I love videos like these many things to learn. First change is good and should be done with needed. Second do not be scared to take risk because you are never going to learn and be a better company.

It’s hard making decisions but one of the things I’ve learned in life is that you can’t make everyone happy. Even though fresh fries might have turned some customers away, it can attract a whole new set of consumers. In addition, I feel like changing the fries from frozen to fresh was important to the mission of the company and even though some are unhappy with that change, I like that they would not stray from their goals.

Change is a good thing, even though it may be a hard decision to make. Making a simple change, like switching from frozen to fresh fries, can have a big impact on a company. Yes, you may lose some of your most loyal customers, but you will also gain more customers who will potentially become loyal. Sometimes change is needed in keeping up with your mission, vision, and objectives of the company.

This video basically convinces me more and more that innovation in business can include something simple like changing a process, a part of a service , a part of a product or even a style of product. The CEO talks about how hard it was to change the product, but that the merits in the long run outweighed the demerits. And that the innovation in the process of making the fries was for the long-term benefit of the customer.

Technology is a brilliant thing in all aspects of life. However, it can be used in a negative way as well. One of my classmates said today in their presentation that it is way easier for someone to do something unethical behind a computer screen rather than in front of a group of people. As long as we use technology in a positive way, we should embrace it to its fullest!

It is always a good business decision o make something better but the key is to let the public know why you made that choice and how it is better. Consumers need to know that something was done to ultimately help them. People care about themselves. I don't think they are selfish because it's a downfall. I think caring about yourself and how something benefits you personally says a lot about holding a higher standards for the things you consume. Of course I'd support a company by buying their product because they are truly interested in making money by satisfying my needs. People who don't want to understand why he made that decision don't have to eat at the Shake Shack.

Technology is ever expanding. To see how far we have come from the early 200's to now is incredible. But of course technology has its downfall it has become more easily to manipulate technology. For example Targets database got hacked and millions of people credit card info was in their hands. They were in Europe hacking the computer system, so technology is useful but in the the wrong hands it is destructive.

My video wasn't on Where Technology Can Take Us, it was on Shake Shack's decision to switch from frozen to fresh fries. Operationally, this task is more difficult. I'm sure that choice wasn't made lightly, but people prefer fresh over frozen any day.

I like the part when the speaker said "the bigger they get, the smaller they need to act." I think this is a very important concept that bigger companies deal with every day. Staying small activities including interacting with customers and listening to their comments are examples of actions that are lost as a company grows. Although it is a struggle for growing businesses to maintain a one-on-one relationship with it's customers, it is an important aspect. I also liked the speakers statement about waking up and being proud of what your company does. I agree with this entirely.

His decision to go from frozen to fresh french fries was a good one. Technology is a good thing but its not everything. We still need some thins to be personal and unique. When your business is only as unique as the machines that do everything, there doesnt leave much room for creativity and expansion. The world may be going recnologically crazy but that doesnt necessarily mean its a good thing.

If you ask anyone in business, or who has experienced life, and they will tell you that you will be faced with hard decisions each and every day. This video also incorporates the idea of changing up so that your customers don’t get bored. All in all great video.

Change comes with any job in any business anywhere at any time. Sometimes change may not be easy, but it's necessary. I work at a fast food restaurant and there has been talk of switching to fresh fries instead of frozen, but unfortunately we don't get the demand we need to be able to justify making that switch. We have changed other things, such as using fresh chicken tenders instead of frozen to compete with Cane's "fresh, never frozen" chicken tenders. Change may be good for some companies but that doesn't mean it's good for all of them.

Someone will watch this and think that it a stupid decision they have to make but being in the food industry trying decide between frozen and fresh is a big one. Some customers will like the decisions that you make where others... you could lose their business. Why someone would like the fresh over the frozen... who knows. I have had to make decisions in my business as well so I can definitely relate to this. I was using a product line on my clients that started to get very very expensive I was spending so much on product. I had t make a decision to change to a different product that worked 90% similar and that costed a little less. I t was a good choice because I saved a whole bunch of money and the best part of it the line I was using started to change there formulas in their products and stopped working as well as they use to. So in the end I won!

Small decisions such as switching from fresh to frozen fries, seems easy but its tough. The consequences of doing so are either demolishing or rewarding to a company. Most people do not deal with change that very well. So, even though that decision is the best, companies have to be prepared for quick acceptance or delayed acceptance after the changes are implemented.
