Planning your day in advance is key. You should always look at what task are important and which ones are not so important. By doing so if someone ask you to do something you will know if you are able to or tied up with something. This is something I feel everyone should do on a daily basis.

These are helpful tips for avoiding the "busy trap". I sometimes get caught up in this because I do not plan ahead of time. If one of my sorority sisters asks me to do something I tend to be swayed to do it instead of figuring out that there are more important things that need to be done which ends up with me having to rush and finish assignments.

While this video was informative, there was not a whole lot on it that surprised me. It mostly explained a simplified way to approach a task list which didn't seem too effective. I believe this video was too broad and needed some more distinct points on it.

Its important to not only work hard but to also work smart. This is an important concept because people often work themselves and stay busy for very little in return. You have to have goals alongside hard work to actually get things done.

Avoiding the busy trap is nearly impossible. As the day goes on, different tasks are thrown at you and must be done right then and there. Making a decision about what you need to do first and not just doing any task set infront of you is the best way to avoid the busy trap.

I really like these work smart videos. They are almost always applicable to my life. I definitely don't work smart. I always do what is in front of my face at any given moment, and I admit that is not the best way to work. I find myself being constantly interrupted, and I don't always get to finish whatever it is I'm working on. I think that the video gives a lot of helpful tips to avoid situations like this. Making a list of priorities and sticking to it is key. There will always be interruptions, but if you work smart they will not affect you as much.

I enjoyed this video and had to agree with many points in the video. I agree that everyone will experience interuption and distractions throughout the work day. I learned that its important on how you define your work and how you deal with the interuptions, that make you a good worker.

This was another video about prioritizing time and responsibilities. By keeping a schedule it is to avoid procrastination and over scheduling.

Defining your work is the most important aspect of your job. This is very important. I've had quite a few jobs where other managers will try to get me to do their work. Mainly because I was new they thought they could confuse me. Or lead me to think that it was part of my job.
