Instant MBA: Reality TV Star Says Small Business Owners Don’t Understand When They’re the Problem
I disagree with this article's stance about small business owners not wanting to change the way they do things. Most owners can attest to the fact that some elements of business dealing are not within their realm of control. For example in a downed economy most consumers do not purchase cars, so in 2009 some dealerships began having more relaxed hours of operations. Though for the most part it was not disruptive to the business, most customers were not pleased with not being able to reach salespeople as easily as they were able to in the past.

INSTANT MBA: Reality TV Star Says Small Business Owners Don't Understand When They're The Problem
I can relate to this article since my father owns his own small business. For a business to service in todays fast pace world it can not be afraid to changes its ways or old habits. The internet has a huge influence on todays world and old business are not willing to change its ways to the way the world works today. As a small business owner my father has had to constantly update and change is business to keep up with todays world. It takes a great deal of risk to try new things, but sometimes that's what it takes for your business to survive.

Instant MBA: Reality TV Star Says Small Business Owners Don’t Understand When They’re the Problem
As a manager, you must always be open to listen to suggestions because no one is perfect. There is always someone for innovative and more creative, who can give you ideas that help your company improve. Failure to encourage your employees to be conducive is a setup for decline of effort from them. There is always room for more ideas.

I agree many owners are blinded by their authority and pride. Most owners are so stuck in their ways; they start to ignore what’s right in front of them. Being a great owner means you’re open to ideas. You’re willing to change your methods to continue having a great business. Adapting is something everyone has to do in order to stay on top.

Pride comes before the fall. This may be a cliche but it’s the truth. If business owners aren’t open to putting aside their pride to fix a problem they will fail. From experience I know that it’s definitely hard to hear that you’re the problem, but i’ve learned that putting aside my pride definitely helps.

INSTANT MBA: Reality TV Star Says Small Business Owners Don't Understand When They're The Problem
This article was very good and I like how they described the pros and cons of change. I believe change is a good thing and that more businesses should look into change. However, I do understand that change is hard from some people to accept.

Instant MBA : Reality TV Star Says Small Business Owners Don’t Understand When They’re the Problem
In this article, reality TV star Tabitha Coffey explains that Small business owners are most reluctant to understand that they may be the problem. She means those are the ones you are most reluctant to change when change is needed. In the ever evolving world, we need to stay a step ahead of change and always be ready. Small business owners may think that the change would not affect them or they don’t have the means to conform to the changes and their businesses ultimately suffer from it
