INSTANT MBA: Don't Hype Up Your Product Until It's Perfect
Instead of focusing on marketing a product as best you can, you should focus on creating the best product that will eventually market itself. Good products market themselves through word of mouth from customers. Customers remember a known problem of a product more easily than a known benefit. Something about hearing a product is bad catches our attention better than hearing it is good. To prevent this from happening a company should make sure the product they are delivering is one that will not attract negative comments or sold with faults.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Hype Up Your Product Until It's Perfect
I agree with this article a pretty good bit. My dad always taught us in sports that if you are good enough, you don't have to brag on yourself because others will do it for you. Same thing in business, if your product is good enough then it will sell itself. The more the company focuses on improving the product and making it better then the more your product will sell. Marketing and advertising can only do so much for a product. If the product don't live up to its expectations then it doesn't matter how much marketing you put into it, the product won't last.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Hype Up Your Product Until It's Perfect
I agree with the article. I feel that it is best to try out a product and see how your customers perceive it and know if it needs to be adjusted before trying to take it large scale. You could potentially waste much more money trying to promote a bad product than the initial test market and also you lose company image when you fail on a large scale.

I can understand why they would say focus on your product and let your great product do the talking. Thats not all that true in my opinion. Marketing is just as important because how is it going to get out there to the consumer. The focus should be on the product ,but if you as the company dont put the positive messages out their. Who is going to put it out that you have a great product. Negative influences travel alot faster than positive. As the company you have to make sure you set the standards for your product.

This article makes a good point. Before you broadcast your business, make sure it's fully ready. If you focus too much on getting the word out there about your product, it will take away from your goal of improving it first. You should take the time to make sure your product is great before you start sharing it. Often times we get so excited about our product that we want to hurry and let everyone know about it, but we need to take a step back and see if it's really ready to be broadcasted or not.

I agree with this article to a point. I think that focusing too much on marketing and advertising can distract any manager from the overall mission of the company, however, I do think that getting your name and product's name out there is still a relatively important way of ensuring that your product does well. Focusing too much on one thing is bad in all aspects of business, in reality. However, if all you are doing is hyping up your business, in the end, that's all it will be. It's important to invest time and energy into helping your product grow and become a better fit for your target market.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Hype Up Your Product Until It's Perfect
When introducing a new product to the market, you don't want to spend too much time marketing. This article suggests that a great product will market itself. Making improvements to your product or service is the most important thing to focus on. If you try to push your product onto consumers might not respond in a positive way. The more you brag about your product and talk it up, the higher you are setting the bar for yourself. Let consumers do all the marketing for you. Once your product is perfected, consumers will spread the word. Word of mouth is the best advertisement and its free! If you hype up your product too much, it may seem too good to be true and consumers may become skeptical.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Hype Up Your Product Until It's Perfect
This article reinforce my idea of having little faith with Marketing. I used to hate marketing but of course with time and different environment that has change. I believe that a good product sells itself, if a product is good it is easy for anybody, marketer will only need to remain customers about the products. Of course if a products is not good marketers will do all kinds of ads but the sales may still go down.

71 INSTANT MBA: Don't Hype Up Your Product Until It's Perfect
You do not want to rush a product out into the marketplace before it is ready. The worth thing a company can do is put out a product that has a lot of flaws. I know the consumers want the next big thing as soon as possible; but if it flops, it is possible people will lose faith in your future products. Even if it takes longer make sure your product is perfect before releasing it.
