INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Not being emotionally attached to our own venture is something hard to achieve. In most cases, we decide to start a business not just because we want to make money but also because we have an idea that we love, and we want to turn this idea into something tangible, something we will be working on with passion. Moreover, as long as we remain "in love" with our business, we will have the motivation to make it thrive. However, I understand the advice given in this article. The experience of Kathleen King was really tough, but she managed to move on and succeed on her own. In my personal opinion, we should have at least some emotions toward our business; nevertheless, if the company fails for any reason, we need to be able to recover and start over. The story of King is very inspiring, and it is an example of perseverance and dedication, which are qualities every entrepreneur must have.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
It is important to have passion for your work, but you also must know when to emotionally detach yourself from the situation. It is often difficult to detach from the situation emotionally, but there are times that if you respond emotionally to the situation you will do more damage than good. It is important to stay focused and make decisions based on the data presented.

Instant MBA: Don’t Be Emotionally Attached To The Business Being emotionally attached to a business will do nothing for you but cause stress and heartache. The best way to open and run a successful business is to remove the emotions and become firm and steady to your word. Most people look at this as being no fun, and heartless. But if you really look at it, all you’re doing is protecting what is yours. People would learn a lot if they stop being so emotional, pick up the pieces and move on! Great Read!

It is important to be passionate about your business but not let your emotions get in the way of your business. Your emotions can get in the way of running of business which can affect your business relationships among employees as well as your over all productivity of your business. An effective leader knows how to handle their emotions while still being passionate about their business.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
I believe that anyone starting a business from scratch will definitely have a lot of passion and emotion for their business, but it is very important to be able to detach yourself emotionally in order to run your business without being overwhelmed when things go completely different from what you intended. As long as you continue to be passionate about your business and your brand without being emotionally attached you will be just fine. And if something were to go wrong it will be easier for you to pick up the pieces and move on and hopefully build a more successful business like Kathleen did in the article. It's basically like this, if you are in a relationship with someone and that person decides to break up with you, if you are not emotionally attached to that person it will definitely be much easier for you to move on.

INSTANT MBA: Negative Attitude Spreads Throughout A Company Fast
I am a firm believer that if someone is not a "good fit" with a company, don't waste any time to let them go. The longer you keep the bad attitude, the more harm it's causing other employees. You can't always determine a match within 20 minutes of an interview, so have weekly or monthly meetings with problem employees and discuss the issues. Make sure to document these meetings and have employee sign that they understand. Being honest is the best policy. Negativity has no place in the workplace, if kept there to long, it becomes contagious and detrimental to the business. Good managers see and address the negativity sooner than later.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
This may be a little difficult if you start a business from the ground up. Keeping a business afloat and not thinking of it as "your baby" is a very hard thing to do. It will take a great deal of passion to keep your dream to yourself and to be able to pick it back up whenever the company goes sour. Make sure that you have your heart in the business, but don't get too attached because you might not be able to go on.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
You should always be passionate about what you do, but you should separate your business and personal emotions. You should't get emotionally attached to your business because then it will consume your life. There's time to work and there's time to relax. If you to emotionally invested in your business, it will be all you think of.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Being emotionally attached to your business can really set you back. You need to be emotionally attached enough to get the job done, but after that, let it go and move on. Making those around you your personal kids and caring for everyone and everything will make you miss the larger picture of what is occurring. Keep moving, keep working, and keep succeeding.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
It is hard not to be emotionally attached to a business that you have started from scratch. This is great advice for the world we live in today, most people are all about themseleves and what they can get to benefit them and not how you can be more appreciative. So I would take heed to this advice and know that if some relationships fail, like business relationships I will not get depressed about it I will just move on to make or do something bigger and better. Sometimes change is for the best.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
You should be allowed to be emotional about a business you start from practically nothing, but you shouldn't revolve your whole life around it. I've seen people do this and it's ruined a marriage and eventually caused the business to close down. Being too attached to a business can cause you to do things and make decisions that have no benefit to the company at all; just like the business in the article. It's important to be able to separate your business from your personal life which will reduce the stress and allow you to make better decisions.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
It is easy for a manager to become emotionally attached to their business. Because every action and command the manager gives reflects the success/failure of a business there is a sense of pride that interconnected inside the manager and their job. Everyone wants to represent themselves as successful but when profits decline, a manager must make a sound decision to keep themselves calm and abide by what they know is the right thing to do as a manager. If they allow their emotions to take over, it can cause actions to be taken that are not in the favor of the company but more to protect the reputation of the manager.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
I think that by taking the emotion out of creating a business, it allows you to be more level headed and successful. We have a manager at our store who is very emotional and allows the stress of the shift to bring him down. This causes his shifts to become out of control and not run properly. I never allow myself to become emotional while working, and always keep cool even in the toughest situations. This allows me to run great, successful shifts. It is important to be able to separate emotions from business and stay focused on performing your job to the best of your ability. I hope that someday I can open my own business and keep emotions out of it, as the author has suggested. I know that this will be more difficult with a business I created from the ground up, but I believe it will aid in my success if I do so.
