INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
Synergy is an important characteristic of any team, and this is because the inputs of members combined altogether can be worth more than each input separately. Therefore, team leaders should always take the opinion of the team into consideration. This will benefit the organizations greatly; first, team members will be motivated to do their jobs more efficiently. Second, motivated employees translates into a high performance organization, which will bring success to the company. This article makes a good point about listening even those who don't belong to the team. There can be outsiders who genuinely are experts and want to help the team achieve its targets, so it is important to always listen and take all the information required to make the business thrive.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
I think it is very important to seek opinions from your team and also outside people with experience when it comes to launching a product or service. As a leader when you go to your team and ask for their opinions and actually take their feedback and evaluate it, this gives your team a sense of unity. There is no sense in having a team if only your opinion matters. Letting your team members have a voice of their own will definitely motivate them to do more. Having a strong alliance with your team will benefit your company tremendously. Also accepting feedback from outsiders with different experiences and areas of expertise can also benefit you, your team, and your company.

INSTANT MBA: 'You Have To Be Willing To Do What Other People Aren't'
A great article. I think it's important as a business owner to have an exit plan. You must know when to sell and when to do more. It's a balancing act to determine, but successful business owners have a plan. This plan can be changed but not to have one will set you up for failure. Business owners need to work the hardest, they set the example for all other employees especially in the start up process. The successful ones lead by example, this attitude trickles down the ladder in the workplace and can make or break a company.

Instant MBA: Your Opinion Isn’t the Only One That Matters I really think this article is a reality check for those leaders who are very one minded. It is okay to hear what others think about your plan. Sometimes hearing feedback (both negative and positive) helps your business become more innovative. Whether you believe it or not, the feedback of others from within your circle and those who are outsiders are all crucial to your business decisions. Listening to what others have to say also shows how strong of a leader you truly are, because sometimes bosses and managers alike aren’t able to intake the constructive criticism from others. Being one minded and relying upon your own personal input will slowly destroy your business.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
No one can be a one man army, and by that you must take into consideration everyone else's opinion when it comes to business. You simply can't have only one opinion for the business, you need to know what the other employees think about what they are working on. Their opinion matters just as much as yours does. I feel that some of the managers that had to help my store get back into shape didn't listen to other opinions very much, just on what they felt was the best. Luckily, they were only temporary managers and weren't there for long.

Alt link 62: INSTANT MBA: 'You Have To Be Willing To Do What Other People Aren't
Business, much like in chess, in order to win you have to think several steps ahead. You have to not only develop a product, but also decide how you will get it to the consumer. You need to be able to follow up a great idea with an even greater idea. You have be prepared for a new employee if a current one decides to leave the company. You have to be able to pay the bills in the short run while finding money to cover bills in the long run. A good manager can see where the company will be several years from now not just several days from now.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
No one is an expert at everything. There will always be someone smarter than you or better than you at something. You must listen and learn from these people so you can run your business the best way possible. Take in whatever knowledge you possibly can and implement it into your business. Trying to do everything yourself will have you thinking one way only. You need other peoples input because they might see certain things from a different perspective. Be able to open up your mind to different opinions.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
The most annoying thing in life is when someone asks you for an opinion and then don't listen to what you have to say. Once your opinion strays from what they were thinking, they tune you out. Sometimes their idea is a lot better because they have had more time to think about it. Other times, they need to listen to what you are saying because they don't always think logically because they idea is so exciting. Taking advice is a level of maturity that everyone reaches and wishes that they had it sooner. Learn from others mistakes and listen to what they have to offer.

A manager should never allow themselves to believe that their opinion is superior to everyone. Being open minded and having a good sense for right and wrong is a much better way to interpret a situation. Listening to everyone’s opinion gives you the opportunity to form your own thoughts based from what you know, what you are hearing and your own experiences. Keeping yourself from becoming too egotistic can allow for a easier flow of information and ultimately create a happier atmosphere because everyone’s opinions have meaning.

Managers and owners should always be open to opinions and suggestions from other people, even if they are outsiders. If someone has a comment about your product that you don't really like then you shouldn't just ingnore him but try to actually listen to what is being said. There are many managers and owners who never listen to anyone becuase they are overwhelmed by the amount of power they have. If it's not their own idea or the idea is coming from someone that they are friends with, then it's not acknowledged even if it's a great idea.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
It's extremely important to listen to the opinions of others before starting a business. You don't necessarily have to take the advice from all of them but it will only benefit you in the long run. It's also important because it can allow you to hire more people who think more like you and your business will only thrive when you have employees who share the same beliefs.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
I believe it is important in any team to get input from all of the individuals involved. My boss never tries to get input from his management team, when we are the ones who are actually in the restaurant. We work much more closely with the crew, yet we get no input on their performance evaluations. During our manager meetings, which are supposed to be an opportunity for us to get together and collaborate ideas, he rambles the entire time and never let's us talk. This has really weakened our team because he makes us feel as if our opinions are not important.

I like the idea of having experts in several different fields as leaders. I agree with what the article said when it says that if you have several teams who have experts in each field you will be a stronger company as a whole. I believe team work is important in a business and when you have strong teams, your company will run smoothly. As a leader you should help put your teams together and facilitate communication throughout your business so that the company can work together and be successful.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
It is very important when working with a team to remember that your opinion is not the only one that matters. The members of the team have each been selected based on individual knowledge and skills and it is important to listen to what they have to say. No one individual can have all of the answers or know how to do everything on their own. When working with a team, listen carefully to the input from each team member and consider what they have to say when making decisions.
