INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business I think this is a hard thing to do because whoever starts their own business will probably be emotionally attached to it. These emotions can get in the way of the business if the owner is too emotionally attached so that's why it's best to try and keep your emotions out of it. I feel that emotions for your business are important and that nobody can completely remove their emotions because if they did then they wouldn't care if their business failed or not.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Wow, this article was really inspiring and offers a great piece of advice. I think most business owners think of their business as their "baby" and it consumes their entire life. Being overly emotionally attached can create lots of havoc in several elements of the company. It can bring down the work culture of your office because the owner can become closed minded and isn’t opened up to other suggestions, which will lead to lose of income most likely. It will also create too much stress in the business owner’s personal life and probably end relationships.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
When owning your own business it is a good thing to care about your business, however you shouldn't become emotionally attached. It's always a good thing when you are interested in the success of your business but sometimes when emotions form it can cause problems. Emotions should be kept out of the business world because so many things can happen. If you let your emotions get the best of you then your business may start to fail. Personally, I think if your business is starting to fail you shouldn't give up if you are passionate about what you are doing. If you try your best for your business to become successful then I think it eventually will.

I’m not exactly sure that the author picked a good title for this article. I believe the whole reason for Kathleen’s huge success was fed by an emotional drive. Not sure……..this article kind of confused me. For instance, passion is an emotion, and without it, it’s hard to have a drive to succeed in you business venture.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Well, everyone wants to hear about people getting back on their feet and succeeding after a sucker punch like Kathleen suffered, but this is a different look on the situation. Instead of seeing it as an emotionally traumatic experience that she needed to doggedly get up from, she goes the complete other direction and says take the emotion out. So, instead of letting the emotions of it all get involved, she just moved on and tried again, and is now much much more successful than her first unlucky attempt.

Alt link 44: INSTANT MBA: Negative Attitude Spreads Throughout A Company Fast
No one wants to work for a company they don't like. No company wants a worker who doesn't want to be there. Unfortunatly companies and workers stick it out because the worker doesn't want to be unemployed and the company doesn't want to lose a worker and have to fill an empty position. However, I would place the burden of resonsiblity on the worker, because they can be looking for a new job, and the company can not just fire a worker out of the blue.

This is a tough one. After you take all those financial losses I do not how you can pick up the pieces and wager it all again, The mentality does not leave but the frustrations of the money loss would get to me.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Don't ever become too attached to materialistic things, as important as you might think they are, they can always be replaced. As the article says, King was able to recover from being pushed out of her own bakery, and start a new one to become more successful than she ever would have been. This s because she didn't dwell on emotional circumstances that were out of her control, rather she fought past them and used them as fuel to stand back up and eventually prosper. Her determination and motivation are signs of a true leader.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business Everyone wants to represent themselves as successful but when profits decline, a manager must make a sound decision to keep themselves calm and abide by what they know is the right thing to do as a manager.I think that by taking the emotion out of creating a business, it allows you to be more level headed and successful. You should always be passionate about what you do, but you should separate your business and personal emotions

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
While I agree with this article, I also think that is hard to do especially when you own your own business. You build relationships with regular customers as well as vendors, etc. You should try to remain neutral and not get too attached to anyone. This is probably a lot harder then it sounds. Building relationships with your customers is what sometimes creates repeat business. I guess the key is don't get to involved and remember that business is business.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
I can see how not being emotionally attached to your business could be a positive thing. Kathleen king was pushed out of her own bakery and if she had been overly emotionally attached, she would have taken this loss to heart and it could have hindered her from taking another chance in the future. Failures teach you what not to do the next time you attempt. If you are overly attached to something and it fails, it will hold you back from giving it all you've got a second time.

INSTANT MBA: Don't be Emotionally Attached To The Business
When you start your own business it is good to be passionate about what you are doing, and really be excited but at the same time you need to know when to draw the line. If you were to fail like the lady did in the article, it would take more of an emotional toll on you and even your family if you get to attached. It is also easier to look at the failure as an opportunity and not a loss cause when you are less attached to the business.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business
Wow, that had to have been hard for the owner to be pushed out of a business she started but I know it happens. I always thought you should have some type of emotional attachment to your business but after hearing that I guess it's best you don't. I imagine it helps with taking chances as somethings fail and you have to pick back up where you started from.

Most managers are not emotionally attached to the business. Being emotionally attached to the business will get in the way of success. Your business should be your job, but you should not let it control your life. Letting it control your life will cause trouble in the work area and in your social life.

INSTANT MBA: Don't Be Emotionally Attached To The Business I am a firm believer in being passonate about your work. But their is a time when you can be over attached to your work. Being passonate about work is a great feature some people have but you do need to stop and focus your energy toward other things. You should never focus 100% of your time and mind to one task. Your emotions will run high if you are overly emotional about your business.
