INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger' I agree with having employees motivated and able to be challenged with new responsibilities. I know for myself i like to be challenged and given new responsibilities at work. I was given a few extra responsibilities at work and it allowed me to move up the ladder and also gave me a bonus in my pay. I was passionate not to let anyone down and also wanted to prove to myself that i could succeed. Giving employees opportunities to grow and learn will also make your company grow.

Having a big company is great. Managers have to have great expectations of their employees and products. You do not want your job to become too overwhelming.

INSTANT MBA: Leaders Must Be Consistent
This is one of my biggest challenges today. The leaders of our company are far from consistent. They have been in the habit of changing things as they go. Or doing things as they need them instead of in the manner they should be done. Then they wonder why the people who look to them for direction are so inconsistent. It is like a vicious circle. I firmly believe that leaders should be consistent!

Static employees lead to a static mindset and a lack of innovation for the company. Not all innovation comes from the top down. In many cases, hard driving employees are the ones that have great new ideas that drive the company forward. Every firm should realize this and attempt to foster the development of their employees so they continue to bring more and more value to the firm over the course of their careers.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I believe that the stance this article takes on growth and development of a business is very accurate. By keeping your employees constantly moving and working on new projects it keeps your business growing. A business that is not growing is a business that is stagnant and can be sustainable. I like theme this article emphasizes.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I really like where the article went when they talked about employees and their duties should grow as the company grows. Not only does it create dynamic work environment, but it also incites people to continue coming up with innovative ways to move the company ahead. You don't remain stagnant. You want them grow everyday because if something is not growing it's dying.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
A job should always give an employee the opportunity to show what they are capable of doing. She is right though because jobs are always evolving and the employees must be able to adapt with the environment as well to make a dynamic opportunity for such success. So being and pushing to be great is really good for a business.

I agree that employees need to be pushed to expand their horizons. It's a healthy exercise to try new things and go outside of your comfort zone. This helps to develop more job skills with experience.

Creating new opportunities for employees is a great way to keep them motivated to do greater things. When an employees does not see any new opportunities they have nothing to look forward to and they become like robots just doing the status quot because they do not have anything to motivate them to do more. No one wants to work for free or be in a job where they have nothing to look forward to.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I agree with this article. I believe you should challenge your employees to go above and beyond what their expectations are. When they do this and see the results they will realize the job is moving forward. Everyone should set goals to work towards something to better themselves.

This is a great article to read for an employer whose business is remaining idol. The article explains how having a workforce that is continually learning and growing will keep the business expanding and vise versa. For an employee who is always pushing and learning new things and ways of doing things within an organization will help push that organization to new and bigger things so that employee can continue to grow.

GameStop is a great company and I agree with the CEO Paul Raines. He said that as a company evolves and incorporates fresh initiatives, workers need to evolve alongside those changes. Employees and their duties should grow as the company grows. Not only does it create dynamic work environment, but it also incites people to continue coming up with innovative ways to move the company ahead. I think that people need to evolve with their company.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
I believe that this article states a good idea. The article states that as the company grows, the employees duties should grow. This does make sense, however, I am not sure it is a good idea in all cases. In some companies, the employees already have so much responsibility that if you loaded them down with more duties the quality and efficiency of work would suffer. Also, there may be many employees that do not want any more responsibility than what they already have. Some employees may be perfectly comfortable with the skill set they have and doing the same tasks everyday. I do feel that challenging employees can be good, however, it is only successful when you challenge the right employees.
