Everyone must evolve along with the new technologies of today. If you do not grow with technology, then you are going to get left behind to where you cannot catch up. Businesses gain new technologies every day and if someone does not know how to work with the technology, they are most likely going to get fired and replaced with someone who can.

I agree that it is dangerous for a company not to evolve. Companies have to have a willingness to fail in order to accomplish evolving their products and services. Jeff Bezos also states that it is not enough for companies to only listen to their customers but to invent on their behalf. This was a new concept to me. I agree and feel it is important for companies to do that for their customers. Without customers and without inventing new things for them the company would not survive.

Change is inevitable, and in order to be keep up with this world's swift innovations, a business must be willing to adapt. The same adaptability is necessary for people within the business to be successful. If companies just remain the same, they will get left behind in this changing society.

I like how this video just goes straight to the main idea and elaborates from there. With the constant change of markets and customers, it is very critical that businesses continue to evolve with their products, services, and promotions. This video goes back to the age old argument of "Doing what is best in the eyes and needs of your customers." Without customers, you are going to fail. Therefore, it is critical that we listen to our customers, understand their needs, and evolve into the market accordingly. For example, Apple's first iPhone was a revolutionary product in 2007, but would be a very slow device in today's market. Apple's success in 2007 would be complete failure in 2014, because of the evolving markets and fast paced breakthroughs. Don't ever write your customer's opinions off as insignificant, because oftentimes, the customers can actually see things in the future that you and your company are currently unable to see. Use your customer's opinions to your advantage.

This video does a great job of getting right to the point with idea of evolution in business and if you aren't constantly evolving and changing, then you are setting yourself up for failure. I like the point he made in regards to the bookstores and how fast they became obsolete relative to how long it took them to build up.

This video is very true not only in business but in all aspects of life. Change is the only thing that is constant in life. So many businesses want to stick to their old ways because they were successful the first go round. What they need to realize is that the high profiting businesses today are those that are evolving, developing new things, and changing their ways. Its important to change to please your customers. With research today it is so easy to get feedback from what the consumer wants and then tend to it. Listening to the customer's voice and making a change can be key to having a successful business.

I like this video because it addresses fear commonly seen in business. Fear of developing from one point to another and be willing to learn from failure. I don't really understand what he's talking about when he says, "invent on the customers behalf." This seems like a vague point that he didn't really address, I can kind of see where's he's headed though. However, he makes a really good point about growing a company beyond what it is. Evolving the skills that the company is good at and develop off the needs of customers. Two very important ideas. This is a good video to keep in mind if ideas are running low.

If you don't change and evolve as a person, you won't fully amount to your potential. Growth correlates with learning and that in general is what makes me a better person. If your not growing, then what are you exactly doing? I believe that this video hit the nail on the head about this topic because a lot of people don't realize this. Good video I will def share this with someone.

It is dangerous if a business does not want to evolve, or innovate, they are most likely going to fail in whatever they do. There will always be competitors that are competing with you for market shares. If you refuse to grow your business, you will first lose your customers, and your competitors will try to buy you over, they will not only get your assets, more importantly they want the market you used to have.

What he says it true. A business cannot remain stagnant otherwise it will fail. The end. It has to continue to grow and innovate to stay in the game. Like he said, they spent 14 years working on their physical book selection, and once they accomplished that, 10 short months later the Kindle came out, and they had to change their service to include Kindle and physical book versions. It's important to know what the customer wants and be able to tell the customer what they want before even they know.

It’s always important to make sure that your company is evolving. A quote by Michelangelo that I like is ancoro imparo which means “I am always learning”. I feel like companies always need to be learning, growing, and evolving all the time in order to keep with society’s demand. Without evolution, a company is doomed to fail.

I can relate to this video on so many levels. Being in the hair business I always have to grow, change, and adapt to the styles that change or the different customers that I come into contact with. I constantly am going to hair shows and hair education classes so I can know about the different styles and products that are new on the market. People want whats in not out and whe they sit in my chair they expect me to give them whats in and trendy. I really liked this video and how they explained the reasons on why its good for all businesses need to change and grow.

What i take from this video is that you do not need to be afraid and to challenge yourself to do things that you think are not possible, but they are.

Change is constant. Whether it be in the business world or in your personal life, you must be willing and able to change. It sounds like Amazon is more prepared and willing to embrace change than most other companies, and this is probably one of the key factors in their success.

Inventing on the customers behalf is a great way to think. Though companies like to think they are listening to their customers and creating products they want, they really need to look deeper at the issue because sometimes consumers do not know what they want. Determining what they need and working backwards to achieve a product that meets that need is a great business plan that should be followed by almost all products. Companies try to innovate but aren't really changing anything, just adding on to something already invented is not innovating.
