INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
I agree with the main argument of this article: a company is made up by its employees, and they are the most important asset of every firm. All businesses need to hire the best talent to succeed, and they also need to retain this talent over time. In other words, a human resources department has to put in place policies not just to find good employees but also to keep them motivated within the company. A business can't survive without customers, and the employees are the key to attract and maintain consumers by contributing with the creation of high-quality products or providing efficient services. In summary, people are the most important resource of every company, and it's essential to keep them committed and aligned with the goals of the business.

INSTANT MBA: There Are 4 Big Ways To Effect Change In Your Company
I agree that leaders need to do these 4 things to successfully promote change within your company. The 4 E's as Chris Elliote states. The first is engage with your employees, this allows them to feel needed and appreciated. The next two are to educate and encourage employees to be successful. Provide them with opportunities to learn and encourage employees to strive for excellence. The last E is to enforce strict adherence to company's culture. With these 4 E's, leaders should be able to have a smooth transition with change in the workplace.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
People are indeed the foundation of a business. If your employees are unhappy this will in turn lead to unhappy customers. I agree that in order to attract great employees that will be dedicated to the success your business, you have to also present yourself in a manner that shows potential employees that you are also dedicated to what you do and also to the success of your business. An interview shouldn't only be view as the time for the potential employee to show that they are competent enough to work for you and that they will be a great asset to the company, but it is also the time for you to show them that you are looking forward to having this person work for you and that you too are as excited as they are about this opportunity. Even after these potential employees are hired, you should continue to motivate them to stay dedicated. When your employees are happy, they make your customers happy.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
As a business owner, it is imperative that you hire individuals who reflect you and your goals for your business. People are indeed the foundation of a business. You want your employees to be preapred meaning that they should always be ready to work. They should also value people's time. You also want to hire people who love the job that way they will not have a problem with being able to display quality customer service. They must be pleasant people as well. we all have encountered at some poin in our lives business employees that gave companies "bad names." You as a business owner want to make sure that you display the same type of service to your employees as you would have them diplay to your customers. You must keep in mind that when you keep yoru employees happy they will keep your customers satisfied.

Instant MBA: RIM founder explains what makes tech companies great I agree 100% with the article; people are absolutely the foundation of a business. As a business owner, distinguishing the right people to hire for your company is a very tedious process. Taking into consideration that you want a successful business, and that it is customer based; your employees have to be genuine. The only way this process can be executed is by leadership. Attitude reflects leadership. As an owner you have to set the standard for the dos and don’ts, basically you have to be a prime example of how you want things done. That way your employees can follow your lead, and know exactly what to do to help make business successful. Great read!!

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
I think this article is right on target and I also think this is evident if you look at most of the major tech companies. As a hiring manager or employer if you greet a prospective employee with enthusiasm, it will become contagious and will be a way of life in the work place. This will help keep energy levels high and keep individuals engaged. When an employee is engaged and has a high energy level they will be more creative and productive. As the article states, it is also important to start with customer-based marketing that meets and anticipate customer needs.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
I have I learned that people feed off each other’s energy. If one person is consistently always negative and pessimistic about everything then it will begin to bring the people around him/her down to. If I worked for a boss that was not excited about today and the company’s future I would not be excited either. I wouldn’t care and definitely wouldn’t give all my effort in to my job. Also from a customer view point if the person I am buying goods or services from is not polite and friendly I will not use that company again.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
People are the most important part in selling your product or service. No matter how good your product is, if you can't sell it or get somebody interested in thinking about buying it, then you won't be successful. When people are shopping for something, they want to talk to people that are enthusiastic and want to be there. If the customer doesn't feel comfortable or welcome, the chances of them giving you their business is slim. Also, the employees of a company usually reflect the employer. In the interview process, if an employer is energetic then he/she will attract that same type of worker, and vice versa.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
People really want to work for a company that is excited about what they do. When another person can feel what they are feeling, they want to be a part of that because it makes them feel good. They want to be excited to work for this place. When that concentration of energy is put towards the job, there will be a substantial amount of creativity that can be put into the company. This energy will fuel the company and make it a lot larger than it started off.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
I definitely agree with the main point on this article: making your employees happy, makes for happy customers. When employees feel appreciated, they tend to have better attitudes at work. They may be more willing to go above and beyond when needed. Customers are the driving force of businesses so maintaining happy customers helps to keep the business flowing smoothly.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
I agree with the article when it says that in order for your business to be successful you need employees who care. That is currently an issue we are having at my company right now. Our crew is not happy with the new manager recently hired and they have all lost their previous dedication and pride in their jobs. Their unhappiness is directly affecting business and causing our store to operate at a much lower level. No one is cheerful at work leading to poor customer service. Everyone is unmotivated causing low productivity levels. The change in the crew is even notable in our stores numbers. We are currently looking into ways to boost morale because it is evident that happy and dedicated employees are the key to a successful business.

INSTANT MBA: RIM Founder Explains What Makes Tech Companies Great
I think it's very important for employees to be passionate about their jobs; and that starts with the leadership. If the leaders can't make the employees excited about the job then it has a butterfly effect on everything else. An unhappy employee is gonna have that same attitude when dealing with a customer and it's not gonna make that company look good at all. The leaders of the company need to have a positive outlook for the employees because they are what is driving the company and making it successful.

I think that not only should tech companies have innovative leaders and be able to anticipate their customers needs, but that all companies should do this. These are two major traits that a company needs in order to be successful. A leader plays a crucial role in the environment, growth, and development of a company. They should ensure that they employees that are qualified, dedicated, and enthusiastic about their job and company they work for. If all of those factors are in place, then the company should have not problem anticipating the needs of their customers.
