As a manager, you should be continuously watching your employees to make sure that they are working efficiently and timely. When an exhausted employee is identified, it is important for a manager to ask questions and try to figure out whether it is an issue that can be resolved without the negativity seeping into the behavior of other employees. Leaving these issues alone to fester can cause the employee to become more frustrated and start to take their issues out on customers or other employees, one negative employee can drag down an entire workforce.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
An employee can be exhausted for a number of reasons. They can be working too many hours or they don't feel as if they are valued by the company that they work for. There are a number of ways to deal with this before the employee experiences job dissatisfaction and job burnout. Acknowledge the employee and be sure to let them know how important they are to you. If they are working a lot of overtime, make them cut back on that. Also make sure that they are not spending every waking hour at work. Everyone needs time for recreation and to be with their families, so make sure that they know that.

This article explains what one should do in the case of exhausted employees. I've been in a position of being overworked and felt unappreciated. Yes, I put on a brave face for the customers but, I wasn't happy. Managers appeared unconcerned and some customers would add to my frustration by increasing more work for me after I just finished that same task. I could honestly say that my performance fell on the back burner. I was going for a paycheck rather than enjoying what I was hired to do.

How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
This article ties into another article or two about adding value to the employee. I love how the article says to find out why the employees feel exhausted. At times they just need encouragement and acknowledgment of their work to feel valued. Sometimes finding out why they feel so worn out can be a positive change for the company since perhaps they are unhappy with the work they are doing and can maybe shine in another area of work. The best thing a company can do is meet the needs of an employee to make by making sure they're happy, it will good for the business.

Not everyone can be born into charisma. For this reason, it is important for us to be transparent. Being completely honest earns respect with people and allows them to build trust with you. The first time a customer suspects that your’e trying to be sneaky, you’ve lost them forever.

This is a great article for me to read because I have some sales guys who are exhausted and I can tell that they are just unmotivated. It is important to get down to the root issue of where there lack of motivation or exhaustion is coming from and hopefully I can make it easier for them as the leader. Finding out what motivates and inspires people is an important thing managers must do.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
I agree with this article because I believe that actually giving an employee a chance to see your concern in their well-being would help them to re-energize in itself. Making an employee feel that their work actually matters to your company, but most of all letting the individual know that you care. An exhausted employee can definitely hurt your business, so getting them re-energized as soon as possible is what is best for the company, so whatever needs to take place in order to get this individual back up and producing is what the leader needs to accomplish.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
Employees that are overworked are not efficient at all. Also, they can hurt your business because they are exhausted. These employees are performing they way they should. This can cause you to lose money. I think that Diane Trembley is correct in saying that Sometimes entrepreneurs become over-enthusiastic about developing customers, earning money, and breaking ground to grow their companies. When you do this you can tend to overwork yourself and your co-workers/employees.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
Having an employee that is overworked and exhausted is never good for the business. If they feel like their work is being looked over and not appreciated, it could cause their work process to decline. A business wants and needs their employees to be energetic about the company. What businesses need to remember is that it is better to understand your employees. They need to understand what their employees like to do and what they are interested in. Once they figure this out, they can set the employee up so that they can have them doing something that they like to do. Then once the employee starts to work well again, the employer must recognize this.

Employees perform better when motivated properly. I agree with the article that you must point out positives and keep employees content at work to keep your business successful. I always try to make sure to point out what my employees do right and not gloat on mistakes.

this is true if you have co-workers who looks sad every day at work or not interested in their job every day this bad thing. Because people like that is obviously going through something in their life or mentally or maybe they just hate their job, and if that’s the case then you need to talk to them about what’s going and if you can help fix things but if they say no and you can’t then you might have to let that person go from the job.

61 INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
An employee could be exhausted for numerous reasons. It could be from working 60-70 hours a week. It could be from the added stress of more job duties. But it could also be non-work related. If they have a new baby at home and they are not sleeping, that would cause them to be tired. The best way to deal with these problems is to sit down with that employee and just talk to them for a few minutes and see if there is anything that you could do to help. Maybe lighten the load on them for a little while, or recommend some baby tips. Do something before their exhaustion causing their quality of work decreases.

I think another word for exhausted team member or employee is "burn out" or "burnt out" which is what happened slightly in my previous career. There were little things done here and there by our GM to re-energize our management, but often times it happened to be geared towards the guys. No problem with it, other than as the only female on staff it would have been nice to get to experience some of the big ticket things the guys did. It is important to re-energize and speak with those who are tired. If everyone works together even greater things can happen.
