Ignoring ones competitors and their methods is an practice a business should be affiliated with. You should always want to know what your competitors do for their employees so that you can do better for yours. Also, companies who do not recognize their employees and efforts and work often lose those employees to competitors. Finally, a company should always have a handbook as it removes and uncertainty and makes clear everyone's accountability.

Top Three HR Mistakes Companies Make
Yes. Yes. Yes. Companies sometimes do not realize how important these three things are to employees. A handbook is crucial in directing employees to the company’s overall goals, mission, and values. An employee can refer to a handbook in order to make valuable decisions for the company while meeting company criteria. It helps the employee know what is expected! Secondly, praise is important but so is constructive criticism. An employee needs to know when they do a good job and when they are lacking. If these two are balanced you give an employee the foundation in which to reach their top potential. And of course, competitive pay is a must.

TITLE - Top Three HR Mistakes Companies Make Three thing that companies ignores. The first is competition, yes i agree. Many companies failed to attract and retain high skilled employees, some companies think they can always find new hires cheaply and fail to take care of those they have. First consequences, they spend lots of money to train new hires who will not stay in the company for long time. The second mistake, companies failed to bring up constructive criticism which is very important to company and to employees. he third mistake, companies failed to create employee handbook. Of course employees like to know how they are performing, rules, etc and handbook acts as a remainder.

Honestly don't worry about and like they video state if you feel that they are not just look for another job where you feel comfortable.

Ignoring the competition can be harmful because your employees can always find another job that they will be treated better or get more benefits. Know what your competitors are doing and try to be pretty even with them in order to keep your talented employees. Be sure to interact with your employees. You should praise them or correct them when necessary. Workers who feel important and included will be more motivated to get their work done. Be sure to have a handbook so your workers are aware of your missions and goals. Knowing these things lets them know what their efforts are working towards. It is important to be aware of these three things when working in HR.

Ignoring the competition is a mistake many HR groups make. Knowing what your competition is doing the same or different is important so you can find your place in the market and improve where you see you lacking. Another mistake HR makes is withholding criticism or praise. Praise can be the determining factor that makes someone put in the extra effort to make the next big breakthrough. And if there is no form or recognition or praise when someone does something well, people may tend to feel unappreciated and not work as hard. Also, HR must put out an employee handbook. AS elementary as it seems, it is important to be able to solve disputes or clearly communicate things to the workforce through the handbook.

Having a handbook doesn't seems that important to me because most people don't read it anyways. everyone should already know what they can and can not do. On the other hand, withholding criticism and praise, and ignoring the competition can cause problems. employees need to know what they are doing wrong and right to grow. And you should always pay attention to your competition in order to stay on top.

TITLE - Top Three HR Mistakes Companies Make
The three HR mistakes are important and I am sure there are more than three that can be easily identified. Constructive criticism and acknowledgment of efforts are needed to satisfied employees. These two can be passed through colleagues and managers not just HR. Without knowing that our efforts are making a difference we don't know if there is a point to work hard. Constructive criticism is like a guide for continually advancing skills and knowledge.

Companies need to realize the importance of those 3 things that most HR companies are not doing. You should never ignore the competition. In ignoring salary competition, you are missing out on some of the best talent out there who could be applying for a job at your company. Secondly, is withholding criticism. Employees need constructive criticism so they are aware of what they are doing wrong and areas they are lacking in. However, on the other hand, you must make sure to praise them when they are doing good. People will work harder if they are better recognized at work. And lastly, every company should have an employee handbook. This gets rid of the uncertainty employees may have. It will give them the right tools they need to be held accountable for.

This video makes several good points. I think that if companies would offer better salary packages, especially to those who are fresh out of college that it would make a huge difference on how long that employee stays with the company. If you make it known that you value that employee then they will give you 100 percent.

TITLE - Top Three HR Mistakes Companies Make
While in a company dealing with human resources is critical to job success for employees. I know when I achieve a goal and do a great job on a project or job task, I would like to be congratulated on what I did. If I'm saving the company alot of money over a year period, I would like a raise or something. People like to be rewarded for there good deeds. This is important to acknowledge employees do that outstanding work because they are the reason why the company is surviving in this struggling economy.

I can not even begin to understand how human resources can make these three mistakes. Everyone, including myself, wants to be properly compensated for their work so why would you not want to be competitive with your competition's rates. These are the simplest things that your company can do to satisfy employees. If I had my own business I would definitely look to provide my employees the best experience possible just like if I was still searching for a competitive job.

I definitely agree with this information. I think that the biggest thing that companies forget is their competition. People get so wound up in making money and the dollar signs that there are people out there taking their business from them, and possibly even their ideas.
