INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
King's story is truly an emotional one. How sad it is too be pushed out of your own business by partners who you thought were your friends as well as colleagues. Good for her, though, for making her second business a huge success! I don't understand, though, how King was able to remain emotionally detached from her new business. I don't see how I would be able to do so. If I put all of my funds and energy into my very own business and gave it my all in an attempt to make it a success, I don't see how it would be humanly possible for me to remain emotionally detached. King's advice makes sense in the way that she's correct that IF you don't get emotionally attached then if/when the business fails, you won't be as emotionally destroyed. However, as I've said, I don't see how you could prevent yourself from becoming attached when you're pursuing a dream.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To the Business
Creating and running a company that you are emotionally attached to does not seem like a good idea. Personally, I believe that if you are attached to it you will always feel like it is doing great, and it may really not be. That can be harmful. Being attached to it will put someone in denial, and they will not want to change what is wrong. Eventually that will run the business into the ground. If you create a business and not become attached to it, you will only care about the business being successful. Therefore, you would do whatever it takes to better the company. Being emotionally attached to business may not be bad in the beginning, but if things take a turn for the worse, you may be in trouble.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Emotional detachment is important to making money. Just because a business grows on you and you find favor in it does not mean it is the best money making option. Kathleen did not dwell on the fact that she was forced out of her business, she knew the necessary steps to start a new one and she did. She probably knew certain mistakes not to make again due to the fact that she had done this before. She is a perfect example of moving on and not having attachment issues.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
This was a good article and i believe it can help alot of managers out in the work force. By not being emotinally attached to the business it will allow people to make more rationally decisions and look at different situations when making decisions and analyze possible outcomes. I believe this article will aid in my career. However I also believe its easier said than done, and that almost any manager or owner will be emotionally attached becuase they want to be successful.

I agree with this article. Having too much emotion in a business can create more stress than necessary. You just can not take comments and decisions personally. Remaining calm and not emotional can help you have a clear mind in making sound and wise decisions.

Instant MBA: Don’t Be Emotionally Attached To The Business People need have to have strong passion and excitement about their business if they plan to work from the bottom up. It take a lot for someone to start a business form the bottom up and with that comes stress and failure but people cant just quit because of that. People should continue to be passionate about what they want to do with their life and shouldn’t give up on it.

This article talks about not being emotionally attached to your business. Kathleen King says, "It's the advice I always give when people ask: take the emotion out, and you'll be surprised at how less consuming your business will be and how much easier it is to execute." King tells her story and how not being emotionally attached helped her. When her partners decided to team up and push her out, instead of being emotional, she stayed strong and started a new business all over again. The bakery she was removed from failed and her business is more successful than her old one ever was.

"Don't be emotionally attached to the business"
Emotions should not be present in the business world. You can't get sore when a business deal doesn't go your way. You may get upset about it, which would be normal, but you don't need to have that weigh you down. I like Kathleen's ending quote "take the emotion out, and you'll be surprised at how less consuming your business will be and how much easier it is to execute." It does make sense that running a business will be less stressful for you when you cut out emotion. I don't mean you shouldn't be passionate, but you should take less offense to the things don't don't work out in your favor. Nobody likes a sore loser.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Emotion places a huge role in everyone’s life. It is part of everything we do even when we don't want it to be. The last place that emotion needs to be present is within the working world. This is a true receipt for failure. It may be hard, but sometimes it’s best to try to leave all emotion out of business. This takes away the stress and hurtful feelings toward a situation and the individuals involved. When we forget about our emotions, we think of one thing and that one thing is success. We do whatever is needed to succeed and that is what every business person needs to desire.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
King sought out a way to be more equal with her partners because she felt it would be fair. However, that decision based on her emotions about the situations lead to some stressful events. By not making such decisions, she might have remained the primary owner of her original business and not had to go through the process of starting a new one. By not becoming emotionally attached to a business, the owner can focus more on running it and makign the business money.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Hang On To Your Past Success For Too Long I think using the work "emotional attachment" seems to me as a wrong word for this case, emotional attachment is what one need to make put more effort, focus and make money, which i believe were essential in this case. Especially if it is your own business, then you work hard to see everything work out successful. In this case,i believe that the author love the business and could do everything to success.I think the main agenda in this article is that in life, there are failure and we should not let failure/falls to pulls us down. when you fail, you need to pick yourself up and find a way to move on.

Kathleen King says, "It's the advice I always give when people ask: take the emotion out, and you'll be surprised at how less consuming your business will be and how much easier it is to execute." Ok, I don't know what to say about this article because some people told me getting emotional attach to your business is helpful and they had good points. But Kathleen also have a good point of view as well so I don't know. LOL

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Putting a lot of emotions in the business can be stressful and will make your job harder. It is ok to be somewhat attached, but there are things that need to be let go and move forward. If for example things to go wrong, a manager should stay in place and not panic. They need to think things clearly and rationally and not add emotions to it, this way the problem will be solved the most effective way. If they respond with emotions they would act without thinking about the problem rationally and probably cause a bigger problem than it already was.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
This article is inspiring and is proof that not being emotionally attached to your business is an asset. The fact that Kathleen King didn't not take it personal when her former partners kicked her out of her own business of 23 years, allowed her to persevere and become even bigger and better than before. If King would have been emotionally invested into her bakery, she probably would have "thrown in the towel" and let this get the best of her. If you become too attached to your business, you will drive yourself into the ground. I think unnecessary stress comes along with being emotionally attached to your company. If your business does not prosper than try something else. Don't take it personally. As a manager or business owner you should take hold of your pride and focus on your goals and dreams no matter what.
