INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
Transparency is a positive trait that every leader should possess. In my opinion, employees would feel more safe working in a company where their bosses foster trust and transparency. This would help workers cope better with stress at work because they know what to expect from their managers. Also, transparency would help managers build a closer relationship with their employees, and I believe this would be priceless since all workers can be better aligned with the goals of the organization, and therefore, the performance of the entire business would be higher.

It is very important for leader to be transparent. This allows for a work place where communication is valued and helps build a relationship amongst employees and employees and leaders. A leader should set an example for their employees. They also should create a work culture that has respect and values impute from their employees. When this type of leadership is in place, there tends to be less turn over and more productivity.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I believe that being a transparent leader is very essential to help develop a team. My current manager is very transparent and is somewhat vulnerable with our team. These characteristics build a lot of trust within our team and allow the team members to behave in the same way. There is no fear of being wrong when working with each other and the team is open and collaborates on items that we need to collaborate on. This allows the team to get a lot of ideas on the table and work to the best solution.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
No one wants a leader that is mysterious or unpredictable. As a leader you should want your employees to feel safe and comfortable around you. Not being a transparent leader will lead to employees not feeling safe enough to trust you. In any relationship, business or personal, without trust you have nothing. As a leader your employees should be able to communicate with you without fearing your unknown reaction. Being a transparent leader will help you build a strong relationship with your employees. This article would be a great read for all leaders.

Instant MBA: Be a Transparent Leader, Not a Mysterious One Being a transparent leader is very important. I feel that being transparent will help foster and nurture the rise of your business. Transparency allows workers to feel safer and work more efficiently as opposed to being a mysterious leader. Another fact is the level of communication generated between having a transparent leader versus a mysterious one. The communication level between employees and a mysterious leader is very negative and unsure, whereas the communication level between a transparent leader and employees is very trustworthy and positive. While being transparent may have some ‘grey’ areas, it generates more superior results than being mysterious.

INSTANT MBA: You Need To Accept Everyone's Failures
Failures are what the success possible. Every successful business has failed at something along the way. Use the failures to learn and develop new opportunities. We gain so much more when we fail, that the journey is what we need to experience to get to success. The jar is always half full, so take what we learned and keep pushing forward. It's the failures that make us stronger in world. Learning from all failures and keep an open mind when you see failures, it's our opportunity to absorb the findings and maybe just help you discover the next big thing.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I agree with the article in that it is important for your employees to know what kind of leader you are. You don't want to come off as someone who looks like he is entitled to everything he has or what he does. Instead, focus on being a leader that people feel they can come to you for anything. Especially make sure you don't come off as a leader that everyone fears. I would like for my employees to feel that they can rely on me for anything, and that they can trust me with their ideas.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I wish that most managers would take the advice of this article. Employees need to feel comfortable and confident in being able to come up to you with any kind of questions or concerns. I think it's important to get to know your employees so they can be more comfortable with you and it's a good way for your employees to better respect you. Having the respect of your employees is one of the most important things in business.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One I agree with this article. A leader should let his employees know exactly what he is trying to accomplish and not hide anything. This will go a long way, building trust between employee and leader would make employees more comfortable working harder for their leader but if a leader is mysterious then employees may feel uncomfortable doing some things. Employees may not trust that leader as much, thinking he is hiding something and wondering why he can't or choose not to share it with everyone.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
At my last job, one of my bosses was very transparent and the other wasn't at all. I obviously loved working with the one that was more because he actually talked to me about the business. He would ask me about ways we could make a task better or easier for other employees. In certain situations he would give me more authority to run things the way I saw them and he would comment on it afterwards, whether it would be good or bad. As for the other boss, he just wanted things done his way and that was it. As a leader you need to be able to take in what other people say and respond in a positive way if you want your employees respect and for your business to grow.

Alt link 60: INSTANT MBA: You Need To Accept Everyone's Failures
Failures can be a good thing. The ability to learn and innovate can come from a failure in some area of the corporation. However, if your corporation is commiting failures and not learning from them then those detractors are being proved right. It is not a bad thing to hold someone responsible for a failure, but simply firing them is no way to handle it. Makeing them examine what has happened and provide alternative courses of action can be better than simply punishing someone.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
Being transparent only works if you cannot find a way to be charismatic. Being a leader requires a lot of trust. Trust from your employees does not come when you are being mysterious and do not follow the rules that you set in place. Allow your workers to watch and judge what you do. Allow them to ask questions. Once you settle their initial fears, you will set a new ground with them that will let them trust you until you are no longer co-workers.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I actually disagree with this article. I believe that a good leader is one that is easily seen but not overbearing. It is important to avoid micromanaging, however an experienced, consistent and friendly face is much easier to trust and listen to. Walking through the processes of work to check on the progress of your company is a very important task that needs to be done regularly depending on the type of business.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I agree with the article, and believe that transparency is a great characteristic for a leader to possess. By being transparent, it makes you seem more honest and allows you to develop a trusting relationship with your employees and customers. Being mysterious would come off as cocky and feel belittling to others. Also, if you are truly a great leader, you want your actions to be transparent so that you employees can model their behavior after you. If you do not give them any insight as to what your doing or the reasoning behind your decision making, they will not be able to act in a similar manner, and will even feel left out and not part of the company.
