INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
When employed with a company sometimes you have to go above and beyond what your job duties state in order to get ahead within the company. Businesses are always growing and they are always changing. If you don't learn how to change with the company, then you will get left behind. They will find someone to replace you who can do these things. The only thing that is constant within a business is that it will change in some way and you have to learn how to keep up with those changes and to grow as the business grows.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
This article is excellent for anyone who believes in the idea that "if you are not moving forward, you are not going anywhere". "If you think pennies you get pennies, but if you think dollars you get dollars", Ray Charles once said. If one becomes comfortable in their current position then they often lose motivation to be better. This attitude can hinder a person from reaching their potential in their business. If one continues to thrive for success, then one will continue to be successful and their success will only expand to new horizons.

It’s no secret that in the professional world that sometimes when a person holds a certain position, they get comfortable. Their job becomes a routine thing. The more employees are challenged with new ideas or more products, it changes their perception of their job. If a company wants to grow, employees can’t get too relaxed. They must grow along with the business in order for it to continue to thrive. I hope to achieve and create a growing business that change with the time. I like innovation, change, creativity, and diversity. If all is incorporated in daily operations, the outcomes are endless.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I was always bigger then my job and kept getting promotions because of that. I dress the part of a manager and got a job as a manager. Management should grew there employees by giving them bigger task and influencing them to be more innovative by doing so. Employees and people alone like the experience of growth and longevity. If employees are doing the same job over and over the job gets boring and uninteresting and a manager doesnt want to lose that focus. Employees like new and innovated things so give it to them.

Instant MBA: If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger
Companies must be moving forward, if they are just sitting still they are effectively just declining. So as companies grow the employees of the company must grow as well. This is exciting to the employees if the leaders encourage creation and originality in their job descriptions. Many companies today are trying to do more with less and as they expand they just keep the same employees and just expand their roles. This puts pressure on the employees but if they take to that responsibility well it will be better for the entirety of the organization.

This article says that “a good way to motivate employees is to continue pushing them to do better by creating new opportunities for them.” If your are genuinely concerned in bettering your employees your employees will return the favor in operating the business in the best way they can. It all goes back to caring about people and investing in their life. When people believe that you care, they are going to believe in your brand and in your business.

INSTANT MBA: 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I can agree with this article completely. When employees have new opportunities that they can work towards, they tend to strive and push themselves to the best of their abilities. Opportunities give employees goals and something to work towards. It also keeps them from getting bored in their work because they are constantly getting new objectives and task to do. Having opportunities for employees allows them to want to grow and gives them motivation to do something more for the company.

For your business to be able to develop and grow, you and your employees need to do this as well. You as the leader can help them to grow within the company. Giving them more responsibilities and every now and then changing the way that the company runs things to be able to keep up with all the latest trends. When you do this you watch your business become what you want it to be!

I understand that you should push yourself in what you do, as well as, managers pushing people by giving them rewards for achieving lofty goals. However, what does "If you are bigger than your job your job will get bigger" mean? If your make yourself the best you can be at work, work will get better? If you put forth great effort then you will be promoted? I am a bit confused as to what that means, but with that being said I think that you should always stride to be the best you can be in whatever it is you put time into. It is also the managers job to keep pushing employees and rewarding them for all the positive things they have done for the company.

Employees should definitely grow as the company grows. It is only right because employees are putting in all the necessary work to keep the company running in the first place. Therefore, reward them by moving them up in the company by simultaneously giving them the chance to grow as the company grows. This would probably attract more people to the company because they would see the process others have made through the company and keep your company in a very proactive place.

INSTANT MBA : 'If You Are Bigger Than Your Job, Your Job Will Get Bigger'
I’m not sure I agree with this article 100%. Yes, I think you should motivate you employees to evolve and want to do better in their particular jobs, but to ask employees to add more responsibilities is an example of overworking employees. If you give your employee incentives and praises for doing more, that is a different statement however. If give employees a reason to want to work harder and take on more responsibilities. There is a possibly to outgrow you current position as well and maybe that is what this article is implying.
