Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
Introducing new products into a company will help the company grow. If the company grows you need to hire more employees to take on the responsibilities, or give the current employee more responsibilities. If your workers are efficient and get their work done it would be better to give them more responsibilities than to pay to hire more employees. If you can keep your wage expense at its current rate and still get the extra work done, your company will continue to grow and you will see a larger profit margin. If the extra work can be done by the current employees, I believe you should give them the extra responsibilities so the company can earn more profit.

I think that companies should follow advice in this article. I like idea of giving employees that incentive to be better and to work harder to get the most out of their position. Also, I think it is important to help develop your employees through providing them with feedback and make sure they are moving in a direction that is appropriate for what the business is trying to achieve.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
A growing company requires a growing responsibility. Management and tasks cannot stay the same size with company growth. If you are not able to grow alongside the company chances are they will find someone who will. Be ready and prepared to adapt on the fly with a growing company or if you want your company to grow in general.

This article is very true. It is so important to constantly change, grow, and continue learning. I feel that everyone, no matter what field, should always be learning what is new about what they are doing. This is important for not only employees, but for companies as well. They have to continue to innovate and learn what's out in the market to be able to "stay in the game" and be part of the competition. Also, whenever you have room to grow in a company, it makes working easier to do, knowing that you can move up in the company eventually if you just try hard and constantly learn.

In this article Raines talks about motivating people in your company. He says the best way is to continue pushing them to do better by creating new opportunities for them. When the company grows, so should it's employees along with the tasks they need to do. Having your employees busy with new duties will keep them constantly working on new innovative ideas. It will help them stay creative and your company will continue to grow.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
To keep up with shifts in demand of the marketplace, changing in tastes and attitudes of customers, and developments in technology, companies are having to change and evolve at a faster rate than in years past. Likewise, employees must keep up with these changes. When new projects, like new brands and marketing plans, are being considered by upper management, it is important to make sure all employees, especially the front-line workers who communicate directly with customers, are on board. Giving all employees the opportunity to create new ways to do their own job that are in line with the company's vision is a better way to create a work team that cares for and embraces their own responsibilities.

Always striving for better keeps you moving forward. The author explains that evolving a business requires ideas from every employee at every level. At my previous job at McDonald's, there was always potential for advancement for those willing to work for it. Every employee no matter what walk of life they come from had a potential for management and hire if they were bigger than their job.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I don't exactly get what this suppose to mean because as the article explain as employees stay in the company they get new assignment and they should create new products and increase the line of the business. But to me i do believe that as employee stay and create new lines of business to find opportunities they employee grew bigger but and they job/ assignment gets bigger but it does not mean that the employee will be doing they all work by him/herself because because new employee are also recruited to take smaller jobs/assignment which is not the same as working on the all load( new lines and old)

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
This article makes an excellent point. Managers should always strive to motivate their employees to keep growing in their job. Always make it seem like employees are progressing in their career and not just working for a paycheck. Not every employee can be promoted, but keep setting attainable goals for each employee so they can feel accomplish after completing a certain task or goal. You do not want your employees to feel like they are in a rut, because this will hurt many aspects of the business.

Instant MBA: ‘If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger’ Companies and people are always growing. Employees should be able to grow with the company. If the person stops growing then they tend to lose interest in that company. The company should allow that person to grow and expand in the workforce. Employees should be given new responsibilities and should be able to have something to look forward to when they go to work. People should be confident that they can grow and no be afraid to try new things.

"If you are bigger than your job, your job will get bigger"
As a company evolves, so does it's personnel. With technological advances, people will need to be retrained on how to do some things. New company policies change fairly often as well, and employees should be aware of such changes and on why the changes occurs. I've worked for a company for over 2 years that never changed or evolved in innovation. The goals they had when the company started was the same when I was employed. It showed me how stagnant a business can become just by not making simple changes through the course of their business history.

This article reflects on companies' dominant workers who are performing the best. Obviously when new tasks and assignments come up you naturally want to pass them on to your best workers. A lot of times you may end up with a worker who naturally flies through their assignments because they are too easy. So in order to keep them focused and fresh you feed them something new to keep them hungry. It will definitely motivate employees to keep trying and continue to work hard if not harder.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I like the quote, "if you are bigger than your job, your job will get bigger." Most companies are continually growing and employees should want to grow with the company. This article speaks the truth about growing employees with incentive. Each individual should want to grow their skill and knowledge but incentives gives employees something to work towards. As companies evolve with technology employees should be willing to learn the new technology.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
In a business that is growing, it is good to make your employees grow too. Employees should always be motivated, and giving them more responsibilities and duties will make them more active in the company. Also as the business grows, it will need more positions to fill up, which you can use your employees that have been with the company for a while and give them more responsibilities. Employees should always be challenged, sometimes work can get monotone from the everyday repetition of the same activities, by changing the work dynamics it will keep employees active and they will give better ideas that will push the company forwards.

Paul Raines makes good points about the change in the company. I think when you keep innovating or changing the company in different ways keeps the employees from getting bored. Some employees do not like change and these employees would not fit in Raines model for business. Keeping your employees on their toes keeps them sharp and helps them develop new ideas and this helps the company grow.
