to be hired to help your business grow. If you just let your business run the same way it always has, you will continue to get the same results.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
Allowing your company to grow does not start with the customers. It starts with the employees that you already have and the ones that you plan to hire. Teaching the employees and allowing them to grow to the level that you need them to be at is what allows your customer base to grow. Customers are not happy unless your employees are happy. So start offering rewards, positive reinforcement, and better training to the employees that you already have.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
While customers are normally the most important component of a company’s success, taking a step back and making sure that the entire business is running at the correct pace is important to ensuring growth. Managers can become blinded by the idea that they should pay attention to their customers in orders to find flaws in their products. Customer reviews are an important part of management, but taking a step back and focusing on the back end of the company, such as the employees under you and the quality of their commitment.

INSTANT MBA: Everyone Needs To Take A Break
I agree that taking a break can lead to more productive ideas. Workaholics need down time to rejuvenate, this gives coworkers some much needed relaxing time. Enjoy moments of success with staff, give them positive feedback and then move on to the next project. Employees need some encouragement periodically to keep focused on the work to be done. Even the most successful business owners need to stop and smell the roses.

I think this would be hard for many owners to follow becuase customers satisfaction is so important today. Almost every business would tell you its main focus is the customer, thier company revolves around the customer, or something in that nature so to not put your customers first would really make you look bad especially when the companies around you do anything for the customers. I think that if a business is going to follow this method then they need to be sure they know what they are doing behind the scenes. The right people should be hired who work for the business and not themselves in order to improve the business.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
I can appreciate and relate to this article very much. I work in the backroom of a major retail company and I have very little contact with the customers and very little contact with some of the managers for that matter. All of the products on the sales floor wouldn't be out there if it wasn't for the backroom workers and also for the people who deliver and unload the trucks. The company spends most of its focus on customers which is good but it sometimes loses focus on other parts of the store and its the workers of those parts that have to pay the price for it.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
If a company focuses too heavily on customers, they can actually hinder their business. It's also important to be continuously developing your employees and hiring people to lead your team to success. It's important that companies constantly be looking for ways to grow and better their company as a whole and often times this will have nothing to do with the customer aspect of the business. Although providing great customer service is necessary, it can be easily mastered, and is not the only way to make your business flourish.

It is important to invest in the behind the scenes to help your company run better. It is important to focus on the customers but you cant not forget to focus on the company as a whole and what makes the company run. It is important to focus on who your company can change and evolve to keep up with the customers needs and wants. In order to do this you must focus on the people and teams of people behind the scenes who help make the company run. When this is done customers needs will be met.

INSTANT MBA: Stop Spending All Your Time On Your Customers
It is very important to balance all aspects of a business. If you focus too much on the customer, you may run the risk of allowing things to slip on the execution side. If you focus too much on execution and don’t consider the customer, you may also allow customer satisfaction to slip and lose customers.
