I thought it was repetitive that was previously posted. So I pretty much have the same opinion on it. My opinion is that most people justify cheating based on their interpretation to it being harmful or not. So we will continue to see the high rate of small cheating, because most people don't view it as harmful. Lastly, everyone should be held accountable for their wrong doings.

A lot of people cheat on their taxes, and the amount of people who cheat is growing. People usually do not steal a lot, but they will steal a little. People think that it is okay to cheat a little or steal a little because they can rationalize it. Because we buy things online, we are more likely to cheat the economy. I think that this is important to keep in mind as a business owner, and it is important to make sure you are being honest when it comes to taxes and buying different items or services.

The idea that "a little is okay but a lot isn't" is what builds up. People use this excuse all the time to justify their actions. When it comes to people cheating on their taxes Im sure they justify that too. Key fact. if you don't file your taxes the right way and miss out on saving the government isn't going to do the leg work for and make sure you get back more. See justification.

As the video says, it is just human nature to cheat when they don't feel it is an importance topic. Cheating the economy is much easier then other forms of cheating because their are no eyes directly watching you. People are more inclined to cheat when the possibility of being caught is minimal. In the instance of taxes, is it still considered cheating if someone does not fully understand the information that they aren't including? There is a big difference between knowingly cheating in order to save or retrieve large amounts of money, and making an honest mistake. That line however is very thin, and crossing it starts a steep hill of continuing to cheat.

It's true that everyone thinks cheating a little is okay. This is mostly because of our laziness and our strong desire to do as little as possible and still have enough money to do whatever we want. So our solution is the cheat a little. But just like the video explains, if everyone does a little cheating this adds up to be a lot. Its like collecting a dollar per person in a group full of thirty people. It adds up quickly. Same effect. Cheating is never a good idea, even a little, because you are effecting everyone, not just yourself.

I think this video was interesting because it talked about cheating in relation to taxes. I feel like a lot of people cheat when doing their taxes and I don’t really agree with that. Unfortunately, I think lately cheating and stealing is growing larger in our economy. Cheating is addicting in some aspects because it just escalates and this can affect the individual or any individuals that know about it and that can create a problem. It doesn’t matter how big or small the lie, item stolen, or amount of money taken- it’s all cheating and lying and there are serious consequences especially when you get to the business world. In my opinion, cheating needs to be taken more seriously.

The real problem with cheating is when people can rationalize the benefits of their cheating actions overweighing the loss of respect and dignity that comes with cheating. There is a problem with someone who thinks that a dollar amount or test score is more valuable than their honor.

first off if we want to talk about cheating when it comes to taxes, then we need to start with the government. income tax is unconstitutional, yet the government doesn't see a problem with keeping it instated. number 2 the amount of money that is taken from the working class and is passed out through food stamps is rediculous. in no way am i saying that it is right to cheat on your taxes, but if we are going to point the finger at the working class for trying to pay less taxes to the government (who shouldnt have the right to them), then we have a very very diluted sense of reality. every coin is two sided.

It is so easy to overlook things when we feel it will be in our favor. We rationalize if it will be noticed or if it is technically wrong just like using notes for an online test. In this economy more and more people lie on taxes etc. because they feel the government is already cheating them. I don't think that this is something that will change someone will always feel their getting the bad end of the stick and that is just how life works.

I understand what this video is trying to get across but I think that calling people cheaters and saying that they are stealing from the government when they don't pay taxes on things like Etsy is absolutely ridiculos. It's bad enough that the tax rate is so high already to expect people to pay taxes on jobs that are not government owned is outrageous. If you can find a way of making money that does not involve the government then you are entitled to every penny you make. I personally have a lot of side jobs outside of my full-time job such as babysitting and baking, and I feel that I reserve the right to keep the money I make to myself.

I believe that many people cheat on their taxes because when you think about it a lot of people believe that most politicians and government officials are dirty in that they take bribes or untrustworthy because they use taxpayers money for personal gain or pass bills to charge taxpayers more and more money in some kind of way, so people feel entitled to give em a little back of what they dish out. However cheating is cheating and it seems as society we keep changing the gray line to include a little more, soon what we constitute as being bad will only be in the gray area.

Some people cheat in life because they feel as though it is ok because at some point of time in life they were told it is ok to cheat. Cheating is an ethical issue and shows if a person has ethics or not. Some people try to cheat the government because they feel as though the government is overstepping there boundary or as if the government owes them something. Cheating is wrong and the end cheating can come back to hunt you in life. So it is important to be honest with yourself because cheating on taxes can have a boomerang effect when caught.

People cheat all the time. A lot of people cheat with money and think that it's just a little. But if one person does it and get away with it, then everyone does it. So that "just a little" becomes a lot when combined. No matter where you go people will always cheat. No matter if it's with the government, on a test or homework.

Cheating. This is a subject that can be over looked. In the video she said that humans look at cheating in increments. Meaning a little here and a little there is not that bad. But in all reality is, if we all cheat a little then it equals a lot. I think the statistics given about taxes is crazy. If most of the US thinks its not a big deal then it can add up to be a big deal. This video challenges me to think about things a little different.

Cheating is a part of life. Individuals will do what ever it takes to make it to a certain point However income tax cheating is never a good idea. When the IRS comes knocking on your door you better be ready to answer.
