I was not very interested in this video. I am a free spirit who hates schedules, so I'm not the type of person to adhere to a strict routine. However, I can see the importance of effectively using your time so that you can get accomplish the tasks that need to get done.

I would definitely share this link with friends and colleagues. Thank you Professor! I feel in order to be organized you have to have a "To Do List" be it a calendar on your smart phone or a day planner. By having these things you make it a priority to execute everything 100% and not miss anything that is of urgency. By having these tools in place you are more efficient at work and in your own personal life. These things have made me very successful in business and as a non-traditional student.

Having a to do list calendar is a must for me. I schedule everything I need to do on my iPhone calendar since it's always with me and easy to add things throughout the day and won't forget about it. The iPhone makes it so easy to schedule your day because it has time blocks and can fit everything according to a time schedule. I think it would would be beneficial for everyone to take the time to do this, it could make a dramatic difference and make their life easier.

"Scheduling time with yourself" is an excellent way to make sure that work or other projects get done. Even giving yourself time to procrastinate can be very productive as long as you keep the appointment with yourself to complete the task.

I always use a calendar to keep up with school, because I don't want to forget things. However, I don't take it to this extreme of scheduling everything you do in your calendar, even breaks. It could be beneficial to use these techniques, because then you won't feel so bad about taking breaks. If you have the calendar, why not use it . You don't want it to go to waste.

I am really starting to like this girls input. I have gotten past the clankety clank of the tongue piercing, and really appreciate what she is saying. I am absolutely sharing her videos and have begun to follow her channel on YouTube.com I like the insight. It is so simple yet so often not done. I am going to embrace the idea of scheduling an appointment with myself so I can work on the things the other appointments have created.

The use of calendars is very important in my life. While I may only be a working student, I actually have an extremely busy life. Using a calendar helps me to keep up with everything and to make sure I do not schedule 2 things at the same time.

I normally schedule important priorities using a calendar, while the less important stuff is kept in my head. I do this because calendars can become overwhelming to look at if there is too much written on them. Thus, they are helpful when organizing and setting objectives needing completion, but only when used right; proper use of a calendar is dependent on the person! I find the scheduling of small things, such as personal allotment for free time to be bothersome. Breaking every aspect of my life down by writing "when" and "when not" I should have free time just seems stress/anxiety inducing. However, I agree with the general idea of buying and using a calendar to be good. It organizes the more important prioritizes on paper...helping with both memory and focus. I would argue against getting carried away and making everything a "priority" though.

I really liked this video. I actually already include times in my schedule for myself to get things done. However, I do not treat myself like a client so I frequently flake. I need to be better about holding myself accountable for doing things when I say I will do them. The second idea I liked from this video was purposely putting things off to deal with later. That way, the thought of the issue (i.e. finance paper for me at the moment) will not stress you out before you get to it. I have a day planner, and a mobile calendar. I have the mobile one since my schedule is always changing. These tips were very helpful and I will definitely be able to apply them.

It is always good to have your appointments and things to do written down on your calander. But sometimes your day to day plans on what you need to get done change. My work and school schedules are the same every week. But I also have so much else going on and trying to plan each assignment and study time is difficult. But like she said in the video, it is important to schedule "me" time!

Well, I found this video to be quite interesting. I have never really thought about scheduling an appointment with myself, but when you think about it, it is actually a great idea. Very often at work, I can feel bombarded with tasks and projects, and I can very easily forget to just stop and breathe (and sometimes even eat). Having a specific moment of the day where I simply put aside what I am doing for someone else and take time to think about myself, the tasks upcoming, the week I'm having, etc., I think it would make my day feel much less bombarded and cluttered with activities. This also happens with school all the time. We can get so involved in a project or assignment that we forget to take breaks, ultimately resulting in less productivity because we are not giving our brains a proper rest. Basically, take some time every day for yourself and use that time to slow your world down, take a deep breath, and motivate yourself to continue moving forward with the week or day.

I have most of my days planned out to the max. I use my calendar in my phone to write down everything I need to do that day. I put everything in there. Work, school and fun activities in my calendar so I do not forget what I need to do.

I agree with the message of this video. My planner is my best friend! Everything I need to do or any commitments ive made is in my planner. I have kept one since I was in high school and it really helps me stay on track. I would forget things constantly without it. Once you get into the habit of organizing your time and plans if becomes a routine that you appreciate and rely on for success.
