Students,
Please view and comment on this link of the day - yes, for your education, but also for the points, of course! Watch the video below:
TITLE - FastCompany - Shake Shack's CEO On The Hardest Decision He's Ever Had To Make
Then, post a comment in reply to this discussion thread. Again, what to post? Here are some ideas: + What did you take away from the video? + How does the video relate in some way to your past experience (work, as a consumer, family, school, etc.)? + How might you use these ideas in your own career?
Good luck!
David

RSA Insight - Where can technology take us?
Well we all know today's technology has made extreme strides in communication and problem solving. This video has not added any value to my education. This is because technology is entrenched in the life of nearly every person, especially those in developed countries. The value of technology can be seen by many people. Everyone already knows that it can be the driving factor in solving problems and communication. Technology will only continue to grow and become even more prevalent in every aspect of every person's life.

RSA Insight - Where can technology take us?
It is alarming to see that more technology has been revolutionized in the past 50 years than in the history of the entire world! My colleauges and I find ourselves talking about technology a very often, and we find that the rate of growth is positive, yet scary. When I was in fourth grade (1994), our class received pen pals from other countries. My pen pal was from Austria, and she and I exchanged handwritten letters for about two years. To think that in less than 20 years time, forth graders are now connecting with 'pen pals' on the Internet, through Skype and Facetime. Entire classrooms of children can interact with other classrooms across the world... beautiful, yet scary. With the growth in technology, the world has shrunk; with smartphones and tablets we figuratively can hold the world in the palm of our hand. Through resources on the Internet, apps, blogs, etc, anyone can learn and become an expert in a field in an 'open air' community. What does this mean for the future of education at the elementary, secondary, and post-secondary levels? What about small businesses? All aspects of life are directly affected by these vast technological changes and advancements, and to keep up with society, everyone must embrace these changes. The world as we know it is constantly changing. What will the next 50 years bring?

There is no question in my mind that technology will take us to the point of where our imagination can. I know this is cheesy, but the sky is literally the limit when it comes to technology. The use of this has made it to where something happening in another part of the world can be accessed by a click of a mouse. The world itself is becoming smaller because of all the access we have to technology. I have seen it in my lifetime when it comes to my parents. When smart phones and the like came out everyone older than 40 or 50 really didn't know how to use these devices, but the younger people did and helped to facilitate their learning. It makes me wonder what will happen when I become older, What kind of device will I need help to learn?

RSA Insight - Where can technology take us?
The evolution of technology is happening at an extremely fast rate. I think about it all the time. Using my cell phone to Google something is something I as a child would have never thought possible. With the changes in technology we are continually improving the way we work and the way we live. We have more knowledge at our fingertips more than ever. I can only imagine what technology will be like when my children are grown.

RSA Insight - Where can technology take us?
Technology is a big deal in society. It can take us anywhere if we let it. Technology can be used negatively or positively so just make sure it's not taking you somewhere you don't want to go.

TITLE - RSA Insight - Where can technology take us?
This video had a very positive outlook on technology. I think this view of technology should be shown more, because technology can often be viewed as the reason the world has so many problems! If technology was used more in the way the video was talking about, I think the world would be a much better place. But when people use technology in selfish ways, opportunities for people may be closed rather than being opened.

Technology has help this world in unlimited amount of way but companies have been getting hacked and loosing peoples personal information like SSN. A lady tweeted that she had just seen a fatal car crash and the man ended up being her spouse. People are extremely angry and depressed around the holidays. A glowing green alien has been seen and tape in the sky in England.

Technology has made some big leaps in recent years. It is really helpful when you know how to use it correctly. Technology can be very helpful in your business and approach problems differently than before. Although it can be helpful, technology can be something that causes you to fail if you do not know how to use it correctly. Knowing technology can make or break you in today's society.

It is intriguing how technology has been improving at an advancing rate as time goes by. It makes anyone more anxious and is encouraging for people who enjoy working with technology. This is a constant reminder that any unthinkable idea can quite possibly come to reality and your imagination doesn't have to be that far from the truth. Technology has caused us to become more connected and more in touch with our own intellect and can influence us to only advance even more.

RSA Insight - Where can technology take us? The huge steps that technology is taking every day is the reason that businesses have to constantly innovate. By making it so easy to spread and idea or business, it lowers the marketplaces for new businesses. For example, previously there could have been the same or similar business approximately 100 miles apart and they may not know the other existed. But now with advertising and electronic maps, etc., it is hard to find niche markets to fit in when the entire industry of business is so saturated.

Technology is obviously expanding and changing at an alarming rate. People must learn to embrace and adapt to changes in technology in order to keep up with the rest of the world. It also allows us to make better products with fewer resources. Overall, technology is a hugely positive thing.

RSA Insight - Where can technology take us?
Technology is moving very quickly and will continue to evolve rapidly in the future. Many people love the fact that technology evolves so quickly, but sometimes it can actually cause problems. I did a project on the 3D printing industry. The technology is amazing and it will make many businesses more efficient with the ability to print parts instead of order them. But people could eventually harness this technology to print guns or other weapons. The speed of the technological innovation must be met with increased regulation.

Technology is now. We are such an advanced market now. Technology is needed for everything in this world. Just think name one thing that you can do without technology or that doesn't use some form of technology. You probably can't think of anything. We are advanced market and the world is advancing everyday. Most private schools have went completely digital so you need technology just to attend some schools.
