INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
I don't quite agree with the approach of this advice. Even know I am aware of the importance of encouragement at the workplace to keep employees motivated, there can be some negative effects when managers let workers believe they are the boss. First, teamwork collaboration might be diminished; if employees are encouraged to act like the boss, they might just do everything by themselves. Second, employees who act like a boss can create conflicts with coworkers who want to take control as well, and this can create a stressful environment at the workplace. In summary, it is important that employees take full control of their duties and develop managerial skills; however, they need to be patient and start acting like a boss when they are ready to do so.

Instant MBA: You Don’t Have to be The Boss to Start Acting Like One I am not sure if I totally agree with this saying. After reading this article I had a lot of different thoughts because I do understand the essential message of the article, but I also know that people in today’s workforce will not act accordingly. I feel that if this advice was enforced in the business world, the conflict will outweigh the original purpose which is to become better. If employees were to start acting like bosses then everyone will feel like they know it all, and refuse group work. Also, confrontation will build because employees will not be open to suggestions and termination will be a regular task. I think that everyone should take care of their duties and learn how to excel at what they’re doing, learn the managerial skills necessary to be a boss then take the next step to making it happen.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
I have to agree with this article. I think the saying "Be the CEO of everything you do", makes a lot of sense. If employees take the tasks they are doing and approach those task with the mindset of a CEO, this will definitely produce better results. I don't think the message of this article is to go to work and start bossing people around, but instead to take charge of the things you are doing and perform like a boss would. Just like any employee, a CEO also must possess the skills required to work with and communicate effectively with others. Just because you work with the mindset of a CEO doesn't mean you will stop working well with others and start belittling other employees, that isn't something a CEO of a company should be doing. I believe this article was a great read.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One I agree with this article. If you’re going to do something, act like you own it and take pride at what you’re doing. Taking this approach into everything you will make you feel as if you can do anything, boosting your confidence along with having great and efficient results. Nobody wants to be the one who never completes his work, is always late, or doesn’t work hard and having this approach will make sure you’re not one of those people. I play basketball and throughout my career every one of my coaches has used this statement in some fashion. They want each player to practice or lead as if it’s their team therefore creating more leaders on the team, making the team a great team and the same thing is applied to the business world.

INSTANT MBA: Make Your "We" Larger Than Your "Them"
I like this concept. Keeping "We" larger than "Them" provides a teamwork approach. It allows for more cohesiveness within the company. I may have to try this concept at work, since we are becoming more of "Them." The more "We" are, the more we accomplish. Keeping us focused on the "We" approach can lead to more opportunities to succeed. It better to be "We" then to have a separation of "Them." I feel customers can see and feel the distance in the "Them" approach and appreciate the "We" togetherness.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
The type of boss that I see myself being will be as relaxed and passive as possible. The term “boss” has been given a bad reputation for being someone who micromanages and is hard to approach as an employee. Being a more relaxed and approachable boss can allow you easy access to the flow of information, interaction with your employees, and greater job satisfaction for everyone in the company.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
You can start to be the boss when you have enough information and know how as a lower level manager to take the lead. It is essential to know what you are doing and have the skills and the know how to take care of business. I do this a lot in that I will think of ways to maximize the output of each associate in the store and wish I could send the people to the right spots in the store.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
The message in this article is very powerful. As employees in an organization, if you face every task as if you are the CEO, you will really take charge and drive for great results. As employees we should face every project and activity in this way.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
I have always lived life this way. Being the boss doesn't technically mean you are the boss. It just means you have more money and the final decision. I have always done the best I can and have encouraged those around me. The name boss is just that person that you report you. The workers are the ones that make things happen and are rewarded when their hard work is noticed.

As a a leader one of the best things you can instill in your employees is confidence. I like the ideas in the article and think that leaders should talk to their employees about taking ownership of their work and pride in what they do. Leaders can also do this by acknowledging the work that their employees do. When a leader shows an employee that they value them and their work, then their employees are more likely to take pride in what they do.

Alt link 90: INSTANT MBA: Make Your "We" Larger Than Your "Them"
If its us versus them, you always want to have more of us then they have of them. The larger your we grows to include more and more people the better chances you have at growing your business.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
This is a good idea in any facet of life. Don't treat anything as if you were just some underling. An underling would let thinks slip up and by and not worry. But a CEO is invested in every part of his business. Be the CEO, even if your business is taking out the trash after you pick it up off the floor. Do it big.

INSTANT MBA: You Don't Have To Be The Boss To Start Acting Like One
No matter what you do in life, you must be able to take pride in the work you do. Being happy with your own work can help you a lot in not only the workplace, but in life as well. You don't have to be the boss to feel like you have power. You have power everyday in everything that you do. Take pride in the things that you do and do them to the best of your ability. You don't want to look back one day and have regrets that you could have done something different or better.
