Instant MBA: In a Fast-Pace World, Some things can wait I can relate to this article completely. During the close of the month for the company I work for, people tend to think their responsibilities are above everyone else’s. Everyone has deadlines to make, and everyone has to get them done. If a question is asked thirty minutes before a deadline is due, there is a good chance I will not answer it until I have met my deadline because they have already had ample time to submit their question. This will let them know that we are busy on the other side as well, and if a question needs answering they should allow time for the other person to respond.

We live in a world where communication happens in so many different ways. Technology has made some of these forms so much easier. Creating a FAQ form is a great idea. This is because when it comes to all those simple questions be asked over and over again answering them again and again becomes aggravating and takes up a lot of valuable time. The FAQ form helps to free up that time and make sure that all the questions that are asked and answered are taken care of at one time.

Growing up I was always taught to do things as you received it. “Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can do today”. If you do it now you’ll have less headaches later. I understand there are many things going on and sometimes you just don’t have time to do everything. In a business setting many questions are redundant and you should be able to prepare automated questions to help answer some of those questions that are asking the same thing. Also you must learn how to connect and disconnect mentally in order to keep yourself sane and from being overwhelmed. So find the perfect balance is also the key.

I feel like this was a memo sent to every professor of every college which is why we all have to have that syllabus day on the first day of school where it tells you everything so you don't have questions or as few as possible. I have noticed my days becoming shorter and my life becoming more and more routine due to the daily school/work/homework schedule. However, I haven't gotten to the point where I'm moving way too fast, I like to allow myself time to get back to someone if I'm busy, it doesn't need to be right when I get a message. I do get back to that person with answers and ways to do insert example here. I do like the idea of putting everything in order of importance especially when it comes to work or social life.

LINK #9 INSTANT MBA : In A Fast-Paced World Something Can Wait
I like Mrs. Ruth’s Idea on how to deal with the fast paced world. If you are
always responding to everyone’s emails as soon as you get them you leave little time
to do what you need to get done during the day. By waiting a little longer to respond
to question that may not be as important as others will save time. Also if you respond
right away people will get the habit of expecting you to do every time. By waiting a
little big people will understand you are busy and will not be expected a response in
30 seconds. I really like her idea of sending out frequently asked questions form.
That will save you a lot of time in responding to the same questions all the time.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
This article is discussing how taking a break from immediately responding to "needy" customers will be beneficial. "The customer is always right" is the old saying, but some customers expect so much that it may become unrealistic to provide fair service to them as well as your other customers for. The tip that the author shares is proposing questions in a matter that anticipates what customers might have to say in response is a great way to reduce some of the overwhelming amount of questions asked. Being asked to answer the same question multiple times is rather annoying especially if the business is busy at the moment. The only combatant to this behavior is patience and positivity.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
In todays world with technology hardly anyone ever meets face to face. With text messaging, emailing, and social sites most people never need to speak in person. Almost everyone expects for you to get back to them immediately. Because of this it is good to prioritize the most important clients and who to get back to first. It is also important to be organized in your scheduling and like the article said maybe make a frequently asked questions that you can email to clients to save you time.

I've had experience with this through eBay. I do a lot with ebay, buying, selling, shipping, returns. When it comes to dealing with customers it's hard to get to address every problem right away. When i'm selling a lot it becomes stressful at times because I will have a ton of emails from people who are expecting immediate responses and sometimes it's just not possible.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
This directly applies to my tumultuous college career right now. I have to manage relationships with my family and friends, as well as my peers in organizations on and off campus, and still I must remain focused on my academic success. With internet today, the things I get asked about can be easily found on google, however, I'm usually the person who does the googling and report back to them. Recently I have created my own "Frequently Asked Questions" form know as "Google It."

Customers do come first but so does my health. I can remember when I first started college I was taking 15 hours in school and working 45 to 50 hours at work. It's important that we remember to separate what needs to be done now from what I can do later. We all are spoiled when this instant gratification. We need to slow down people have become so impatient with everything in life. They want everything right now. I'm guilty of it as well but we should slow down before we missed the good times as they say.

Instant MBA: In a Fast-Pace World, Some things can wait
In today's world, everyone is always super busy and no one has a lot of downtime outside of their daily job duties. I liked this article because it doesn't pressure you into answering people quickly but tells you how to handle those situations. The frequently asked questions list is a great idea. At my job now, we get a ton of the same questions all the time. It would eliminate some of the hassle if we had a FAQ list available.
