INSTANT MBA: “In a Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait.”
This article reminds us to provide a service, but to put yourself in their shoes. If you’re constantly asked the same questions, then just put a little list together that can be sent out to everyone. That way you don’t have to keep answering the same questions and you give yourself more time to focus on more important matters. That it will also make you look more efficient and like your trying to be helpful to everyone else.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
We all have them weeks where our lives are so busy. Sometimes when so many people are demanding too much from you, you need to just step back and take a breather. You don't have to reply to everyone right away. Sometimes it's all right for you to take your time getting back to people that way your answers are fully thought out. When you try to reply to fast your answers may sometimes seem short and you may forget important information that you need to say.

On the subject of prioritizing tasks, i feel that it is important not to overwhelm yourself with tasks that simply can wait. Of course people expect immediate response, but some question require more thought, and its not always good for someone to rush tasks under unnecessary pressure. Also, a person who appears busy, is perceived as a person who's time and expertise is at a high demand, thus gaining the respect of customers and fellow companies. Think about it, you can hardly ever get a company's top manager on the phone by simply calling, in most cases you'll have to leave a message and wait for a response, and how often is it instantaneous?

In business or life you can feel A little overwhelmed at times. I found prioritizing your task, will work wonders when you find yourself to busy to get anything done. Organizing and prioritizing works wonders when your plate is completely full. You need to be focused on the urgent matters at hand before you deal with any less pressing matters. Not only will this minimize the stress levels in your life, it will make for much happier clients or customers in the long run.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
My current manager has been found guilty of trying to do everything at one time. It was driving him to be very stressed out and it showed. One day we had a walk from corporate. He had a very good conversation with the corporate employee. He asked my manager why he was trying to do everything. He told my manager the exact same thing. "Some things can wait." Since then he has been far less stressed and more efficient at delegating tasks to us.

I agree with this article completely. If you don't give yourself a breather every now and then you will constantly be stressed and slammed at work. It is a simple task to figure out what is really important and what can wait. Eventually everything will get done but there is no need to put loads of pressure on yourself at all times. Take a breather for a day and start fresh the next with the little things that can wait.

I agree that dealing with needy people can feel overwhelming from my point of view. Even when dealing with people under you or people who you are training. At on point it is nice not to be needed for all the little things. But the old saying goes that the day they don’t need you is the day you are out of a job.

Communication is a key role in the success of a business. Questions must be answered in a polite and quick manner. but in order to operate at top capacity the frequent asked questions should not be addressed on the daily. Id advice a question center where the employee could look up the answere to his/her question and not slow down the process of others.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
This occurs all too frequently in today’s business climate. Clients and employees believe that their singular issue is the most important, and should be pushed to the front of the line, in regards to a manager’s priorities. In my line of work, I deal with this every day. What I try to do is give the client or co-worker a head’s up, if I have a very important deadline coming up, or something more pressing is on my docket currently. I also try to give status updates often enough to let them know I haven’t forgotten. But I do like the idea of having an FAQ mail-out that can be forwarded to clients, possibly answering their question before they send the communication to you.

The world we live in now is fast paced, you have to prioritize and delegate your tasks. One person cannot do everything. Also being proactive, will let your clients know that you are ahead of them and know what they need.

INSTANT MBA: You Can Dilute A Message By Using Too Many Words
Sometimes, I think people talk just to hear themselves talk. On a daily basis I have two that come to mind. If a questions is asked, an anser should be given. The answer does not have to be given with every detail and examples of why the answer was given. So, I have to say this article has a lot of validity to it. Once you go into talking about things that are really irrelevant to the point of the conversation, the listener probably stops listening. I know I do. I fish out the answer that I was looking for and then stop listening to the other nonsense. It's time consuming and annoying to have someone dilute the original purpose of the conversation.

Communication is a key role in the success of a business. Prioritizing task is another major key and will work wonders when you find yourself to busy to get anything done. Although it is not always realistic it get things done when you want/need them to it is always important to try your hardest.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
This article conveys a message of time effectiveness and time management. Business methods can be high stress, high intensity, and fast-moving which makes time effectiveness and time management very important attributes that must be applied in order to succeed. It is necessary to delegate things of low importance less time than you would something of high importance. I think the overall message has a "do not sweat the small stuff" quality to it.

There are pros and cons to putting together a weekly frequently asked questions form and sending it to clients. The pros are you may be able to prevent a few calls by preparing the form. The cons are most people want to speak to an actual person. Especially if they are needy. The other con is you have to actually sit down and prepare the list. This takes time. Also whenever I see a frequently asked questions list. I always ask myself. If they knew there would be questions, why didn't they just make it more user friendly in the first place. I guess all in all no matter what you do it is always hard to please everyone. Especially someone who is needy. I believe you should handle it on a case by case basis.

INSTANT MBA: In A Fast-Paced World, Some Things Can Wait
You always have to prioritize information. We do it all day, every day. Some things are less important than others and we have to be willing to put them on the back burner. This a basic skill that any person should be able to do.
