Instant MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One I agree with this article because leader shouldn’t hide anything from their employees. When leaders hide things than the employee have a hard time trusting them. Leaders have a right to keep things to themselves but they should always want to keep their employees in the loop.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
This article makes me think back to my old job and my managers who were complete opposites. One manager was completely transparent while the other was 'mysterious' so to say. Being a transparent manager allows employees to gain a feel for your personality and find qualities about you that they can relate to or look up to. A transparent manager should have the same attitude towards their company and employees throughout their career. Transparent managers are more structured and easier to approach, from my experience. The 'mysterious' manager I worked with at this particular job was so unpredictable. Some days he would be in a good mood and would lend a helping hand. Other days, he was very withdrawn and intimidating, allowing himself to become critical of his surroundings and employees. I never knew how to approach him with a problem or concern, in fear of his reaction. It was hard to distinguish his relationship with the company. Many times I felt he was just there for a paycheck and wasn't concerned with the growth or culture of the company. Being a transparent manager can be beneficial in wasy such as attracting like-minded talent, gaining respect of employees and avoiding corporate mistakes.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
This is a great article and align with the book that i am currently ready "be yourself everybody else is already take" . People work so hard to become somebody else , some end up drying as a copy which makes it scary. Be yourself is the best gift you can give to yourself and others. People appreciate you as a person and not a copy of someone else. Be yourself will help you develop confidence in yourself and use your unique way passionately and love the real "you" that God created.

I love the main point of this article; be a transparent leader. I cannot stand leaders who are sketchy/mysterious. Being a transparent leader can help you gain employees' respect, protect against corporate mistakes and attract like-minded talent. Clark says, "Whether it's in person or leveraging social media, it's more essential than ever for leaders to embrace transparency." I like her way of thinking. Transparency will get you a lot of respect from your employees as well as your customers.

I think that being a "transparent leader" helps employees view you as a real person, instead of being fearful of your leadership. Being transparent allows others to be more honest with you and creates a more relaxed work environment. It also makes other feel apart of the company and have someone to model after.

"Be a transparent leader, not a mysterious one"
I've worked with some mysterious managers before. They seemed very aloft from all employees. Then when they were "randomly" fired, I found out exactly why. They had been stealing and doing some other "shady" dealings. So from now on, anytime I come across a manager that seems mysterious, I instantly assume the worse about them. That doesn't make for good employees. Managers need to be transparent so employees will be able to trust and respect them.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
To me a leader that is transparent enables a culture for open ideas and free sharing of thoughts. Whereas a mysery leader can come across as directive and make the employees feel that they are only told what to do and have no input on their actions. I agree with Dorie that a transparent leader can help gain employee respect and help avoid corporate mistakes. If everyone has a place to include their input better decisions can be made. Like the saying goes, two head are better than one.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
Transparency is a great quality that a leader can possess. It makes you trustworthy. It also allows the employees to follow exactly what you are intending to do. By being transparent, leader can develop a trusting relationship and be more effective than the one who is mysterious and unpredictable.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I first hand know the complications and struggles of a nontransparent boss. Without knowing how a boss truly feels or operates makes it very difficult to please him/her. These type of bosses often times become easily annoyed because their expectations are not being met. The only problem is that employees do not directly know their expectations.

Dorie Clark says that transparency leader are in a person's (through speeches, meetings, or one-on-one interactions) or leveraging social media, it's more essential than ever for leaders to embrace transparency. If you can get a transparency leader in your work place, it can motivate your employees who work inside the business.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
The promise of transparency is usually one that is not very transparent. HA! Yet those people who are themselves and honest in all aspects are usually transparent. People may be intrigued by those who are quiet, reserved, and aloof but they are generally not trusted. Trust comes from transparency and transparency comes from trust. Trust is essential for long term business success and leadership. So it is imperative to be trustworthy and transparent if you want to ensure a lasting relationship with employees, vendors, and customers.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
Leaders should not be someone who people that work for them do not understand or aare unable to relate to. Instead, a leader should be transparent to all those he/she might anything to do with. By doing so, the leader will gain greater respect as well as many other benefits.

As a manager and as an employee, I don't think being transparent or being mysterious will make you any more or less likeable. In order to be comfortable in essentially any situation, they must be comfortable in their own skin. To be comfortable in their own skin, they must be themselves. Someone who is genuine and understanding and relatable will have more success as a manager than someone employees look at as being phony and fake.

Being transparent helps the business flow well. Making everything clear will help everyone understand better. If everyone understands everyone can succeed together. Being transparent will gain success and respect.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One Agree but in a way i don't agree, Yes you should be a transparent leader if you feel that the best option if not be the leader that you want to be and not what everybody else want you to be. Yeah, you may look apart but if what you doing is working than who care what other people are think and feel. You were hired to do a job and you will do it your way or someone else what ever works best.
