I think that having charisma is something that every leader needs to have as a skill set. It is not always easy for people to communicate well with others, and that's why being good at talking with others as well as persuading is something that can really set you apart from the rest. It is also important to be able to communicate with your employees in a good way that they understand and respect, that way they are not confused or thinking that you're never thinking of their best interests as well.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I think that being a transparent leader is very essential to help develop a team. My current manager is very transparent and is somewhat vulnerable with our team. These characteristics build a lot of trust within our team and allow the team members to behave in the same way. There is no fear of being wrong when working with each other and the team is open and collaborates on items that we need to collaborate on. This allows the team to get a lot of ideas on the table and work to the best solution. This was a good read.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
Being transparent will help you as a leader, especially if you have an open door policy. This will make you more approachable to your employees and they will not feel intimidated when they have a problem. The employees will feel that they can come to you and talk you about things and you won't act as if you are above them. Being a mysterious leader might earn a little respect, but in the long run your employees won't like you and they might feel as if you don't care about their well being which can lead to job dissatisfaction.

A personable leader is the key to a thriving business. In today's society everyone who is concerned wants you to be transparent. We see it on television daily as well as online. Everyone wants to kno what's going on and have a sense of connection with a particular person. Confidence through transparency transcends a message of trust .

Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
I find this to be super ironic since the pastor at the church I attend always says this. He puts himself as an example in front of everyone of how transparent he is which is amazing! This is important for every leader to have because they will be respected tremendously. Business leaders need this because it can draw people to come close and trust them and their will be no question for the leader's intentions; there should never be a question if they show transparency. Also, it is not a weakness, it is something great and reassuring in many cases.

Not everyone can be born into charisma. For this reason, it is important for us to be transparent. Being completely honest earns respect with people and allows them to build trust with you. The first time a customer suspects that your’e trying to be sneaky, you’ve lost them forever.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
Being yourself as a leader is incredibly important. Often leaders try to emulate another leader they have seen and effectively come off as fake. Being yourself is respected by your employees and humility goes hand and hand with being transparent. You have to be true to who you are a delegate responsibilities to others who may have the strengths that you may not have.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
A transparent leader is one that many company's like to have in their corporation. However, this is if they are open and talk with their workers. Being open and talking with your employees helps the job run a good bit smoother because the workers are never afraid to come to the leader for a problem. A mysterious leader, on the other hand would cause a little controversy because the employees would all start grouping together and trying to complete the task on their own instead of trying to figure out the leader.

I agree with the author that The term collaboration is often loosely thrown around at conferences, in meetings, and in company mission statements. Without action to back up the word, collaboration is just that: a word. Business owners should be an example of the definition. I believe that more people need to lead by example.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
It is important for a leader to be open and clear with their employees. No one wants to work for someone that they feel is hiding things from them and dishonest. I have always thought it was important to let employees know where we stand as a company and what we need to do to fix the problems we are facing.

INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
As a leader the most important element that one can bring to a team is openness. The team must be able to trust that the leader is competent and the only way for the team to be certain of the leader's competence is to either challenge it or have it demonstrated to them. This article discusses the importance of demonstrating competence to the team as a leader and I agree.

being successful is very hard because it takes so much hard work and dedication to get where you want to be and some people don’t understand that they rather just skate and take the easy way out in life trying to find as many shortcuts as they can. To be successful you have to be willing put your ego to the side so you can work with other people, you have to come off as being respectful and responsible as a person and most importantly you have to that drive and passion to become successful.

60 INSTANT MBA: Be A Transparent Leader, Not A Mysterious One
Make sure when being a leader, that you be yourself. Do put on a show in front of your employees to make them think you are a certain way. If your employees know you are the same person in and outside of work they may become more comfortable with you.
