INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
When selecting a team to take on a major project, you have to have people that have different opinions but at the same time know what your goals are and what you want to achieve with the project. These people can give you different feedback on what they think of the project and what needs to be done to make the project better. This feedback is not going to all be positive, but you have to take everything that everyone says, good and bad, into consideration when taking on a major project. It will only make the project better in the end.

When considering employees to put together in a team to work on a project, you must pick the team very carefully. First, you must analyze the project and what kind of skills you will need. It is important to, in a way, interview the employees you are thinking to put on your team and make sure they understand the project and the part they will play in it and also that you understand their skills so that you can utilize them the best way for the project. Give employees a chance to put their input and opinions in as a part of the planning process and they will feel invested in and truly care about the project and completing it successfully.

If you work in numbers, the possibilities are endless. If you never take into account the opinions of others, your business will suffer. Being able to accept negative criticism and turn it into something beneficial could work in your favor. You're not going to be an expert at everything, you can try but, if all else fails seek outside sources. Through my ups and downs, I've tried to do things on my own and my way so, I'm trying to accept the help I've avoided for so long.

Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
Before I relate this to business, I want to share something I've learned and lived by. The church I am at has taught me when I have an opinion or decision to make to not only look at mines but to first go to God, the community, and then one's self. We need to make sure it is the right one and we need to make sure it has a good outcome.
For businesses, it is good to hear what everyone else has to say about one's ideas because if they respond with concern or negativity, chances are that there is a good reason for their thoughts to be that way. Same way in the every day life when it comes to relationships we ask out close friends and family for their opinion of the significant other.

If you don’t give employees a reason or purpose for what they’re doing they are going to feel unmotivated and exhausted. It is important to tell each individual what they are doing and why they are doing it because if they lose focus of the big picture they will lose passion. Passion is important because without it employees will treat working for you as just a way to make money which will lead to a lack of motivation and a lack in efficiency which means a decrease in profits.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
Leaders must be humble enough to take into account other peoples input into account. It creates a greater sense of team and not dictatorship. Leaders who ask for participation get more out of their employees because they feel more respected. When people feel respected, they in turn respect you by working harder and treating you well. Realizing that others opinions may be correct sometimes is a great thing for leaders to do.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
Sometimes your opinion alone is not the best opinion for the company. Sometimes what's needed is opinions from outsiders that don't see what goes on inside of the company. Leaders tend to take their opinions because that's how leaders are supposed to be. They are needed to be head strong and unwavering in their decisions. But sometimes just handing something down to other areas of management to look at and give their opinions on will help broaden the spectrum.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
This article is one that I find extremely important. I think a lot of the time; individuals forget just how important it is to get feedback. It doesn't matter what the feedback is on, it is always important. When building a product it is important to see what others think of it. It is vital to get information on the product from multiple directions before the product is launched. Having others, who are exerts in different areas, is always very important. They see sides of a situation that you may have not thought about. When a team has members that are expert in different areas, that team is a strong one. Different teammates bring different resources to the table and that is vital.

INSTANT MBA: Your Opinion Isn't The Only One That Matters
I agree that it is important to evaluate all feedback in business matters. I try to listen to everyone's opinions but I choose carefully which ones I take into consideration. It is also important not to have too many cooks in the kitchen so to say. Too many ideas has a way of convoluting the original objective.
