INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder explains what makes Tech Companies Great I agree completely with what is stated in the article. Great companies have great leaders who have made their business objectives, goals, and vision/mission clear to their employees. The leaders are motivated and believe in what they are doing, causing their followers to believe in the same cause. I also agree with meeting customer-based needs. A company will be great if they have strong customer loyalty and support. Without the customer, the business cannot exist.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
This article emphasizes the importance of having motivated employees to help make a business successful. As a manager, you must motivate your employees to be the best they can be. But you must also hire employees that you can see getting motivated by observing your attitude. It is very important to hire prospective employees that show motivation in the interview. You must also make sure they these employees in turn motivate your customers to not only purchase your product but continue to do so. When employees are happy, so are your customers. Always make an effort to show you excitement to work at the firm so the employees can feed off of it and improve the overall performance.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
Mr. Mike Lazaridis is the entrepreneur who founded Research in Motion, the company that originally invented the Blackberry. When asked what it is that makes Tech companies great, he explains that it is the people. Honestly that is true for companies in every industry. If you can manage to attract good workers that are dedicated and innovative, you will have better products and more satisfied customers. Therefore it is very important to recruit and retain your talented human resources. Enthusiasm from the employer will result in more enthused employees, and happy employees means happy customers.

RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great I totally agree with this article, When it come down to a business that provides a service the success or fail of your business is really not in your hand but in your employee. Getting them to agree on your goal to gain both of you a common benefit is for important when providing a service. Yes, you hear a lot of people talkingabout how the CEO is doing this and that but in reality the business wouldn't have a chance if it wasn't for low level employee who put the hours and time in to make sure that service you are provider is up to the customer expectations.

I definitely agree with this link. I think that a company's employees play a big part in the way that the company runs, especially if the company has any kind of relation to customer service. Your employees can sometimes be the face of the company, and if they are in a bad mood or are not determined to work their hardest, it can turn the customer away to a new company which is something that you never want to happen.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
This article explains that a tech company is how every company needs to operate. Tech companies pay attention to pleasing their employees which in turn puts the employees into a positive work environment. Positive environments are always the best for employees to work in, and they also positively effect each customer. Customers continue coming back, and actually enjoy shopping or being at places that they are treated as if they are more than just an average customer. I have experienced this with shopping. I find myself walking in and walking out of places that give me a negative vibe. On the other hand I have this favorite store where I am treated like more than just any customer. They fill up my dressing room for me and practically watch me model every outfit and everyone puts in their opinions. Even though this store might be a little bit more expensive than others, I find myself continuing to go back because of the positive environment.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
Like the article said without the interaction of people within the company, the company wouldnt exist. Without the dedication of your team and support, the company will lack drive and motivation. Companies today let there employees be more innovation and make greater decisions, just like in a tech company. They give there employees the option to explore the workforce which builds a friendly environment for the workers. Tech companies is unlike any company, you still have the same problems just like a regular company. People make the company whole again without that you lack everything.

The article in so many words state the basic operations in the tech industry and how to stay afloat. Employees not only feed off the energy of other employees but, the leader in charge himself. As a leader, you want to attract those who have the same ambition and innovation as you do. I worked for a huge retailer a few years ago, the store leader was great but, the managers under him brought the morale down and it became evident that employees weren't happy. Individuals dropped like flies, didn't arrive on time, and sometimes never showed at all. Once all this occurred, the motivation of those who had the passion to help the company succeed declined drastically. In the future, I plan to implement a participative and supportive role with my employees.

For a business to be fully efficient and to have positive progression everyone must be aboard and willing to do what ever is necessary to improve the company as whole, companies should be customer driven, meaning polls should be release quarterly asking the opinion of its customers. If a business if fully committed to pleasing its customers as well as the employees, the company will find positive and constant income.

All companies should be able to have innovative leaders and to understand and be able to anticipate the needs of their customers. A company needs both of these traits to be a successful business. The leader plays to role to make everything in the business run smoothly. Making sure that the employees all have the right traits to make the business run in the right way. When all of those things fall into place then your business should run smoothly with out many problems and anticipating the needs of the customers.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
All companies shit have innovative leaders not just the tech companies. They should always be looking for new ways to do things and anticipate what the customer need. This is a great way of doing business and providing new features for you customers before they even know they need it. If all businesses would do this they would be much better off.

Link #17 Instant MBA RIM Founder Explains What makes Tech Companies Great
Mike Lazaridis really understands what makes a good Tech Company. Yes it has to
start with the employees. Like all great business, employees are what help to make a
business thrive. If you hire people who really don’t care about the business then the
business may not do as well. If everyone you hire loves coming to work and is there
to help make the company better, then your company will be more successful. Also
the products need to be the best. Even if you have the best employees in the world,
if you have bad products the company will fail. At the same time if you horrible
employees and great products, the company will also struggle.

This article has a couple of key points to how a business works and runs. It does start with people and how your employees give an impression on a customer about the company. If there is an employee that works in a company that hates his job and thinks the company is bad, the customer will pick up on that and wish to go somewhere else. There is also a large chance that the way he thinks will start to infect others in the company. However, if you have an employee that works hard and wants to become successful and possibly move up in the company it will show in how they treat the customer. Also this article talks about leadership, which we have talked about before and again it is important to have good leadership in a company. Often it is pivotal in how a company operates. if a leader doesn't care about the company than the employees will follow them in that regard, but if the leader is passionate about the company than the employees will most likely follow suit.

INSTANT MBA: There Are 4 Big Ways To Effect Change In Your Company
The 4 E's as Chris Elliote states are a great avenue to successfully promote change within your company. To first engage with your employees, then to educate and encourage employees to be successful allows them to feel needed and appreciated. Ultimately this will provide the employees with opportunities to learn and encourage employees to strive for excellence. The final "E" stands to enforce a strict adherence to the company's culture. With these 4 E's, leaders should be able to have a smooth transition with change in the workplace.
