INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
I think one of the most and important and hardest thing to do in business is to keep employee’s enthusiasm high, especially is the job is extremely repetitive. However, if you can find what drives them and discover ways to incorporate that into their work, it would not only increase productivity, but make for a happier employee. Also it is important to look at the signs of an exhausted employee so you can catch and fix it before it affects your business.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
As important as the right people are to your business, Exhausted employees would be just as detrimental. I know from working a rather bad job that I had right after I graduated high school that once you get worn out, even if the worn down feeling only last for a day or two, it can be hugely damaging to the business. You move slower, you do less, you care less. For me, getting re-energized was as simple as taking a day off in one case. The other time, all it took was a good talk with my boss about what the plans were and what was expected of me, and I was right. I definitely agree that the best way to reenergize employees is by face to face talking.

Re-energizing employees is one of the most important aspects of management. Too often too managers take the feelings of their employees for granted. If they are energized at work it will show not only in their work but in their dealings with customers.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
I agree with this article about re-energizing your employees. Sometimes something as simple as putting them in a different position for a day to give them a break can work. An unhappy employee will not perform at their best for you or the company they work for. If an employee is disgruntled and has to deal with customers, their frustration may bleed out onto the customers. I agree that talking with your employees can be beneficial in finding out why they no longer feel appreciated. This addresses the problem right away before it gets bigger and hurts the company or business.

Unhappy employees lead to unhappy customers and an unhappy business as a whole. Managers must make sure that they continue to motivate their employees and that they also acknowledge their employees for what they do. If a manager sees that an employee is obviously exhausted with their job it is their responsibility to find out why and what they can do to help. The article makes a great point about finding out what your employees like to do so you can provide an incentive for them to do it. I think that is a great idea. You should also create a work environment that is positive and open to discussion between the leader and employees. This will allow for open lines of communication. When there are open lines of communication employees are more likely to not feel exhausted. It is important as a leader to make sure that your employees do not get burnt out or feel as if there work is not valued.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
If you have an exhausted employee you should talk to them as soon as possible. Ask them what is going on and if there is anything you can do to make their performance better. If they are working in one section of your business ask them if they think they would be happier working in another section. If they feel like they are not important then you can try increasing their pay so they know their work is appreciated. Remind your employees that they are doing a good job. You never want to upset your employees because their attitude toward can rub off when talking to customers.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
It goes without saying that employees need encouragement and motivation to stay on task and enthusiastic about the job they're doing. Many previous articles have mentioned this as well, and I think it's one of the more important aspects of being a leader. When people feel important and feel like their job is worth something, that is what motivated them to keep doing it and doing it well. Sometimes it just takes a few words to let someone know they are valued and appreciated, and it tends to go a long way.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
This article is a good summary of what can happen if managers don't appreciate the people that are working for them, as well as what happens if one employee is doing too much around the workplace. Doing other people's jobs, and not feeling appreciated can be two of the most common ways an employee becomes exhausted. I think that there needs to be good communication in the workforce for when they are feeling overwhelmed people feel comfortable coming to their boss about it in order to fix it. If there is not good communication, they will continue to become burnt out and eventually their performance will affect the business negatively.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
I think its essential that managers spend time getting to know employees. Employees are essential to the survival of your business and you have to get to know them to know how to motivate, inspire, and reprimand them properly because no one person is the same. If you have a de-energized team member it is important that you spend the time with that person and help them work out the issues. If the person really does feel that their hard work isn't recognized or important and you choose to ignore it, you will ultimately lose the employee and it may be either before or after their lowered performance level truly hurts your business.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
Motivating exhausted employees has only become an issue in general business in the last few decades, as people are less and less likely to take vacations and sick days, and more likely to work overtime to meet tight deadlines. These employees tend to start on a declining curve of productivity and efficiency, possibly causing issues with customers either directly or indirectly. When a manager realizes that he or she has exhausted employees, motivation is a huge factor, and has to be approached a certain way. If the manager does not know why the employee is exhausted or what motivates him/her, the manager is tasked to find this information out, and to devise a plan to motivate said employee. In my opinion, once the project/duty is finished, the manager should recommend that the employee takes some personal time to re-energize.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
I think that it is important to seek out unenthusiastic employees and see what the issue is. By noticing an employee that is lacking in enthusiasm, you can nip the issue in the bud and turn them around to be more productive. If the unenthusiastic employee is in direct view of the public, it can be very damaging to your business.

INSTANT MBA: How To Deal With Exhausted Employees Before They Hurt Your Business
I agree with the article when it said when re-energizing your exhausted employees it is is to speak directly to them. If they are unenthusiastic about the work they are doing, this could affect not only their performance, but your company's services and product. This will be a reflection of your business and you only have once chance at a first impression.
