This article is very right, Business world you might not always be the boss but once you get enough respect people will listen to what you have to say. So by doing good and listening right you will be okay. But in the way if doing this you must remember to always be as humble as you can because if you want respect in the future you have to give it in the present .

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
Employers are impressed when an employee steps up and goes above and beyond what they are asked to do. If you want to be successful, lead as much as you ca, while you can. You should be proud of everything that you do and put your name on. If everyone did this, it would make them more confident in their work and be more efficient. It doesnt matter is it is the smallest task or a multimillion dollar contract you are working on, you should be working as if it is the most important of all time. This will impress your employers and make them want to promote you. It will only help you in the long run and show how valuable you are to the company.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
The author has a great point for life, in general. I was raised to believe that if you're going to do something, you should always strive to do your best at it no matter what. If you don't intend to do your best, why even attempt it? The author is making that point about our positions in corporate America. It's almost inevitable for a company to be a huge success if every employee there strives to excel at his/her position. Not only will the company succeed, but the employees will each feel a huge sense of personal accomplishment and self-worth as well (and may also catch the eye of the CEO and move up the ladder more quickly!)

I really like the statement: "be the CEO of everything that you do." It really goes with taking ownership. Like the article said, you don't have to be the boss to start acting like one. When working it is important to do everything to the best of your capabilities. If you are putting your everything into the work you are producing it will be more relevant in the end product. Treat every project, no matter how little, as the CEO would. Pay attention to every detail and make sure the work is done thoroughly and completely.

In this link it points out that having pride in your work can go a long way. The best way to obtain that pride is to have a higher sense of involvement. This is very important when trying to be more efficient because you feel more responsibility in the matter. This can help push your career to the limits. Thinking with more responsibility can also give a person more confidence because they feel like they have more control over the matter. So when approaching any objective tries your best to have a mindset of authority.

Viewing yourself as a leader in what you're doing can make working less of a job and more of a goal. Doing things like a business leader would involves you not skipping the small steps and doing everything correctly and with the best attitude possible. Having that mindset can create better end results, just as the article says.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
This article talks about not having to be the boss to act like one. I strongly agree with this you have to lead by example and show the other workers and managers that you are a asset and could one be the boss. This will motivate your team to work harder and want to succeed. You have to have initiative and determination. Never let anyone tell you you can't do something. Go out there and work hard and one day you will be the boss.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
I agree about the idea that you don't have to be the boss to act like the boss, but I think some people take this mentality the wrong the way. It is always good to emulate a successful person and often the boss is the most successful person at a business. There are also many poor bosses out there and there is the fact that people don't like when their piers try to lead them. I think trying to be as good at tasks as the boss and as efficient as good but you don't go into a job trying to lead people and correct their performance if it is not your job because it could end up costing you a job.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
I like this article. It embodies my idea of taking pride in everything you do. When a person takes pride in “making better coffee,” is builds character. If a person will not do his best in making a cup of coffee, why would he work harder to make better business decisions? Details do matter and the small “stuff” makes a difference. I stress it is a character issue, it is not about what job is being performed, it is about the pride you take in it. People who “make better coffee” will be very successful in life.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
Everyone at the workplace needs to act like a boss, even if they are not. Setting this tone also, helps to set higher expectations for your employees. Leaders should always be great leader in one way or another.

The article says be a CEO at everything you do. If you want to be successful at everything you do this is a good start. But in other situations in life you need to just listen and not react. A good CEO can listen and react in the right manner. Work hard and set goals are two things an entrepreneur should put at the top of his/her list in order to achieve greatness.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
The more people take ownership of their own work the less review occurs, creating a more efficient organization. Team members will them become satisfied in their work and finish product. This leads to motivation for perfection. Top management has to instill the CEO in their employees for this to occur. Leading by example can help with this. I agree with Gibson that taking responsibility in one's work leads to a confidence boost to start running towards challenges.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
Having the mindset of a CEO may someday get you to being a CEO. Passive words and actions never got anybody to the top. Taking pride in what you and what your team does, demanding excellence and not taking anything less will attract the attention of anybody, including upper level management. These tactics may get you promoted faster than you think.

As a a leader one of the best things you can instill in your employees is confidence. I like the ideas in the article and think that leaders should talk to their employees about taking ownership of their work and pride in what they do. Leaders can also do this by acknowledging the work that their employees do. When a leader shows an employee that they value them and their work, then their employees are more likely to take pride in what they do. I agree with this article.
