Customers, technology, the environment and so much more are changing each day. We have to learn to be flexible and know when to implement change to keep up. It can be easy to fall behind which can hurt the company in the long run to be "safe", but it can lead to failure.

It is important to be able to change quickly and smoothly while in business. As a manager you must always be looking for something new others might like and being able to accept the change.

Diaz Nesamoney: When Was the Last Time You Changed Your Mind About Something Important?
Being a good leader involves being open and willing to change when needed. The world is advancing at an alarming rate. Technology has created a society that is always looking for the next best thing; something bigger and better than what they experienced a minute ago. Business leaders must realize that how something was done a year ago or six months ago may now be obsolete due to changes in technology and societal trends. A good leader must be flexible and open to change, but must also know when and how to keep up with these changes.

Change is inevitable. The speaker was right. Not only is business constantly changing but, so is the world around. If everyone and everything remained the same, how would we prosper or reach our full potentials. There's not a day that goes by that I don't change my mind. The way I perceive things may encourage critical thinking, which allows me to change my perception and viewpoints.

When a decision is made, if the effects of that decision are harming the organization, sticking to it just because you made a decision about it doesn't make any sense. The key is being flexible, and accept changes if at all you need to change. Of course strategies are changing, the behavior changes, competition, because they are the people who already accept change and you need to change. It is also something as a manager will have difficulties when implementing because people do not like change, people like to stay in their comfort zones. But as a manager you need to be example by first accepting change and encouraging employees to like the changes and their advantages.

This video is stating that in the business world flexibility is king. Allowing yourself to be flexible enables for us to deal with the ever changing environment that is business. Like in the video, strategy changes due to competition, customers wants and needs, and how the business is viewed by the public. Depending on these variables people need to learn hot to roll with the punches and deal with them as they arise. Being able to change your mind about a product is key to how successful that product will be. If a competitor creates a product similar to yours, what do you do? Hold off the release and figure out ways to make it better than what the competitor's product is. Using the ability to change will allow for the company to be better equipped to face these challenges head on.

Change is inevitable and we should all be prepared as decision makers to adapt to change in times of need. There are many factors that could alter a decision, such as internal factors within the organization or external factors in socety. Business plans and other important decisions should not be set in stone and should be altered to keep up with advances. Being a business owner allows you the freedom to make changes when needed or desired.

This video is something I am no good at. For years I have been learning to adapt to change. Change is something that happens everyday and it will happen no matter if you are ready for it or not. For me, change is hard to deal with. I like my routines and I enjoy knowing what I am doing when it comes to the work. Being an auditor has been one of the hardest jobs I have ever had. Everyday I do something different. My routine changes everyday and that is difficult for me to accept. However, I do agree with the video, it is good for an individual to be able to deal with change. It is something that will take place and the better you are able to adapt, the better employee you will be.

Flexibility is key. You need to be open minded and be ready for instantaneous change. As the video states even if you made an important decision you should be able to change it. No matter the importance of the decision you should be able to back out of it if you need to. Also not only you need to be flexible but make sure your company can be flexible, so if an important decision does not go through, there might another decision that will. So this changes need to be taken care of not just from a manager point of view, but the whole company as a whole.

I agree whole heartedly with this video about making decisions and changing out minds. People change, our environment changes, our surroundings change, therefore there should be no strict rule of "this is the decision we've made so me must stick with it." Evolve and adapt like our surroundings and we should be good.

I fully agree with this video. As a leader or manager (or just as any normal person), you need to be able to stay flexible and change your mind to another decision if something does not seem right. I have recently had to do this with a very importnt decision at my job. I was originally sold on my decision and thought nothing could change my mind, but within a 24 hour period, I w's presented with a new insight that completely changed my perspective on the situation. I had to change my mind because the original decision would not be in the best interest for myself nor the company.

The quickest way to get behind in your industry is the inability to adapt to changes that affect your company. We learn in management how important it is to recognize these changes and remain competitive throughout these changes. Other companies are waiting for you to fail, just as they eagerly await the coming adversities that will knock you out the park.

As a manager you need to be flexible with your employees as well as with your customers when it comes to change. This is because change happens everyday in some shape or form. Change is something that could bring your business success and you want to be able to provide that for all your employees and your customers.
