This is a video that I needed to listen to, I think often times in a meeting I try to be the "charismatic" one in the room and be dynamic and stand out. This video is great to show the pros and cons of both that is not often looked at. Introverts have their unique advantages that create just as amazing things as extroverts and the great thing is that when you combine the two they can offset the differences and create one great pairing. I consider myself an extrovert and I will now see that sometimes I will need to look for an introvert to partner with to bring out the best of both of our personalities.

This is so true but if you could master the two then that would be great. If a person can conquer both atmospheres on introvert and extrovert then that would make an awesome all around person. By combining the two and building a relationship the lady in this video is basically saying that the two together make a good pair even it comes to running a business.

I found this video to be very accurate. Leaders in modern society are entirely too extractive, and not enough people value the 'thinkers'. People who are productive are those who can develop ideas, and will always be valued more than those who can speak out and sell an idea. This is why doctors make more money than car salespersons. This video was very insightful.

This was a very interesting video. It gives the idea that businesses can prosper with a combination of introverted and extroverted people. I believe great ideas can come from either. I don't think by introverted makes you more or less knowledgeable or more or less creative. I do believe however, that introverts and extroverts can compliment each other in the business setting as did Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs.

I really enjoyed this video. I didn't even realize that another Steve was the actual creator of Apple. I feel many businesses look for particular types of people when hiring for positions. For instance, sales and marketing positions may be better suited for extroverts while data entry or IT positions better suited for introverts. I hate that people are put into boxes based on their personality types; anyone can learn to do a job well, no matter what type of natural personality they have. As a natural introvert myself, I do enjoy being alone and I feel more comfortable recharging and relaxing in solitude. However, I am a very outgoing person who loves to be around people. The office where I work is in charge of freshman and transfer orientations for the university. Last year at the regional orientation training workshop we attend, I attended a session on extroversion vs. introversion, and how new student orientations traditionally are geared towards extroverted students. Just as this video suggests, realizing that introverts and extroverts are equal in business, the session moderators encouraged us to think of ways to offer programming and activities that both students with extroverted and introverted personalities would enjoy.

I liked the information in this video, it definitely gives an insight into how the world operates. Introverts are people who keep to themselves and would rather alone time to do work than to be with people. Extroverts are the people who speak well and are charismatic. They are rarely successful when on their own, but when brought together, great things happen, like Apple. It was the combination between the two that made Apple into what it is today. I do think that extroverts are heard first and people do usually listen to them. I feel like if people are introverted, they try to speak their minds more, if they do this than businesses could get more points of view, to in turn, make a decision on a good idea and not just the loudest idea.

Introverts and extroverts do need each other. This video is 100% correct, most people at meetings have usually a person that is loud with their opinions and charismatic. This does not mean this person opinion is the best opinion, but people tend to follow him and his ideas just because he is charismatic. Most people that are introverts, have a lot of time for themselves to think and analyze ideas, which for the most part it will lead to the right answer. The problem is that they are not good at communicating this idea. This is why introverts and extroverts need each other. And as the video explained, this is also why apple, inc. worked. Without Wozniak or Jobs , Apple could have not been created.

If you put people in a room and give them a problem, the person who speaks up the most and acts like a leaders is the one who's opinions will be expressed the most. Studies have shown however that these peoples ideas are normal not the best ideas. Combinations of into and extroverts tend to make up the best teams together. This video has some interesting point that i could see really helping in a work environment.

RSA Shorts: The Power of Quiet In studying to eventually become an entrepreneur this is an idea that was presented often. Entrepreneurs are not usually the ones that end up running a business, so they also need a counterpart that uses that other side of the brain to make sure that the company has all the components that it needs and doesn't end up bankrupt! The idea guy and the organizational guy are both necessary to a creation.

TITLE - RSA Shorts: The Power of Quiet
This was a great reminder about respecting and valuing everyone's different personality traits. I think the speaker in the video was right; there is too much focus on extroverts and not enough on introverts. I often find that some of the quietest people have the most brilliant ideas! And you would never know because they are often times drowned out by the loud nonsense someone else is talking about. I also agree with the speaker that when you put those two personality traits together, you can get really good results. Ofcourse this does not happen all the time and it ultimately depends on the person, but I think a balance is needed.

You must learn to accept another thoughts and ideas, sometimes people don't understand the thought process of certain people but tend to fallback without asking questions. Studies show the person who is the loudest and most aggressive in a group tend to get their idea out causing others not to get a chance to express their true opinion out of fear of being shut out or mocked because they weren't the first to bring up their ideas. Sometimes its good to sit back and observe before you speak your thought, because if you listen you can find ways to incorporate your ideas and their ideas ultimately having the best result.
