85 TITLE - Diaz Nesamoney: When Was the Last Time You Changed Your Mind About Something Important
Most people do not like change. However a lot of the time change is necessary. People get caught up in their comfort zones and do not like to change the way they have done something for so long. As a manager you need to lead by example and be able to handle the change as well as encouraging your employees to do the same thing. Sometime people how a great idea but then will change their mind because they didn’t want to change. Very ironic, having a idea to change something, but not doing it because you don’t want to change.

This video is short and to the point. Basically it says that change is important. The reason that change is important is because the business world is constantly changing so it's important to adapt with that and change according to where it is going. Most people are afraid of change, but the fact is that change is inevitable and it is important to keep up.

I would definitely share this link with friends and colleagues. Thank you Professor. I think think that this is a recurring theme of companies and employees being able to stay focused making informed decisions and adapting to change.

Change is constant, especially into today's fast-paced business world. When the game changes, a business must be willing to adapt and change with it. Businesses who remain stiff and rigid in a changing environment will probably face some tough times ahead.

This 30 Second MBA video was too short and not challenging enough for me. As always it leaves us with thoughts about topics such as change. The marketplace is constantly changing, so businesses have to as well. The idea has been talked about in past videos with better presentations. The lingering effects of these 30 Second MBA videos are normally potent, but this one is dull! It's less like strong coffee and more like decaf. I simply did not enjoy it!

Leaders shouldnt be stubborn! They should be able to make the necessary changes when they need to be made. It makes no sense to have a better option in front of you and not take it just because you didnt come up with it. Ive had a boss like that before and it makes not only the employees suffer, but the customers as well.

Managers should be open to change. The marketplace is always changing, the customers are always changing, and the employees are always changing. Changing you mind about an important decision is ok and sometimes works out for the better. Managers should not be afraid to change their minds about something, but they should evaluate all of their options and make sure the new decision they are making are the right ones for the company and its employees and customers.

Business changes all the time, so changing your decision is ok. As a business owner, you cannot control everything. Things happen the way they do and being a good business person is being able to adapt to those changes. They last time I changed my mind about something important was probably my major in school. Realizing I wanted to be a business major was the right choice for me.

I agree. I can usually make a decision pretty quickly. However, sometimes I do tend to second guess myself. So it takes me a little longer to change my mind about something. I guess I should change my mind as quickly as I made the decision the first time.

Change happens and we must be able to react to changes. Stubbornness and pride can be more harm than good if they prevent us from having the flexibility to change courses when the situation changes. Managers must stay flexible and pay attention to the market to better react to the changes that take place. While it is difficult and can be frustrating to get rid of an old plan, doing so will bring prosperity to one’s life.

As a manager, you want to be as open as you can be. You don't want to be one of those managers that won't be able to handle change effectively. You want the freedom to be able make a different decision based on changes around you. There are many things in business that change on a daily basis, and if you can handle those changes effectively, that will make you a great leader. You want to be one of those leaders who can be spontaneous and deal with changes on your own on a daily basis.

Flexibility is a very important skill to have as a manager. The business environment changes daily, so decisions will constantly need to be adjusted. Something that works today, may not apply for every same situation in the future. Managers have to be able to remain flexible and conform to changing environments. Planning ahead will help with these changes, but ultimately being flexible will be what helps mangers to succeed in their positions.

In cases like this, when you're really not sure what the right decision is, it's important to follow your gut. Do what's morally right. It's not always going to be the favorable option, and some people may end up negatively affected by the choice, but you should always do what's best for the company.

This is very true, business leaders need to be flexible about making decisions. Things change such as the business environment, competition and customer behavior so they need to be willing and able to make changes. If they are not very flexible the business could suffer.
