Having different types of individuals is a great thing for a company. it allows a company to look at a broader scale of things to find the best solution.

RSA Shorts: The Power of Quiet
This video talks about the idea that businesses can prosper with a combination of introverted and extroverted people. I believe great ideas can come from either side. I don't think by introverted makes you more or less knowledgeable or more or less creative. I do believe however, that introverts and extroverts can compliment each other in the business setting.

I liked this video and think of myself as an introvert. I can focus more and complete my work best when alone. I liked how the video expressed there is no right or wrong personality. And that each type of person whether introvert or extrovert have advantages. I also feel that extraverts and introverts who work together can produce some of the most successful products/services.

I have never looked at the dominance of an extrovert versus the quiet nature of an introvert in that way. Society really does put negative associations with the word introvert. In all honesty, some of the smartest people I have ever met are introverts. They know when to speak and when not to. They are careful and wise with words. I am an extrovert and sometimes I struggle to keep quiet in group settings and just listen. Extroverts and introverts can both bring equally important qualities to a company.

This video is right when it says we are pushing charisma a little too hard these days. The idea of diversity and having different types of people in a work place is genius. If everyone was the same then we would always have the same results. I think people who are naturally introverted do not get enough credit in America at times because they are having to battle their ideas and thoughts with the loud extroverts.

I like how she used cat to represent people that are introvert, dog to represent extrovert people. Indeed, we can only divide our entire population into these two categories. We need introverts to contribute their ideas and advance the existing technologies to better our lives. On the other hand, we also need extroverts to organize and lead teams and organizations to deliver results, to make things happen.

All my life I have been told that I am a 100% extrovert but this video make me see that I do have a lot of introvert qualities. I don't know if I agree about introverts and extroverts don't need each- other I think they make a great team but also need to understand the others needs.

I really like the artistic work that this video consisted of. I agree that sometimes it takes two different minded people to make the perfect pair. I believe this is because it takes to different forms of thinking and creativity. I think this is why many people from less fortunate paths are able to have more desire and motivation than those of us who have had it easy our entire lives. They are also able to see things in a different light. So I agree that sometimes it takes the person we would least expect to be the brains of an operation.

Just because someone is the loudest and most abrupt does not mean that they are right and have the best ideas. Someone with better ideas is going to be more creative and productive. When you bring Introverts and Extroverts together that forms the best team to get things done. Introverts keep to themselves and have creative ideas while Extroverts are loud and speak their minds out to a group they promote the idea. This is a great video to pass around your workplace, when forming teams you can watch this video and form the best most productive team.

I agree that the best partnerships are extroverts and introverts. I am an extrovert and my best friend is an introvert. Our friendship has held up for over 10 years. I think part of that is because we are like yin and yang. Two extroverts in a room spend all of their time trying to talk over one another. Two introverts do not talk at all. Put one of each in a room and you get a solid conversation. The extrovert will talk and keep the conversation going, and usually the introvert will listen politely and offer their opinions at the appropriate times and deepen the conversation. I couldn't imagine a company run by only extroverts or only introverts. As with everything in life, I think that companies need a balance between the two.

If you put people in a room and give them a problem, the person who speaks up the most and acts like a leaders is the one who's opinions will be expressed the most. Studies have shown however that these peoples ideas are normal not the best ideas. Combinations of into and extroverts tend to make up the best teams together. This video has some interesting point that i could see really helping in a work environment.

I liked the information in this video. It gives an insight into how the world operates. When it comes to describing people there are introverts and extraverts. The speaker said that it would be good to be able to have both. Introverts are very to themselves and extraverts are completely opposite and like to be outspoken. I think it is a good idea to be able to balance both and have a medium.

This video really hits home. In school we always looked towards the class clown because he or she was capable of smoothly talking and handling whatever the situation threw at them. They thrived under attention. We never really paid attention to the quiet ones seated front and center or tucked away in the back corner to avoid attention. In work, the ones who voice their opinions often are the ones we gravitate towards because they always have ideas and inputs. It's simply carried over from high school. We don't think about the quite ones doing their work and keeping to themselves. Everyone has a different level of confidence. Just because they are quietly doing their work, doesn't mean that they don't have an opinion on what is going on around them. I never voiced my own opinion on my ideas but rather followed the ones the charismatic employees presented. I may bring out my own ideas if I now start asking those who keep to themselves for their opinions too. We can share the confidence so to speak.

The lady in this video made some great points about how we have evolved from an agricultural culture to a corporate culture. I do find that people with the strongest personalities, be that the loudest or the most likable, are the ones people listen to. I also have found that frequently when I am placed in a group, most people are waiting for someone else to take control and start delegating things to everyone else. I always wait for a few moments to give someone the opportunity to take this position. A lot of times, though, nothing happens until I start to talk. My friends have told me I'm a natural leader. I think it's only because no one else will make the decisions that must be made. I agree that it takes both an introverted person and an extroverted person to have all sides of an aspect covered.

Love the graphics in thus video. I also agree. Having one is good but having a combination of the two is even better. This is an aspect of management I can learn from and hopefully fully become one day soon.
