INSTANT MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
Having a good relationship between employees and employers is very important for a business. You need to be able to interact and feel comfortable with not just your co-workers, but also the people that are above you as well. If you don't get along with someone, it just makes it that much harder to get a job done. However, you still want a professional relationship and not a friend relationship, while at your place of work. Mixing the two can cause real trouble, by either messing up a job, or ruining a friendship.

INSTANT MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
I believe that you must have a connected workforce or you will not succeed. If your employees do not get along, it does nothing good for the work environment. In order to be a good Boss, I think it is critical to pay attention to the framework of your company. How does your company facilitate the needs of its employees in order for them to stay happy? Keeping a strong company culture can be a distinguishing factor between your company and the next.

Instant MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
I believe that I am the type of leader who focuses on the community of my crew rather than just the results they produce. Our Operations Manager only cares about the aspects of the shift that are measured such as our drive thru time and our mystery shop scores. He doesn't care if each and every crew member goes home hating their jobs and crying, as long as the shift met its goals. I on the other hand know that every worker is also a person, and in order to consistently get good results and high performance, it is important that my crew is happy. A happy worker is a productive worker. I like to make my crew members feel like they are part of a family when they are at work. My shifts consistently beat the scores of our Operations Manager, and it is because although these scores are his main focus, the crew doesn't perform as well to meet them because they are so unhappy on his shifts.

INSTANT MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
I wish this article would’ve gone into a little more depth in its meaning. Yes, I agree that an employer should promote teamwork and a fun atmosphere, BUT being too lenient could sometimes cause procrastination if people aren’t accountable.

INSTANT MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
I couldn't agree more with this article. It says that people in the workplace seem to value being accepted and connected to their jobs and the people they work with. If you find a job that where you enjoy being around the people you work with, it makes it so much more pleasant to go into work. In my current job, I love my coworkers and we all get along really well, so sometimes I actually look forward to coming to work. I've been in the opposite situation too, though, and going to work got harder and harder every day until I eventually just couldn't stand it anymore.

Instant MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
Encouraging people to excel while having fun is in fact an awesome idea. There is nothing wrong with enjoying what you do at work while still getting the job done satisfactorily. People take pride in their work when they enjoy what they do versus someone who absolutely hates their job and the people they work with. Boosting morale makes the work day seem not quite as long as well as making the working environment much more enjoyable.

I think this is a great point. It seems so simple, but if possible knew their possibilities to excel in a company were realistic, the moral would raise through the roof. Everyone seems to get promises at the interview stage, but how many of these promises are fulfilled? I would like to see the percentages. But yes if people felt they could excel of course they would want to excel!

Alt link 10: INSTANT MBA: 'I Don't Believe In Hierarchy'
There needs to be a boss, then lead workers, then the collective group of workers. Hierarchy systems are not bad things if utilized the right way by the right people. If there is a chain of command then responsibilities can be assigned accordingly. Also if the head of the hierarchy values input from all levels then you get the same results as what Ransom is doing and you get to maintain structure in the workplace.

INSTANT MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected I like this article because nobody wants to constantly be wrong or fussed at all the time for something they did which is how many bosses operate. They are always saying things need to get better or there will be consequences and are only looking for the results at the end of the day instead of how their employees are doing. The great bosses are not only focused on the results but also how to make their employees work harder and more efficient. Motivating employees and complimenting them on the work they have done will end up with good results along with a happy staff.

In order to be an effective leader, I think that you should be able to connect with your employees. As a leader you should create a work environment that is rich in communication. This allows there to be open lines of communication between the leader and employees. This will allow for collaboration amongst each other. This kind of environment also will allow for creativity. When you have all of these things, your company will work together to be successful and productive.

INSTANT MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected by
I think this article stresses something that is very important! It is key that crew members feel connected because if they do, they work better as a team! Team work is something my store really struggled with in the past. No one felt connected. They all worked against one another and fought, simply because they felt they were all completing with one another. It is important that managers instill a sense of connection between the workers so that they will mesh together as a team. Cane's motto is work hard and have fun. It took my management team a while to get the crew to bond but once they did, their performance output improved greatly.

INSTANT MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
I believe that a good boss can make such a difference in work environments, especially one that is a good leader. Being a leader is someone who others can look up to and aspire to be. This person is encouraging not pushy and demanding. Sometimes you get those bosses that think that they are on some sort of higher pedestal which means they can just dictate duties to employees and expect good outcomes from them somehow. This is not the way to get your employees to do great work. Everyone does better when they're happy and comfortable. A good boss and leader makes a great deal of difference.

I feel that one of the most important thing in helping people they truly feel like the can succeed is making them feel connected to the social environment their in. If someone feels like they belong where they are it make them want to be a part of moving forward in their group. If someone feels like an outsider they may not necessarily feel like moving forward is not as important as it really is. Make known that on your team we move forward together, not alone.

Instant MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees To Feel Connected
I have worked for several companies throughout my career. The company that I have been with the longest 20+ years is a company that does just as this article suggest. They focus on the positive; encourage employees to strive for better without emphasizing on strictly the shortfalls. Good leaders compliment the achievements and encourage the employees to find solutions instead of excuses for areas that could use improvements.

Instant MBA: Good Bosses Know How Important It Is For Their Employees to Feel Connected
Its always better to focus on what can be done better than on what is wrong. I mean, in sports or life or anything, its better to have a mentor or boss tell you how to do better than have them tell you how awful you are doing. In business, as mentioned in previous links, employees ideas and motivations are the most important thing in any business. Without these things, business is nothing. So even if a boss has figured a way to make his employees motivated, if they don't feel like their success means anything or will get them anywhere, the motivation wont matter. Get employees motivated and make them feel like their motivation actually means something to the company and their career, and you will get some very good results.
