Instant MBA: When You Overwork Your Employees, You’re Cheating Yourself and Your Business
An over-utilized employee is an under-productive employee. An under-productive employee will cause errors. Errors will cost time and ultimately money. Added costs will limit a business's profitability. Finally, if a business is not profitable it has no reason to exist and will eventually fail. This article discusses this vicious chain reaction in great detail, and I agree with it's concept.

In respects to the text, employees are still people at the end of the day. Sometimes, CEOs get caught up in the operational aspect of the business that they forget they had to start from the bottom of chain and everyone deserves respect and dignity. Employees should feel a sense of pride about where they work without feeling entrapped going to work because they have to. I’m fortunate enough to work for an employer, who believes in the wellbeing of not only the clients but, the employees as well. They believe in motivation, inspiration, and rewarding works for what they do. They attempt to find out what we like and implement our needs. No one wants to feel like a worker bee nor do they should be treated like one.

Instant MBA: When You Overwork Your Employees, You’re Cheating Yourself and Your Business
When people feel involved, respected, and empowered they are more productive in the business. Their work ethic becomes strengthened and it is easier to influence others in the workplace to do the same. Work, work, work can just tire out any person, and cause them to eventually resent being there.

People want to be treated like you treat yourself. Dont overwork your employees, you wouldnt overwork yourself so why do it to someone else. Im not saying that overworking is a bad thing every now and then, but constantly being overworked can drive a person insane and possibly make them quit there job. Well being a manager it should be require that managers give there employees time to breath and take more breaks from time to time.

Instant MBA: When You Overwork Your Employees, You’re Cheating Yourself and Your Business
Overworking your employees may generate more production up front but will cost your business in the long run. By treating your employees the way you want to be treated you will increase workplace morale and employees will like leaders more. They will eventually work harder for you because they respect you and appreciate the opportunity to work in a good environment. There still needs to be some balance so employees don't feel so casual they don't work hard, but if you respect your employees they will ultimately respect and work hard for you.

The main thing I took away from this link of the day is to treat others like you treat yourself. The link talks about having a balance in life. Working hard is good but it’s also essential to take time to have fun as well. The link says that it’s essential for overall well being.

Instant MBA: When You Overwork Your Employees, You’re Cheating Yourself and Your Business
I agree with this article 100%. To often do people get wrapped up in their business and forget why they were doing it in the first place. Sometimes you have to step back, take a breather, and live life outside of work. Also when you overwork your employees the quality of work will go down. Its good for you and your employees to have a low stress level and you can not do this when you are constantly worried about work or you are always working.

This article speaks the truth. When you overwork yourself or your employees you are cheating not only yourself but your business as well. This is because when you overwork or your employees overwork then everything starts to suffer. Your employees begin to get tired meaning they try to get their work done as quickly as they can. When doing your work too quickly then sometimes you miss things that you might not otherwise miss, and you could make mistakes that you would not normally make. Making sure your employees have a sufficient amount of time for themselves as well enough time to do their own work in your business and ultimately making for a better employee.

I would have to agree with this article. When first starting out a job is morbid at best, having to go in and be micro managed by a guy or girl who has been there longer than you have telling you what you should and shouldn't be doing. I like to think of how a company should be run by referring to Google, they have all sorts of amenities for their employees. Basketball court, foosball, video games, you name it they have it. This allows for people to take a break away from what they have been focussing on, takes away the stress of the job by having fun while at work. I can't remember the name of the company that does this but they have nerf wars in the office at random points to elleviate stress for their workers and have fun at the same time. IT creates an environment where it is work hard play hard, and according to studies done with google they are getting a much higher return because of it.

I totally agree with this article. If you are overworking yourself or your employees you are really just hurting yourself. People to need motivation to do their work and over working them would just make them irritated to the point of eventual resignation. You have to find balance between work and play in order to have a good company and to keep your employees happy. You are supposed to love your job not hate it.

INSTANT MBA: When You Overwork Your Employees, You're 'Cheating Yourself And Your Business'
This is a very honest and agreeable motto to follow. I’ve always been taught what goes around comes around growing up and it can be related to the point this article is trying to make. It’s never a good idea to overwork your employees. Just like team members on a sports team, you must give your players an opportunity to rest before they can play their A game. With the space and comfort to work leisurely yet at a steady productive pace, your employees will work with minimal negativity and have a more positive outlook on their personal success. Because your employees are the foundation of your company, the outcome will be much greater with a happier workforce.

INSTANT MBA : When You Overwork Your Employees, You're 'Cheating Yourself And Your Business'
I agree with this article 100%. When employees are overworked, they become resentful and are not happy to be at work. This affects productivity as well as customer service. Sometimes businesses only see more customers and more money if everyone works extremely hard, but that is not the case. You lose valuable employees. This is actually happening where I work now. Turnover is extremely high and there are only a few people left who have been there for many years. These people who are great assets to the company for their knowledge are getting tired of training new people just to have them leave a few months down the road. Overloading work makes everyone miserable in the end. I agree there should be a healthy balance between work and home life.

INSTANT MBA:When You Overwork Your Employees, You're Cheating Yourself And Your Business
When reading this article think bout yourself. The feeling you feel when you have been overloaded is dreadful and can possibly result in a product that is less than your best. Most people are hard working and more creative when they are happy. Take artist and writers for instance, when writers are in a slump, which they call a "writer's block" it's majority of the time whenever they have no inspiration or no happy motivational drive to help them to continue. Giving employees a break at times will ultimately benefit your company in a positive way.
